  1. Thanks for the reply. I'll give this a try and report back.
  2. Hi Everyone. I'm currently having a tough time with the editor and was wondering if some of you veterans could help me. I'm attempting to create a custom team with a bunch of fictional players and no matter what I do, I just can't seem to get the engine to recognise any of them as home-grown, except those that are under the age of 21. I've pretty much made them all the same way, initially giving them 2000 days at my club, between the ages of 15 and 21. When that didn't work, I upped the number of days to 11,111, figuring that ought to ensure they had all been trained at my English club. But they still don't come out as home grown. Here are a few screenshots for one of my players. He's 25, born in England and has only ever played for my club. His main page, showing his basic information. His club contract. Days at Club/In Nation. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated as I'm absolutely tearing my hair out over this.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys. So are you saying that I'm not missing anything obvious then? I'm not anything wrong? Have I just inherited a team full of mardy players or something?
  4. Hi Everyone First of all, apologies if this post is in the wrong place. I'm new to the forums. I have a little issue which I need some help with and it is going to take some explaining, but if some of you veterans can stick with me and offer some advice I would be eternally grateful. Basically, I started a season as Mansfield Town and ran them into the ground. So I resigned and took up a post at Solihull Moors in the Skrill North. They had a pretty decent team of players, most of whom had their contracts set to end a month after the initial transfer window opened. None of them seemed to want to sign new contracts that were within the reasonable price range of my low wage budget. So almost all of my first team left just before the season began and now I have about 5 players in my squad. Now I love the idea of building a squad and molding it to my tactical desires as much as the next manager, but this is a bit extreme. I have an old save which I can load up, about a month before the players contracts end and I was thinking about offering them all mutual termination so that I can start building a decent squad from the beginning of the transfer window. But before I do that, i thought I'd ask if I'm doing anything wrong, because this whole situation seems really odd. So thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you can give me some advice. Ben.
  5. I see it. I'm gonna go through my squad, edit it with this value for all of them and then I'll let you know if it sorted it out.
  6. Hi Everyone. This is my first time on the forums so apologies if I've put this in the wrong place or not observed the correct etiquette. Basically, I have a problem that I need some help with. I have created my own custom databases on FM2012 and earlier and have been quite successful, but I'm running into a problem with the current editor. I'm trying to make my own personal, custom team, with all of my mates in it. I'm sticking the team in the English Premier League, but whenever I start a season and go to register my squad, none of them appear to have been 'trained in England for 3 years before their 21st birthday.' Even players who are under 21 years old seem to not meet this necessary criteria for squad registration. This is an issue I have been familiar with in my past edits, but I thought I knew how to get around it. Here's what I've done so far: - Under the 'Days at Club/In Nation' tab of the editor. I have ensured that they have been at my club for their entire career as well as checking the 'Between Age of 15 and 21 Only' box. - I have ensured that they all have been at the club for at least 3 years. - I have ensured that they are all declared for England. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am beginning to tear my hair out over this now. Regards, Ben.
