  1. How is that an unrealistic tactic? I don't think it's the user's fault if the game allows unsuitable players to use certain strategies. This would never fly in any other strategy game on the market.
  2. tbf, if they aren't accepting a regular starter role or squad player role, then that means they don't want to be in a rotation. It clearly says star player and you didn't try to offer them a star player contract. Stuff like this gets lumped in with legitimate player interaction problems.
  3. Yeah, I think Gegenpress is just synonymous with having all OP instructions enabled, and the preset Gegenpress has most of them selected. The lack of stamina problems when playing this style could come from the players not actually pressing when they should.
  4. Before reading the post after yours, about five new posters made the same repeated points about the game. But I digress.
  5. It's worth noting that the repeated content in this thread is predominantly coming from new contributors. There are only a couple of individuals who are repeatedly bringing up the same points, and they come from both sides of the argument. You can easily identify them by checking the top posters.
  6. You are right. This could also add to the difficulty. For instance, if you designate a player as a squad player, but he desires to be a regular starter, the negotiation may fail.
  7. Resigning hasn't been a problem, but I still play with non-contracts in level 8. The DOF does seem to give my starters a new pay-per-appearance contract every season, though.
  8. Most likely, everyone who has high-intensity tactics, high lines, press urgent, use gets sucked in, counter, counter-press, and attacking mentality. No plug-in-play tactic is complete without those pillars, so this is probably true.
  9. This is how I've been playing since DOF was introduced. It's frustrating when the DOF can't complete a deal, and the prompt for the manager to try ourselves is very tempting, but I chalk it as a loss. One thing I haven't decided on yet is whether I leave the playtime and contract at automatic or set parameters. I feel like the DOF sometimes doesn't take into account the already agreed playing time that is on the team, but that could also be me in not going after true backups, as I should be targeting players that are less skilled than my starters.
  10. They said they are more accurate than stat tracking IRL, so the stats aren't 1:1. They said tweaks to the match engine are hard, not the pass variation. Therefore, tweaking the ME to get a realistic pass % isn't a big enough reason. However, the pass % is clearly the result of poor defensive play mixed in with little to no separation of attributes, Where a 4 in passing can be as accurate as an 8 in passing. That example is in simple form, as I know other variables matter.
  11. I'm not talking about transfers; I am talking about the match engine.
  12. The none pressing issue have been going on for a few version now. There's so much that can be done with international management. Player interactions to convince them to play for the nation, scouting for the national pool and discovering youth for the youth team, dynamics, training camp, and Visions for the association and supporters of the nation. All this can also tie in with building a nation. The better the nation does internationally, the better resources are given to the nation.
  13. This is something I've been thinking about lately. I never seen anyone do a deep dive on this.
  14. Currently, I don't use a Gegenpress tactic as I prefer to create a tactic that suits my team (which sometimes may lead to Gegenpress). However, it seems absurd that I have to set house rules to make the game challenging. I have already delegated transfers, now I have to avoid certain styles too. What's next, delegating tactics?
  15. The match engine is good on the eyes (at least from a offensive view) but after playing more than 3 games, I can tell you attribute don’t seem to matter that much.
  16. Quoted for emphasis. as I mentioned in an earlier post, I am currently 0-5 but am getting praised for my tactics because we score a lot of goals…
  17. It means that they aren't scouted fully. It is usually referred to as minimal knowledge of the player, and the info may be 100% wrong. I think it turns green after you reach reasonable knowledge.
  18. I have just been promoted to Level 8 with a team that has Level 10 talent. Currently, we are in a takeover situation, which means the board has not allowed any new transfers. As a result, we have had a rough start so far. However, there is an issue of integrity that needs to be addressed. Despite conceding many goals, the fans and the board are happy with my tactics as we are scoring plenty of goals and showing great passing. I believe this is mainly due to the high-scoring games and high passing accuracy not necessarily the genius of my tactics.
  19. I am probably in the minority, but getting players on trials should be more challenging when managing a low-rep team. There is no way I should get a starting 11 from trials. I should be getting rejected by players that are way too good. Players offering their services should be easier to get on trial versus some random guy I found through scouting.
  20. Yes, and I want to be clear when I’m comparing to Barca or any top clubs in the world, it’s not the flair but the pin point accuracy and elite first touch.
  21. +1 I wish the defensive side of the ball got as much love as the offensive. Every time we hear anything about the ME, it is always in possession.
  22. I take hours played with a grain of salt. For me, the game is always running on my capable laptop, even when I'm not playing.
  23. Happened in one of my saves where I sim 10 years. Barely any transfers in the EPL.
