  1. I think you have a great chance to achieve an amazing ME if you take this problem seriously and make some major improvements. In November patch you fixed all the other serious issues. Maybe a bit of the beta chaos could be brought back, to lower possession percentages, but there aren't any big issues in the ME. That gives you a great advantage to be able to focus on dribbling and cutting inside. I encourage you to make this problem a priority because you have a great ME that allows you to focus on this issue. In a few weeks you fixed all the defensive bugs... I am sure that if you try to improve this issue you can also do it for the next patch, but the first step is to recognize that dribling and cut inside don't work properly. I encourage you to do it, you do a good job
  2. But that always happens with the ME and, despite this, the developers try to fix the issues, and many times they succeed. This issue comes from FM22, it has been reported since then with dozens of pkm... I think it would be appreciated if you at least make sure you try to improve it... At least try. The opposite would be very frustrating... We are talking about one of the most important roles in football, one of the most beautiful skills in football, dribbling, and it seems that nobody at SI takes the problem seriously. I think two years is a long time, the community is being patient and helping with a lot of pkm, honestly I think we deserve at least some effort from SI to fix this issue.
  3. It's subjective, you're right. But I think those pkm already show that in situations where they can dribble, they avoid dribbling. For work reasons, I won't be able to upload pkm until the end of December. But after Christmas I will try to upload many more pkm from 1 vs 1 situations and counterattacks where the attackers don't dribble having a favorable situation. I hope that by showing many more situations like this, the developers take the problem seriously because, if the defense issue is really already fixed in the next patch, improving the dribbling issue, the ME would be wonderful.
  4. I'm not saying it because of this issue... But in the Bug Tracker there are dozens of issues reported with pkm since October and everything is "Under Review"... Other years they recognized Known issues much more quickly. We can't criticize people for not reporting on the Bug Tracker when they're doing it and there's no response. We are at the end of November... It is supposed that around the second week of December there will be a major update. And Si still haven't identified the Known issues? How are they going to solve the problems in time if by now they haven't identified them? Do they know about the problems and do not communicate them? I don't know exactly what is happening but this year the communication in the Bug Tracker can be greatly improved. All is "Under Review"...
  5. And the instruction to "Dribble more", and the instruction to "face the defense more"... You can't see it on the field. Players are increasingly playing by default, ignoring instructions from managers. And some of these complaints, if you put them in this thread, do not feel good, and if you report them in the Bug Tracker with pkm, some like the dribbling issue, it has been reported for almost a month with many pkm and it continues "Under Review" and all the answer you find after telling us that more examples were not needed is that "Upload more plays" It's frustrating...
  6. It is difficult to prove this issue uploading 2, 3 or 5 plays because I can think that the player should dribble in all cases and you that only should dribble in half. I think if SI does a detailed study of the behavior of IFs and dribblers in general, they will see that they have an exaggerated tendency to look for the pass and in many 1v1 situations they avoid the dribble and they play as attacking midfielders, playing a very associative football. and without the spontaneity and magic that characterizes dribblers... But if, with all the pkm already uploaded, it is not enough and we are invited to upload an infinite number of plays, I understand that the developers do not have much awareness or intention to recognize and fix this issue.
  7. My feelings after trying FM23 are contradictory. I think that the ME has a lot of potential, I see more tactical variety than in FM22 and the players are more intelligent understanding the play and the support of their teammates, I see chaos in the midfield, poor controls... All of this is excellent. I think there is a great job but I see two important problems that are already reported by several gamers: 1- There are too many absurd defensive errors and positional errors and defending the back. It's too easy to break lines with a pass into space. I'm sure this will be fixed in the next patch. 2- The IF and dribblers with the ball play more like an attacking midfielder, they look too much for associative play and passing into space and very rarely dribbling and running with the ball inside... As soon as they have a defender in front of them, they pass the ball. I see their decisions with the ball as very unnatural, they are one more actor in a choreography of passes but without nerve or daring to face defenders. I think if they fix the defensive issue and get the IFs and dribblers to play more like FM21 by keeping the rest of the ME like FM23 it will be an excellent ME, but if they ignore the dribbling issue for another year it would be very disappointing. I do not intend to open a debate about dribbling and I am not going to discuss it because the mods already warned us about it, but now that I have been able to test the ME 23 I wanted to leave my impressions both positive and negative from the respect and recognition to people who works in SI.
  8. My apologies. For my part, I drop the subject. Today with my message I intended the opposite of continuing with the discussion. Simply, as several users kept talking about the subject, I proposed a solution so that each manager can decide in one click if he wants more or less dribbling... I thought that this shouldn't bother or create controversy but rather consensus. I should have imagined that a troll with free time and desire to annoy could always appear. The bug is already reported, whether it is fixed or not, I will propose that idea in the corresponding thread as a possible FM improvement for the future.
  9. Bow? Improving the game and listening to constructive criticism from the community is not bowing down. I'm glad you're nobody at SI, because luckily they do listen to the community and that's why this forum is so active. 1%? This problem was the most reported in FM22, is it the most discussed in this thread and its thread in the Bug Tracker is the most visited. But if, based on an in-depth statistical study, you tell us that it only bothers 1%, it is surely true. The human condition will never cease to amaze me... I propose a solution to a problem that: Allows those who like dribbling to follow exactly how it is and simply allows those of us who are not happy to be able to develop our football as well. A simple click, you mark Vinicius "dribbling less" and he plays like Iniesta to give passes, I mark "dribbling more" and he dribbles again and again. And that bothers you? Maybe you like to argue for screwing over others, because it is incomprehensible that you should be bothered by a solution that does not affect you at all and solves what is a problem for many people.
  10. Regarding the controversy with dribbling, I see a simple solution that would make everyone happy. Open the "Dribble More/Dribble Less" option in all attacking roles and enhance its effect on players' tendency to dribble: - If you check "dribble more" that player will look for dribbling much more, almost always in 1 vs 1 situations and with space but also in not so favorable situations. - If you mark "dribble less" that player will tend more to look for the pass even in favorable situations and 1 vs 1 and will only look for the dribble when the situation is very clear. - If you do not check any option, he will dribble in 1v1 and advantageous situations and adopt a more balanced attitude, depending on the role, to decide when to dribble or pass. I think it would not be difficult to do, there are already many instructions that can be checked or unchecked within each role. I don't know if it would be possible to do it in FM23 or if we would have to wait for FM24. But I think it would be the ultimate solution to the problem and one that we would all be happy with
  11. 100% agree, that argument of "The current trend in football is to dribble less and play more patient football." Apply it to AI teams, not gamer teams... If I want dribbles, quick transitions and rock & roll, why does FM have to stop me from playing like that just because "it's not cool" ?. Something that is also debatable seeing who are the last two Champions League finalists... Klopp's fast transition football and Madrid's most crazy dribbler in the world, Vinicius Jr. I did not see Barcelona or Manchester City in Paris and his tiki-taka patient football.
  12. It is difficult to see dribbles inside the area. But in FM23 and 22, as reported in the Bug Tracker, the problem comes when in 1v1 situations near the box or in counterattacks with space, elite dribblers like Vinicius, Mbappé or Salah stop and look for the pass instead of trying to dribble taking advantage of that 1 vs 1 situation. I don't want constant unrealistic plays of a player dribbling past 4 or 5 defenders either, but in FM23 dribblers don't take advantage of 1v1 situations to dribble when in reality they try to dribble much more often.
  13. I see you don't understand the difference between "It never happens" and "It doesn't happen enough." Even if you upload 3, 4 and 5 times the same video, it will still not happen enough.
  14. Again... It happens, it doesn't happen enough. Uploading 1, 2 or 3 videos taking advantage of the few times that happens and saying that there is no problem is cheating because it is easier than uploading the 30 matches that I have seen where it does not happen enough or the dozens of times that I see a dribbler standing scared whitout dribbling in front of his defender in a 1v1 situation.
  15. Very little happens. When it happens it is usually far from the area. It almost never happens in the last third. Just because it happens once doesn't mean there isn't a problem... The problem is that dribblers try to dribble a lot less than they should. We are not saying that they never do it, but that they abuse the pass or the cross when their natural tendency should be to dribble the defender. They try little, very little And... Running with the ball inside is not exactly the same as dribbling... But neither of them do it enough, just rarely.
