  1. So i know this feature was took out on the "basis of it being illegal" and yet it ain't even in the UK it isn't. when clubs have fined their players for a lot of things with well documented case like Zouma being fined a reported 1 month wages for the video about his cat.

most worker laws about "fines" also state about minimum wage in that an employer can't fine an employee if it then puts that employee below the minimum wage.

to me it just feels like a copout excuse to take it out if im honest as player interaction is at an all time low in actually realism and they then get rid of one of the only few things that actually seemed to do anything.

So you are in the top league but they never allow you to upgrade the junior coaching and youth recruitment ? The biggest reason why you are getting poor intakes is that you only got a basic and adequate coaching/recruitment.

yeah only past season have they considered and its been after trying 3-4 times with constant "begging" for them to do it.

at one point i had to risk my job and leak to press to get them to go from poor youth facilities to adequate

i guess i just hit a bad boardroom in my save but bit annoying when i would like to really now push the youth intakes

  3. started this but not doing a youth save after already having done one at start of FM22.

but i actually feel my youth intake is broken :D ive not had anything better then "poor" intake even though i just win Portuguese top league and on course for another.

think my best player was one who has just shown up in most recent intake and at best he is 3 star player.

also with £40m+ now in the club due to champions league the board still just refuses to invest they are constantly refusing to improve my youth facilities any further

I finished my 1st season with Bordeaux. We finished 2nd, qualifying for Champions League group stages. I spent about 7 million in the first 2 windows combined, and recouped 3-4 million in player sales. I was shocked at the end of the season to see the initial budget set at £0. The balance is 7 million and the finances are secure. We just qualified for the champions league. I'm pretty screwed now because my best player Adli was on loan as well as few others.

Is there a way to get the board to change the budget other than speaking to them? They rejected my request... Or will the budget change when the new season commences? I would have thought a 20-30 mil transfer budget would have been fair here? Am I missing something?

i mean the balance is 7m so where was you thinking you would get 20-30m it very much depends on owners and Bordeaux owners are a bit **** but thats part of the enjoyment of no club being the same.

tbh though your a top 5 european league team that also now offers champions league the players you can bring in for free will be easily good enough to win that league. then go look at some of the massive european clubs and see who they have available for loan they will be happy to send out very good players to you cause its such a high level of football.

yes thats a decision you'd have to make from case to case .  But I cannot make a decision without knowing the answer to my questions.  For example, not knowing if it would take much longer to train not role-typical attributes.

Sorry but I have not played this game for long enough to know this from experience.

btw, in your particular example, I'd say jumping reach is very important in this game and especially for strikers  - regardless of it being marked as important for this role

you have to remember even if you set individual training you have your general training each weak and players are in there different "units" which dictate what they get out of each training "block"

for example if you look at "chance conversion block" the attacking "unit" will be training [finishing, heading, long shots, technique, anticipation, composure] but the defensive "unit" will be focusing whatever their role/individual training is

a striker is going to improve all his finishing attributes over time just because he is also in the attacking "unit" which will also include some other attacking attributes - generally you want to give individual focus to improve an area so say i really want to push that 14 finishing striker into an elite finisher i can focus his "shooting" on individual which means he will do more training on that which will lead to a more likely increase(but not guarenteed sometimes you just get a player that will not increase)

overall i would say you will never have a player where you only want 1 attribute to increase, you may see a few that could do with focusing and so you will use the individual to put a bit more emphasis on them likely improving. but also remember you are rarely going to be able to change say a poacher who is just pace and finishing into a complete forward as complete forwards are some of the most demanding roles in the game.

I'm doing an extreme LLM in the North West Counties. What is the best way to find players? Also, what is the best way for staff? Ie, should I employ scouts etc?

staff at that level just advertise the job and pick the best option as you arent going to bring in much better.

best way to find players is to look at free players and loans. for pretty much all low league management saves you dont need to spend a single bit of money on transfers to get promotions upto your top league as there are countless free transfers that will get you where you want.

in extremely low quality leagues physical attributes matter 100000x more then anything else. a fast player will dominate even if he has 5 finishing. so look for good physical players.

generally just playersearch free players and then get some loans in to help give that bit of extra quality in area's.

try to keep your tactic simple and you should have an easy time with promotions.

  7. on this talk about SV i really feel this is Pogba for Man United as i tend to watch games a bit differently to standard fan in that i love to try and work out how the team is overall in shape, their roles etc and the different Man United look when Pogba is in that role is night and day.

SV role is heart of the team when setup think Yaya Toure few years ago for Man City he would bulldoze his way through the midfield from deep positions linking up the defence to attack and allowing the support players space due to how the opposition has to react to such a player pushing through midfield.

i actually feel Ferguson use to do this role or similar but went under the radar with it quite often with how his teams worked and their seemed to be a hard working/high stamina player who seemed to be deep to help protect but pushed forward with the ball opening up space not just for himself but others around him. Anderson did this somewhat well albeit his deficiency in the ability to perhaps do the final aspect of the role in ability to score.

Fellaini before his injury seemed to be given similar instructions by Mourinho to the SV in that hes to play as a defensive mid when he doesnt have the ball yet then pushes forward making use of link ups and just his sheer size to bulldoze through the middle 3rd of the pitch, was effective in the few games i saw him play there.

  8. I actually had something very similar set up, but I just can't create enough. Facing teams that are usually quite happy to camp in their box, is there anyway to try and get the final pass. I was thinking about moving the IF to an attacking role but don't want him moving away from his full-back and getting too far forward. There just seems to be a lack of a little bit of flair and I'm not really sure where my goals will come from. I'm tempted to move the shape to fluid to try and encourage a little bit more invention but I don't want to lose out on the possession. An example was my last game where sunderland lined up with a bank of 5 in defence, 4 in midfield and 1 up top. I just struggled to create anything clear enough. Close to 600 passes, but only 7 shots on target. 2 CCCs, which one was a missed pen and my equaliser was actually a last minute OG.

so many shots yet so many off target + only 2 actual clear cut.

as cleon stated look at all those shots its most likely a lack of support + poor decisions causing that player to take a long shot.

can always go with plan b in games like that switch in tall players and go direct fellaini can be a wrecking ball through a whole backline of 4 when used correctly because hes good in the air and good with his feet.

also i feel u will always have the odd game where they just defend like their life is on the line and are unstoppable but setting up set pieces can catch those teams out as a extra option as while you want to create possession football you still need multiple ways to score.
