  1. Same method as if you where going to customize a squad view in the main game. R-Click customize current view, or even R-Click and insert, then just add what you want. You can only view them not edit them though. But I can still see the changes I made prior to 19.3 are still there.
  2. I don' have the in-game editor so have no idea what was in it before hand. The thing is that these stats are still in it you just have to put them on in your view, so I don't think they have been replaced as such. I just wish someone from SI would say something about all these threads that have popped up a simple. "We are aware of some issues and are working on it" would suffice maybe tomorrow someone will get back to us.
  3. I'm going to hope and say bug or unintended change, until we get confirmation of something. Funny thing is that you can still see the values if you make a custom view when in a Nation Search. I can also see the changes I made to them in a custom database, under the changes tab. So they are still there, not as if they decided to just do away with them. Seems to be a whole host of problems with the update so at least what I have done seems to be working.
  4. Just noticed that the Attribute Template section has been removed form a Nations Information section. Any one know if they have done away with this or has it been moved elsewhere?
  5. Yeah I have seen that thread and been looking at it for some inspiration as you said. However I wasn't thinking it along the same lines as the loser of "X" round qualifies for my competition but rather that when making the rules for my competition have it in a way it won't take teams involved in any other group stages. I have it set that it take 4 of the best teams from Ireland, N.Ireland, Scotland and Wales and hoped there was a way that when doing so it will block any team involved with the group stages of the other two cups. The game checks if they are involved/qualified to the group-stages of the other two, and if so blocks them from qualifying to mine, then moves on to invite the next suitable team from that nation. Turns out it is not that straight forward and looks to be a bigger job that what I thought. I was sure when I found this setting that was all it would take. Can anyone tell me what the highlighted section is intended for if not what I want to do?

Not sure if it is hardcoded or not, but in Ireland Derry City play in the Irish league system but they are based in Northern Ireland, this means the majority of their youth players are from northern Ireland and not the Rep. Of Ireland. You might be able to recreate it this way, but not sure if there is a way for a team to be based and play in one nation and get majority regens from a different nation.

I've made a custom Irish league database, and to run along side it I planned making a Continental competition running between Ireland, N.Ireland, Scotland and Wales, called the very not original name "The Four Nations". I can get this some what working, it takes 4 teams from each Nation and it runs. Straight forward enough 4 groups of 4 and the top 2 go though to the quarter finals, semis and finally the final. I just noticed something funky though, Ireland still has their 1 CL place but it doesn't get given to the winner of the league, I can't quite tell how it picks the team but its not the winner of the league or FA Cup. One year the winner of the first division got the CL place. When I start a save with only my custom league database on I can see under "Rules" ---> "Continental Qualification" that it lists the Champions/Europa League correctly but when I also load in my "Four Nations" competition this disappears. My idea behind this was just a simple continental competition that the smaller UK teams would have a chance at winning as well as another revenue source for my custom league that isn't just adding TV rights or sponsorships. (Obviously Scottish teams will dominate this but Irish teams should get though the group stages anyway Right now I would be happy with it working by just taking the top 4 from each nation and not messing up the CL/EL qualification but Ideally what I wanted to do was have System like the CL/EL have where if you get knocked out of higher tier one before the group stages you get entered into this. So for Ireland the qualifications would look like this. 1st - CL -->Drops to the EL if knocked out. ->Drops to my competition if knocked out of the EL before the groups. 2nd-EL -->Drops to my competition if knocked out of the EL before the groups. 3rd-EL --> Drops to my competition if knocked out of the EL before the groups. 4th-EL>Drops to my competition if knocked out of the EL before the groups. 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th - Gets into my competition if a team above them doesn't use up a space. Even better if the winner of the competition gets into the CL but I figure that's too much and would settle for a cash prize.
  8. So I am trying to get the final touches to my custom database in time for the new patch and I have noticed something that is really annoying(albeit minor in the grand scheme of things). I have been messing around with finances to try and get a nice balance, things like, TV Money, Prize Money as well as sponsorships and grants. My top two divisions(professional) seem to have a mix of finances after 10yrs holidaying which is good, although most just let their wages creep up and don't do much else to develop the team but at least the make use of the money albeit in a horrible way. But when you go down a division or two the Amateur teams do nothing at all with it. Teams are sitting with +£1-2mil in balance with nothing but positive projections yet I rarely see a team improve facilities. I started a test save with a buddy a while back at the lowest division and when we ask our boards they do improve facilities every so often and I have made significant improvements to my team, I think my board even did it on their own once too. Most recently I improved my Youth and Training costing £140K and £160K respectively when I had ~ £800k yet when I sim 10yrs + most of these teams will let a couple of mil sit in their accounts and never look to improve anything. Is there anything I can do to help this?
  9. I already think the Fa financial power is set to 20 and the economic factor is quite high also. I don't expect it to hit the £100mil levels but it would be nice if it at least got up to £15-30mil. I doubt that I could even play long enough to drag the league rating up to the top 5 anyway but it would be a good way to bring money into the league so other teams do well.
  10. So it works the same way as the Prize Money then? I'm guessing you don't know more than that like is there a formula that it follows or anything? Maybe it increase by a set % for every 1 place you go up in the rankings etc? If I currently have it set to £500k per season and the league ratings goes from 30th+ in the world to 1st over a time span of years, will it ever reach levels like the other top European leagues or are we looking at it just being a few mil more than the starting point? I'm trying to balance my database as I don't want it too easy, but at the same time I would like it to have a substantial increase if I ever managed to drag it up to the top 5 in the world.
  11. I'm making my own league system with the editor, and wondering is TV money the same as prize money in that it will go up/down with the leagues rating? If it is dynamic then I don't mind leaving it low as it will go up as I manage in the league and do well in Europe(eventually) but on the other hand if it isn't I would rather have the TV money high and lower the prize money as I know that does change. Bonus questions; Does the parachute payment follow the same rules? What about player wages/values, I know there is a setting under each nation for these corresponding to a particular reputation range. I'm unsure I if I want to edit these but at the same time I would hate to find out once I'm 10yrs+ into my game and being competitive in the champions league my players are still worth very little.
  12. I haven't had too many long term saves in FM19 as I'm waiting till the new patch. But I know Sessegnon has a minus potential, meaning his actual potential will be in a range so it will be different in every game. It could be that in your games you got unlucky and he was set with a PA at the lower end of the spectrum. If you want to check this you said you have the in game editor you could probably check what his CA/PA are at the minute if he is with in 5 points of his maximum PA then don't expect massive improvements to be made fast. It is also a very small time window you have posted so could be he just hasn't had the time to improve.
  13. I created a custom Irish league system that has 5 tiers, the bottom two are regional divisions that each have 3 leagues each. Everything was going smoothly enough so to add some life to the database I created some basic awards for each league and then a few Overall winners for the regional divisions, so for example each of the 3 individual leagues in my regional level 3 have their own awards but then I have awards set to the parent division that picks the best player(s) from all 3 leagues, So Overall Player, young player, top goalscorer, and flair player. These are all yearly based awards. Most of these work fine but the "Flair Player" "Of the Year" for the regional divisions takes players from every tier/league not just the 3 that make up that regional division so the winning player is always from some premiership team. The same thing happens in both the regional level 3 & 4 for the flair player award. The other awards I made in the same way work, "Overall top goalscorer" and both "Overall player/young player of the year", these work as intended and only take players from the 3 leagues contained in the regional division and they are set up exactly the same way bar the award type is set to "flair player" rather than "Highest average rating". Any ideas on how to keep this contained to the 3 leagues?

  15. Quick update on this, this morning my friends Steam/Football Manager 19 had a 600mb download even though he was already on 19.2.1 and he managed to get connected not sure what exactly that download was but for now he can connect, although he did say the game is painfully slow at times.

We have an ongoing save but haven't played in a while, normally we might need to restart the game once or twice before he could find the game but today when we tried he couldn't see the game at all when I host but we just checked and I could see a game he hosted and join just fine. We are both on 19.2.1.
  17. So I'm not 100% sure if this is a bug or not, or perhaps it is a newly implicated rule in the Malaysian leagues. But there is a rule in place that prevents me from even making offers for any players from ASEAN countries with less than 30 caps, including offering new contracts to players already at my team. I started a journey man save and got offered the job at Selangor Football Association, since they where one of the only professional teams who gambled on me I went with them. Two of their best players are both from Indonesia, which for those who don't know is an ASEAN country. Evan Dimas is 23 and only has 3 caps in my game(22 IRL according to Wiki) & Ilham Udin Armayn who is 22 and has 0 caps(2 IRL according to Wiki). They where signed IRL and this is their first season. At first I thought the rule in place was for signing players based in those nations, but I recently noticed (due to their deals running out) that I can't even offer them new contacts, which is quite annoying. My problem with this is how where they signed IRL? I tried to do some digging (My Malay is not up to scratch) but all I can confirm is that there is a rule in place limiting the amount of foreign players in the squad. From the sounds of it this should be a total in the squad and not just match-day squads, while ATM I have 8 (14 if you count trials) but good chance I just misinterpreted what I read.
  18. So this isn't going to be the most pressing of issues to fix as it only affects G-Sync users. Basically when in game (not match) and you stop moving your mouse the FPS drops to 40FPS, for most people this isn't an issue as FPS in menus really isn't important but with G-Sync this causes a really annoying flicker. This is partly an issue with G-sync and will happen in all games under a certain FPS threshold. The annoying thing for me is that the FPS drop I mentioned, I'm assuming it drops to conserve resources, I mean why bother using unnecessary power when your essentially looking at a still image, buy why does it stop at 40 and not 30, 20, 1? If it was a conscious design decision to stop at 40 is there any way to force it to stop at 60? It happens in both Fullscreen and windowed modes, however if you click off the FM window to a 2nd monitor, another program/desktop then the flickering stops. Assuming this is due to it being back in the desktop environment and g-sync is not kicking in or something. One obvious work around for this is to turn off G-Sync in the NVIDIA control panel for football manger only. Under "Manage 3D settings" --->"Program Settings"---->"Monitor Technology"
  19. Haven't got a new FM in a few years and finally getting round to playing FM19, I've been busy editing so wasn't paying much attention. So creating a new manager and I noticed the drop down box where it has preset styles to choose your manager attributes from, looking at this triggered an old memory and I went looking, I found this old thread from March 2012 where I made a suggestion that really wasn't well received but clearly was ahead of its time, as manager attributes never came into FM until 15 (not sure when the presets started). I just find it funny the responses to my post, even funnier is the fact I used José Mourinho as the example for charisma considering now-a-days he has the charismatic charm of a wet sock.
  20. If my PC is doing the work then would any slow down not be due to the internet connection rather than bloated database? Besides I wont be running a massive 100K+ database we are just starting in the lower leagues so I want plenty of options both for players and job offers if they come our way.

Me and most people I know who play do this, although typically I have GK as #1(if I have one at all on the bench) as it makes more sense, since your starting from one side of the pitch to the other. Back in the days of Champ Man before Football Manager was a thing me and a friend would always put on "inspirational music" for our players during matches, things like, Journey Don't Stop Believing, Push it to the Limit, Eye Of the Tiger etc Was great fun for setting the mood in big knockout matches. Let me tell you in 01/02 Samuel Eto'o damn well loved Van Halen Jump, any time I was 1 down and needed a goal I would turn it on and he would score. Don't really do it much anymore unless its in a big match in a multiplier game with mates round.
  22. Do you have any examples or figures on this? I would love to see them. I have never seen this though playing the game, admittedly I've never done any experiments or research like others in this thread but over my 1000s of hours each year I have never encountered a player who at the age of 25+ went form a low rep team(or lower league) to end up being a top player in a top league. IRL we can look at Vardy or Lalana as recent examples as well as others mentioned here. I have seen players who had high PA who never made it at all, one player who stands out had 200PA but <120CA aged 29 who moved about smaller European teams but never left a mark. Sorta related to this thread, I've been testing custom nation rules I've made so have had quite a few games where I went on holiday till 2040+ I never looked at hidden stats only curiously clicking about before going on to check things related to my database. I noticed a pattern on some mid tier payers, so decent to good players at lower end or mid tier premiership teams. They all seem to follow the same pattern good physicals, decent to good mental, but poor technical it was like all their CA was used up in the physical and mental stats, I never once noticed a player who had good to great technical stats but was let down by mental or physical. Again I only clicked about on a few players so I am only looking for reassurance not making accusations .
  23. Any one have any insight into this? I don't want to start a save that isn't sustainable in the long run because of something so simple as database size.
  24. So me and a friend are starting up our two player save as we have done over the years. However I have recently upgraded my PC so I'm now running a 8700K and 16GB 3600MHz RAM, whilst he is still on his old 4th gen i5. He doesn't want me to load in too many leagues as he is worried his PC wont handle it well, but if I'm the host does my PC not do all or at least most of the processing work?
  25. Just curious, did It take noticeably longer to play with so many leagues/Players? I have a pretty good PC(i7 8700K OC'ed to 4.8GHz all cores), but it stills drops to the 1/2 star once I turn on any databases that size. I usually play with a lot on but keep it 3 star or so performance but was considering going the full hog with every league on and and starting off unemployed this year but don't want to bother if it takes too long, I would be willing to sacrifice some leagues if it slowed the game down too much.
