The top one is most performant, but might be overkill, depending on the requirements for FM25. It would be a good choice though. The Ryzen laptop is also worth considering as it has a more capable iGPU which means you could use that rather than the 4060 when away from a wall plug, giving better battery life.

    First one for me

Yeah I agree the top is best spec, but it's a case of is it really worth the extra cost?  Would I get value for money?

Also, I was leaning towards the F15 due to processor, but is the ryzen 7735HS more than good enough for FM performance?

  2. Hi all,

Looking at laptops at £900 - £1100, found these three, which is best value for money do you think? (primarily for FM25 but also will dabble in other games - RDR2/GTA etc)

    Asus TUF A15 AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS 16GB 512GB RTX 4060 144Hz 15.6 Inch Windows 11 Gaming Laptop - Laptops Direct

    ASUS TUF Gaming F15 Intel Core i7 16GB 512GB RTX 4050 144Hz FHD 15.6 Inch Windows 11 Gaming Laptop - Laptops Direct

Also, has anybody used one of these and can tell me if the screen quality is as average as the reviews say?

    Any feedback appreciated

  3. I am currently in season 6 of a 4 player hotseat game.  I have quite a few playable leagues loaded and approximately 145k players too

The game says my recommended player limit is 125K, however ive never worried about those size limits before as ive only ever played the game for 12 (real life) months before the new one came out

Now i intend to carry over my save from FM23 to FM24 (and possibly beyond) - im concerned about the state of the save game file.  It is 425MB in size, loads fine and saves fine, but seems to be growing fairly quickly. Am i likely to encounter issues if it is this size after completing 6 seasons?  Is that an abnormally large file size or should i stop worrying?  The only issue im encountering so far is issues using steam cloud (as i flick between laptop and desktop) - but im not overly concerned about that at the moment as that has always been sporadic

Any advice would be rgeatly appreciated

  4. My advice would be to test both monitors again, get it back to the point where it starts to freeze, then check your resources

All i can say is that ive been doing what you are trying to do and it works fine, so the capability is not an issue - you just need some more evidence to find out why it is happening

I tried it just running youtube and fm it was fine for a few hours and then freezed up,

    my specs are

    amd ryzen 5 2600x

    32gb ddr4

    500 ssd

    500 m.2 ssd

Im sorry to hear that, i run FM most days for 12 hours or so, with Youtube/Horizon view client/multiple browsers etc on two monitors

Maybe check your task manager whilst it is freezing, see whats maxing out your resources

  6. Thats not an issue with FM mate, it's a resource issue (memory, possibly CPU too). Playing 2 x games at once is a real drain on resources.

Memory intensive games like Minecraft and FM dont tend to go well together at the same time, unless you have a ton of spare resources.

For example I play FM and Escapists and that works ok, but Escapists isn't too bad.  For info i have 16GB RAM

  7. Hi,

Miles mentioned yesterday that he did not recommend starting a multiplayer in the Beta and carrying on into the full game.

Can someone please confirm if this related to network games, or hot-seat games?

I want to add a second manager on my career game, but not put the game at risk so i cannot carry on

    Cheers
