  1. Sampdoria - Assault on Serie B.

So why Sampdoria? Sampdoria have a proud history of four Coppa Italia's, Serie A Title, Italian Super Cup and the Cup Winners Cup all once. I believe that I can bring them back into Serie A and mount a serious challenge on the Europa League places in 2-3 years. During this time I aim to win the Serie B title and secure my spot in Serie A in the second season. The third season will be all or nothing, spending as much as is necessary (and available) to secure my place in the Europa League. As far as transfers go, I have signed Federico Macheda on a season long loan. I am also in the process of signing a right back as I currently only have one. Any suggestions are most welcome - I would like to sign a box-to-box midfielder who could give me the extra spark in my push to secure Serie A status.
  2. Brief History Unione Calcio Sampdoria is an Italian association football club based in Genoa. The club was formed in 1946 from the merger of two existing sports clubs whose roots can be traced back to the 1890s, Sampierdarenese and Andrea Doria. Both the team name and jersey do reflect this, the first being a combination of the former names, the second incorporating the former teams' colours (blue-white and red-black) in a single design. Stadium Information Sampdoria currently compete in the Italian Serie B. The team's colours are blue with white, red and black hoops , hence the nickname blucerchiati. Sampdoria play at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, capacity 36,536,[1] which it shares with Genoa's other club, Genoa Cricket and Football Club. The derby between the two teams is commonly known as the Derby della Lanterna. Competition History Sampdoria have won the scudetto only once in their history, in the 1991 season. The club has also won the Coppa Italia four times (1985, 1988, 1989, and 1994) and one Italian Super Cup. Their biggest European success came when they won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1990. They also reached the European Cup final in 1992 only to lose against the Spanish side FC Barcelona with an 1–0 score after extra time.
  3. Minnows Winning It All

I steered AFC Wimbledon to the FA Cup semi-finals before being beaten 3-2 AET by an above average Ipswich team!
  4. Free players

For any NPower League 1/2 team, the following are incredible for : CM - Andrew Giallombardo or Rob Wolleaston CF - Jamill Adam (34-19) or Martin Reilly (30-15)
  5. FM2012 or MW3?

MW3 sucks! Battlefield 3 can't compare to the joys of FM though!
  6. Dirt pitches

Haha, I'd like to see that! Cars for stands and trolleys for the lines Ron Manager = LEGEND
  7. Matchday Expenses.

A million pounds a month for advertising alone may get you on the side of about 3 buses and a billboard the size of my knuckle. It definitely does all add up.
  8. Started FM12 where I left off with FM11 - AFC Wimbledon. Was just wondering if anyone has any experience on the game of dealing with a few little niggles that I have ... Finding buyers for players I don't need How to lure loanee's in from clubs? And just a general AFC Wimbledon thread
  9. british premier tv money

Interesting reading. Obviously this doesn't include FA/Carling/Champions League/Europa League payouts, i'd wanna see them all combined. Where did you find this??
  10. Free players

Thierry Henry retired in my save after three months out with a broken ankle, only to play in his comeback match and break his leg.
  11. Are you a Spender or a Saver?

I think i'm a bit of both. Being an Arsenal fan (heaven forbid) I adopt the Arsene Wenger way of thinking - respectable wage and transfer fees paid. Saying this, I mainly manage smaller teams, AFC Wimbledon for instance and don't have much cash to spend! I think the maximum i've paid for a player on my AFC Wimbledon save is only £35k, but with wages of £1.4k a week. I've not been blessed with a lot of financial help for obvious reasons, but i wouldn't be spending more than £1.4k on any players wages until i gain promotion
