  1. Thinking of starting a thread entitled something like 'disillusionment - can i still experience joy in fm?' with some rules i've thought of so far -Unemployed start, but potentially not worst possible stats, I'll have to sim to find out, because: -Country & City (prob less strict with the actual city) must have good weather - My favourite weather is pretty hot all the time, but I'm partial to a mediterranean climate. Sunshine hours need to be relatively high (I live in one of the sunniest places possible in the UK but that + short winter days are still miserable). something vaguely like lisbon or bangkok. -Club must have at least a decent looking stadium. Capacity doesn't matter and I would prob. be lax with this as I know a lot of lower league stadia aren't particularly stunning. Being on the coast or having good looking surroundings will make up for a bad stadium. -Club badge & kit must be nice. Obviously subjective, but there is a lot of variety available i think. Mainly dislike either overly simple/boring/overly corporate (NYCFC, and lot of the american ones in general) badges or super ornamental ones -Use Asymmetrical formations or ones I never consider. I enjoy using asymmetric ones quite a lot but I'd also try and use stuff I just instinctively avoid (anything with M(R) or M(L), anything with 4 players in the M(C) row, anything ending 2-1-3, 3-2-1, or 1-1 etc.) -Potentially team instruction rules depending on my trial run save, stuff like tempo default or lower, always use pass into space, -Don't forget to nickname players (I normally give players vaguely funny nicknames then forget to do so for a few years) Have a few others I'll try and remember later Looking for suggestions on what nations i should make playable and which I should add in with the editor also, I want to keep files to less than I normally use (75ish total) but I will load in some leagues that are by default unplayable for sure. Will definitely add Costa Rica, Guatemala, and a few other centro-american countries, the missing south american nations, thailand, greece tier 2, some caribbean, and southern europe/northern africa. Most confident in the AFC & Americas files I have for stability, I may try and add a couple of caf ones but I'd like to not run into any competition rule bugs/mistakes. Also obviously ones with custom graphics available are preferred but if i've got a logo for it i don't mind the kit being old/missing Thanks
  2. are there any graphics already made for yugoslavia (old badges/leagues/etc)? If not I'd try and put a little time into it.
  3. Loving managing in ASEAN but it's annoying that we don't have the formats in the base game, is anyone working on it atm, or is there an fm23/older file? Thanks
  4. Anyone have experience going from AM4 to AM5 and a 7800x3d or similar? Am planning to upgrade from my ryzen 5 5600 to am5 and a 7800x3d.
  5. I like giving my players goofy nicknames in most saves, and the default character limit is just a bit too short for a couple, is there any way around this?
  6. what was the error you got? I've just had my game crash a bunch on launch with errors that seemed like they might be skin related and fixed by deleting my skins folder
  7. Do you have a link to the costa rica db you're using? I haven't been able to find one anywhere
  8. Trinidad and tobago transfer window should be roughly April 20 to May 17 (transfermarkt says may 17, random article i found says may 10) Guyana windows are only a bit off but should be Jan 1 to 31 and June 1 to July 31 (source) haiti shows up as 2002, not sure if this makes any difference in game Can you edit windows with the in game editor? Otherwise I might have to start a new save for now . May give Guyana a try but may wait for your update
  9. Did you add stadium names btw? There's a couple of errors in trinbago, some are hard to verify but there's a few you can find reliable info for if you want me to post them here or make a file
  10. At least I ended up with this lol Currently in Trinidad & tobago and I have most of the leagues loaded with 6 or 7 in full detail level so i'll see if anything else comes up
  11. cuban squad registration rules are broken, even without substitutes you need 18 home grown players which isn't possible, holidaying just used all grey names
  12. do you know if this would have any issues working alongside your concacaf clubs in libertadores file?
  13. awesome. will definitely try this out, so how many qualified teams per season do you get into the concacaf champions league itself in total?
  14. skins\FM24 Rensie\panels\game\intro panel.xml add this code after line 42 (after "container id="CHWc" section) <widget class="picture" id="bkg1" file="main menu/background" image_alignment="bottom" scale_picture="true" keep_aspect_ratio="false"> <layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="all" inset="0" /> </widget> skins\FM24 Rensie\graphics\main menu add your background image with title "background"
  15. any planned updates coming? been using this as my main skin since it dropped, thx for the work
  16. i'd understand if i'd had an email from their manager earlier into his loan but recalling a player on a season loan in march because of a role he's been used in since august (and played incredibly well in) is just dumb
  17. Apologies if this has been raised before but is anyone else experiencing a load more of managers threatening loan recall events? I've been having it with players who are 2-3 weeks into their loans, as well as with players getting the most game time in their position as possible but being recalled (without an inbox item to discuss it with the manager of the loanee's club), in particular this happened with a striker I had on loan who played basically every minute he was eligible for and after 24 games and 17 goals he was recalled because I've been playing him as a PF and not an AF? I get that it's in the contract when you loan a player but I didn't recieve any complaints from his club until the point when he was recalled (he has been used as a PF or DLF the entire year) , it seems like managers either get upset at loan terms almost immediately or don't at all for a lengthy period and then you're suprised with a loan player getting recalled out of nowhere.
  18. apologies, just wanted to look at the big generational gaps, idk about anyone else but i've been considering whether to upgrade to the best possible chip for am4 (5800x3d) or just upgrade my platform completely (currently on an r5 5600), or maybe upgrade to something like intel 12th gen
  19. Is it possible to change the tendency of managers to recall their players on loan to you through the editor/ is there a tool/file that exists to do so? I know I should negotiate this in the loan contract but some of the decisions made are completely baffling (such as recalling a striker for being played as a PF not an AF who had 17 goals in 24 games)
  20. i have the beta version installed (from his patreon). Haven't played far enough into the future to comment on the changes yet but will do once I have.
  21. quick spreadsheet of results https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1n7svAeO0HjEwwQSIcaQiQUTLC4ZaZcKeHIp-5cQaRnM/edit?usp=sharing Looks like there's a pretty significant jump in performance once you get to am5 and intel 12th gen desktop chips, would be interesting to see how mid-tier am5 chips (ryzen 5 7600, ryzen 7 7700, etc) perform vs am4.
  22. I've got a liga mx save with a large database and canada, america, argentina, chile, colombia, brazil, peru, I don't run very high levels of detail level especially for international comps, and my player count is around 60k right now (when i started the save i loaded in some extra players in the region of central america), usually tend to go for that rather than cranking details. I'm in january 2027 and it takes about 35-45 seconds to holiday a week including a match, so performance is still right around the benchmark 1 setup although mine is lighter on the detail I'm only a year into another save i've been running but it has more leagues, i'm managing in ireland (2 leagues loaded) and have argentina, mexico (2), portugal (2), scotland (2), england down to league 2, italy (2), colombia (1), and france (2) loaded and it's super responsive so far (also has a lot higher detail level relatively) I don't have a huge need for many leagues but I'm probably going to try and run a database with something like 80k-100k players next and see how that goes.
