I have to agree that a lot of the highlighted features are moreso tweaks to things that's been already in the game. No mention if the squad planning have any effect on AI squad building. Fixes to things like defense, counter attacking and low block have been talked about here for years but now its rolled out as a new feature, same thing with manager's play styles. Im grateful that those things are finally fixed but most games would include those in a patch.

I will be buying it but im not as excited as I was a month ago. Although 4/5 things listed in the highlighted features are things I care about, match engine and AI is the biggest but I'll reserve judgment on that considering the results in the past. However, If the AI is now able to counter attack instead of just getting beat on teams that high press and move forward then that would be a big improvement. On the other hand, if it wasn't for lack of eyes on MLS (bug reporting), I would probably wait to get the game until the final patch.

This was the thread I was looking for. It was mentioned that changes will be implemented but who knows when will that be, could be 4 years from now lol.

Fwiw, as someone who doesn’t really care about the graphics, it is time to get with the times. Compared to other managers games that are currently using 3D, FM is lacking. The excuse about older computers isn’t a valid excuse as it was 5-10 years ago simply because the game is available on multiple platforms now.

people played International management enough to realize it was "broken" which is was not but working as intended because there is no way to improve the infrastructure of a nation which could be a added feature in International Management was revamped.

The biggest complaint last year was about dynamic youth rating and building a nation. That right there should tell you how many people think International manager is "boring". Its boring because its the same since 2010.

No, I watched the video hoping for improvements to International manager along with other things like Match engine and AI. I promise you that manager history dynamic or whatever its call is not the reason I will be buying FM.

You are developing players though...It start at the youth team level and building a national pool. Before every International match up there is a training camp. Yes you won't run training like you would at Manchester U but you also dont run the same training as a semi Pro club either so I dont get your point here., Those training sessions are moreso about cohesion at senior level but at youth level there are more camps and most likely the training facilities at national team level are going to be better than club unless the player is already at the top flight. Not to mention mentorship of those youth players. mentorship dont stop once games or camp is over. It would most likely break if you take the player off of the national team which adds strategy on call ups.

I bought the game every year as a supporter hoping things that I enjoy would be improved. Yes, I enjoy the game for what it is but that doesn't mean I don't care about any other areas. For example most of my bug reporting here is for MLS but I never actually started a long term save in that league, mainly because its been faulty every year. Most of my testing is with MLS. Its ultimately the league I want to play and buy the game for along with International Management.

I literally purchased FM for the first time back in 2010 specially for International management, sadly nothing really changed since then.

This is an overall problem with that game that is hopefully fixed with the new AI and match engine improvements.

And your thesis is weak. Nothing you are saying is supported with facts.

For one, that might be the user's intended play style, to get through faster. Secondly, you can manage both club and national teams simultaneously which Im sure most people who like to build a nation would do and not to mention building a nation should be focused on International team. To answer you question, outside of playing games, your job is to scout and find players as well as hidden youth for the future. As of now, the scouting in this mode is non existent.

No all training are for attributes in the game. As in real life, training for national team is for cohesion and learning the tactic. And this is need if your team is constantly changing trying to find the right group of players to prepare for the world cup.

It's okay if you don't have any interest in the mode, but don't make false statements or try to speak for other players of the game.

There are literally multiple threads in the suggestion forums with details about how it can be impoved... And a lot of the things that are asked for are already in the game just not available for International management.

I think a revamp International Management experience should include the ability to improve the things that are currently fixed for a nation. Reaching goals as a IM should encourage the board to invest more into the infrastructure.

Attributes don’t always tell the story, besides, there are many hidden attributes. 5 - 10 games is enough for me.

managers fit players into their tactics and some managers adjust tactics to suit players. With that, plug n play tactics shouldn't give you instant success as they do in FM, you literally can play unsuitable players in a OP tactic and over achieve...Attributes need to play a bigger role.

Then handle it yourself. What is the problem?
