    This feels like a very comfortable win for France coming up. Poland have got to show something. They're gonna be defensive and that's fair and understandable but they really need to try and attack far more than they did against Argentina, which was just an awful display considering they weren't far off going out. If they play like that all France need to do is show patience, they'll get one eventually.

    Yeah very valid Was a genuine question as my football knowledge is garbage these days so my main thoughts were the likes of France who obviously have a massive chance of winning the thing but if they get 3 or 4 injuries/suspensions they're definitely weaker. Though also having said that our main strength in depth is in attacking areas, at centre back and in centre mid we're not anywhere near as strong. Basically I'm chatting ****

    I'd be starting Rashford personally but it's nice to have so many legitimately good options and he's not exactly insane for picking Saka (as much as I criticised his USA performance) and Rashford off the bench is a very good option of course. Not just a well rounded 11 but a pretty well rounded squad overall, not sure any other squad has this level of depth?

    Feeling a 0-0 first half where we create like 2 chances but limit Senegal to very little, get a goal at about 53rd minute then see it out comfortably 2 or 3 nil. I hope.

    I don't think they'll be as dodgy when Netherlands counter as US were today and outside that I'm not sure where Netherlands score, feels like a 0-0 waiting to happen.

    Netherlands will try counter which Argentina are less susceptible to, but they won't be scared watching this for sure. What I would say though is if they give Messi the spaces they gave the US at times today they might not be as able to defend as they were today, but overall their tactical set up should see them more than capable of beating Argentina.

    Never a time to panic just 30 minutes into the game but Argentina really need to up their game at some point, been straightforward for the Aussies to defend against them so far annnnndddd they've just scored

    Netherlands game plan was good, USA were incredibly disappointing, and there you go. Really bad goals to concede, and Pulisic was a horror show

    Feel like US are gonna get picked off on the counter again soon

    I think the Dutch gameplan has been good but I really don't think they can do that against a better team. If USA had better quality they could easily have created so many chances but have been dreadful in the final third and very poor defending for the second goal.

    USA have found decent spaces plenty of times now and completely ruined the chance to work a decent opportunity. Netherlands will be content but there's enough here that the USA could get something eventually but they've got to be loads better in the final third.

    This commentary feels a bit gushing over Spain against Japan to me, clearly it's working so far and they've nullified the USA even more now but bloody hell

    Though having said this the Dutch counters do look very good

    I get the Netherlands are going for a counter attacking style but commentators acting like this is some masterplan going perfectly seems insane to me, I really don't think this is a good performance and USA look like they'll create chances and indeed already have. They look like they're lacking quality up front though.

    It's a difficult one and players shouldn't be able to get yellows willy nilly for sure, but get booked in your first group game for something of nothing (maybe even a card happy ref) and you're walking a tightrope for several games after is insane to me.
