  1. I don’t believe the only options on the table should be radio silence or vague communication. The good thing is that we’re told what to expect in the upcoming update so that is something.
  2. So the announcement of the final update being out during early April comes in… early April. Right.
  3. I’ve only seen @Rashidi and @XaW do it. Maybe herne did when he was still a mod, I don’t remember. EDIT: Just seen that @XaW has beat me to it.
  4. Human manager players receiving lowball offers is nothing new. I’m convinced that there’s some aspect of artificial difficulty introduced now in this update. Two different clubs and my players keep underperforming in xG for and against. I had an easier time with a lower rated club prior to the update. Feels oddly reminiscent of FM 23.
  5. On the default database without the realism files I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case since it was the same for me in the past.
  6. Same here to an extent. I don’t know if it’s because the update has overruled the realism editor files or something but almost every good player at the top clubs in the Prem are valued in the triple figures when that wasn’t the case prior to the update. I wouldn’t mind it if my own players were valued similarly but they’re not. Trent has a valuation similar to Gibbs-White, Harwood-Bellis, Janelt, Rutter, Sangare, Ramsey and Brennan. Even worse is Pedri, arguably the best midfielder in the league having a max valuation of 76 million pounds while a similarly good midfielder in Ødegaard has a minimum valuation of over 200 million.
  7. Garnacho and Mainoo are not established first team regulars in this save though, they were both out on loan in the last two seasons with Mainoo being out on loan in the Championship. It’s the club grown aspect of it that I’m doubtful about since when I’ve made similar promises to players when they got upset over lack of replacements or continental football they tended to be fine when I played players who weren’t club grown in those positions. At worst you shouldn’t be sacked for it without any form of board meeting asking to explain yourself. The only lesson I’ve learnt is that promises as a whole are completely finicky. I don’t mind it though since they lost the final after that and I’ve now taken over at Liverpool who are in a better position. Can’t wait to make these fools regret their decision and can’t wait to see them slide into mid table mediocrity again.
  8. So I’ve been sacked in my save despite having a manager performance of B- (and surpassing every expectation plus club vision ones except the FA Cup target) according to the board because I didn’t fulfil a promise of playing youth players. Now this is not something that’s part of the club vision or something that I promised when I took up the job, it’s something that happened when I wanted to move an ageing Varane on high wages who was unsettled anyways with a year left on his contract and the board refused a decent fee for him because they thought it was too low for some reason and so I ended up giving that promise. In his place I wanted to play a Norway wonderkid who the club had bought before me but was on loan for the last two seasons and he ended up making thirty appearances in the season out of which twenty were starts. In addition I’ve also given decent minutes to Garnacho and Mainoo. Now my question is if these don’t count as youth players anymore because the latter two are 22 years old and if the former isn’t considered youth because he’s 21 years old and not club-grown? Because when I’ve made similar promises to players they’ve usually been satisfied with scenarios like above. Further the sacking was completely abrupt with the only reminder of it being hidden in the promises tab. There was no indication that I would be sacked if I failed it too. You usually tend to get an emergency board meeting if you’re failing to meet expectations or failed to meet a target, why was nothing triggered in this instance? Worst of all, the sacking was done the day after the final league match day, on the day when my summer signing won the PFA Young Player of the Year award (oh, the irony) and with the Europa League final in two days. A club that hadn’t played any form of European football for the two seasons prior to this one and had no expectations of Champions League qualification decided to sack their manager two days before their most important game of the season.
  9. Did they increase the chances of being FM’ed in the winter update to make the game artificially difficult? My Man Utd team has currently got an underperformance of -8.74 in xG for and has +2.6 xG against. No other team in the top five leagues of this save has a similar underperformance in goals scored relative to xG and chances created. The next worst teams in this regard are all in the relegation spots or close to it. I would get it if I’m racking up a bunch of low xG chances that wouldn’t result in goals ultimately but my players are missing one clear cut chance per game on average, shooting at the keeper or over the bar at point blank distance, having an offside goal per game that probably doesn’t get counted in these stats. The only saving grace is that I don’t get the dreaded hitting the woodwork issue that used to happen in the past. I don’t mind the defensive underperformance since my system is fairly risky and my defenders and goalkeeper aren’t the best but two of my attackers are in the media dream XI and one of the midfielders used to be there too. Either the update has tweaked something or the FM gods have cursed my players to not finish.
  10. I've been at a new club for six months in my save and with sixteen scouts on my payroll, eleven recruitment focuses for different countries and regions and two for specific roles I still keep getting the same twenty to forty names recycled over and over again. I don't remember the scouting being this useless in FM 23, there was a healthy mix of players previously scouted and new ones being added.
  11. Speaking of interactions.... Least passive aggressive interaction sequence in FM. Can we get a rework of every interaction in the game along with the move to Unity to make them sound more human at least?
  12. This is such a pet peeve of mine, the AI not playing by the same rules as the human managers off the field. My own gripe with this relates to managerial appointments. For the love of god, can this abominable statement “failing to shortlist you because of your complete lack of experience in winning league titles” be binned from the game or at least be applied to clubs that have won a league title in the last 5 or even 10 years? It’s one thing for Man City or Real Madrid to say this but it’s downright hilarious when the likes of Newcastle who haven’t won a top division title in nearly a century or Tottenham who haven’t done so in over fifty years say this. They don’t follow any such process IRL because it’s completely unrealistic. But hey, if you’re going to have such requirements then at least have the requirement apply to the AI too. In my current save I’ve been rejected by nearly all of the top clubs citing this as a factor when I’ve taken West Ham to a FA Cup final, league runners-up spot and won a Conference League trophy. Any young English manager who takes a club from a relegation spot to European football in two seasons along with a title challenge, cup finals and a trophy will at least get interviews or clubs pursuing them. Instead, I’ve never been shortlisted after applying for any top level job due to that requirement and I’ve never had any club pursue me or offer me any role. Instead I’ve seen Man Utd appoint Tony Mowbray whose only PL experience if I’m correct is in that solitary season where West Brom got relegated after promotion and then sack him a few months later with the club in relegation spots to appoint Thiago Motta whose only achievement of note was finishing fifth with Bologna and taking them to the Champions League. Arsenal in my save have meanwhile appointed Vincenzo Italiano whose achievements are the exact replica of mine in this save but hasn’t even won that European trophy I did. Chelsea are now about to appoint Gattuso whose sole managerial trophy is that Coppa Italia with Napoli. The former have finished 9th and 12th while the latter have finished in 7th in the two seasons I’ve played. No doubt once Motta gets sacked because they’re still in mid table Man Utd will not shortlist me because I lack league winning experience and instead appoint another manager from the Championship who won that division ages ago. Or maybe they’ll finally appoint Rooney like the in game media wishes them to? EDIT: A club finally accepts my application in Lazio and they still stress that they have strong reservations over my suitability because of my complete lack of experience in winning league titles. FFS you’ve won only two league titles in your club’s history and the last one was a quarter of a century ago, how delusional can you be while you’re struggling to qualify for Champions League football in the last two seasons?
  13. Pretty sure this is the case for most non-EU players. If they join you at 18 and stay in the club for the next three seasons without being loaned out they should become club grown for you.
  14. Thank you but unfortunately even this hasn't seem to have fixed it for me.
  15. I don't think they've acknowledged it as a bug so it is probably working as intended according to them.
  16. It hasn't worked unfortunately, even after deleting the other skin before switching to Statman. Somehow a full reinstall is the only thing that resets it.
  17. So I’ve managed to replicate the graphical bug with the attributes I had earlier by switching to another regular skin (SAS in this instance) and then switching back to Statman again. Weirdly enough I did reset the cache and restart the game before switching. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?
  18. The Youth Facilities thing has been there since last year’s edition IIRC, remember seeing similar complaints in the Youth Academy challenge thread. I also believe it’s linked to the willingness of the chairman to favour youth development from what I read back then but I’m not sure.
  19. 4-4-2… trapping outside with a low block and then counter at high tempo with passes into space being direct? Reminds me a lot of Simeone’s first Atleti side.
  20. Just wanted to let you know that after doing a complete reinstall of the game and downloading your new skin, the bug I had with the attribute bars has been fixed. And since you've introduced numerical attributes in this update I doubt I need to switch to another skin anytime soon. Great update.
  21. Hope you become better soon mate, will hold off on starting a new save until your latest update is out.
  22. Seems to be the case with every player. I do use attribute masking and I have the IGE enabled if that makes a difference. The one I posted was my own player and it is the same with others in my team as well as at other clubs too. This is on the performance hub. And this is on the attributes hub. This is on the player comparison screen comparing the same player to another at my club. The effect persists even in a comparison with another club's player as shown below. I assume by player popup you mean mousing over the information icon that brings up their mini profile like a tool tip? This is what it shows for me on the same player. Let me know if you need any other screenshot from my game!
  23. I did try that based on your suggestion but it hasn’t fixed the issue for me sadly. Not sure what else I can do.
  24. Yes I can. I’ve even reset everything to default and tried and it still remains the same. Is there anything else I can do to help?
