More disallowed goals than scored ones.

Hello @LingLing
Of course we read feedback from our users. It's a core part of my job, everyday I read the Feedback Thread, I read the Positive/Negative steam reviews, (or any other platform we get reviews) I check other websites such as Twitter & Reddit for sentiment, log Feature Requests posts by our users and so on.
Hello. Is it possible to DM you? I'd like to ask some questions if that is alright.

Hello. Just gonna ask few simple questions here. Please to move this thread where it belongs, but I feel this is a logical place for it.
So my few questions are:
- Have you read any feedback from "Football Manager 2024 Official Feedback Thread" thread? The lack of 'developers' and 'key people' ( sorry mods, but most of you have nothing to do with the game design and you rarely count for anything ) who are there is, honestly, disturbing for me. There's 4.5k comments there, how many of them are positive?
- Have you read your Steam reviews, or you going simply by "Very positive" is good enough? Like, people are using it to troll. This is a picture of a first page of steam reviews.
All 'recommended', but is it really?
As someone who fell in love with the game in 2009, I feel this is the most inconsistent version of Football Manager franchise ( I won't even call it a new game, because it is not. You stopped with the new games long time ago, all you do now is 'reskin' ) and I feel generally scared what Football Manager might look like not in the distant future, but next year.
- How is it possible that some the most important functions ( like recruitment focus ) are so bad? You can have best staff in the world, but it does not matter. Last year I did some experimenting with some basic attributes like 'consistency' and 'important matches', and I came to a conclusion that they don't matter and that was pretty consistent in my testing. Penalty taking, free kick taking, corner taking.. do they even matter in FM24? What does leadership do? Does your team play better when your captain has great 'leadership'? Or is it simply their only duty to complain at you when a) you ask them to do something b) be an ambassador for the dumbest thing I've ever seen in Football Manager, like your top division team plays against almost amateurs, get a scrappy wins on penalties and then you say " we need to do better against better teams " they get mad and say "cmon, this is a 21st century, you can't talk like that" ( I kid you not).
Like, seriously, I can type and type and type. Just go to the General Feedback thread and try to address some of the issues, if you even care about your game anymore.

How's this not offside? Like, bloody hell game.
Also, how broken and useless are set pieces? You're not even allowed to put the player you want to do what you want.
So I have here Levi Colwill, who, for whatever reason, is on 'stay back' even though he's a centreback. Alright, lets change it, but there's no option to do so, why?
So here we have areial threats, and Colwill is 5th total, 4th among starters. Why is Garnacho set to "go forward" by default?
Lets swap them. Colwill is d2, as shown here:
Lets drag him to "box threats". After that, he's switched to "creators", completely ignoring what I did. Even if I did somehow screwed it up, how complicated can this be?
Like it's end of December, this is a new function? Did no one even test this? How greedy do you need to be, adding 'new' stuff no one wants, completely ignoring core of the game, core that is rotten by now, and you still have the nerves to charge 40-50 bucks every year for a sidegraded product? I know some stuff the others don't, but at least if you're not going to make a new game, charge reskinning accordingly. Call your game Football Manager "X" or whatever, and charge for DLC's after that. Release new game when you have something to release, not bad additions like this that make no sense.
I've been alfa/beta tester over 10 years ago, and stuff have never been this bad. You even have 'early access' where you give yourself some tome to iron some bugs, and you still fail. You're failing your fanbase.

Happy Holidays people!
You gave up on FMB?
Speaking of, was preping for my next game with United, and I saw bunch of my players are "unhappy" and they are supporting Marcus Rashford. Alright, fair enough, but why? I clicked on the tooltip and it showed he was unhappy because United are looking there ain't enough quality in GK position, even though my goalkeeper won GK of the Year award. But the worst thing is - I didn't get any popup/message about his concerns. I didn't even have a chance to change his mind
I checked messages 3 times and there's no notice. Loaded save that is saved 3 days before "today" and everything is normal.
Oh, and players telling you about being unhappy about their playing time at the beginning of the August. Like.. that is not normal, is it?

Anyone else noticed really low penalty numbers? I'm on my 3rd save and I don't remember having more than 3 pens per season.

Are you saying that's too much or too little?
I'd argue that it needs to be higher.

So I'm messing around in one save and I'm playing one of the top teams and I see this player ( who I won't name yet ) and I go to check his injury history and his injury proneness
What do you think his injury proneness is?
SpoilerPlayer is Reece James and he has 5 for it

I'm pretty sure the path has to be in quotation mark so "E:\Sports Interactive"
Yeah, that was it. Thank you very much, it's working now.

Hello,
I'm having some issues with changing the path of my default FM23 folder. As far as I know, there are 2 ways of doing it, trough Steam and in-game preferences.
When I change it in game, like this:
Nothing happens. It's still using my old path which is on C: partition. Same thing is with the Steam:
It worked normally on previous FMs, but not on FM23. Usually I would just use normal path for all SI files, but the issue is with custom logos/pics, because of Microsoft uploader and constant spamming of the message that I'm out of the could save space.

Anyone else experienced the date of International friendlies overlapping with Champions League final? It's mildly annoying having 5-6 players missing because of some meaningless friendly.

A slight bump.

@nully29Thanks for responding, but that's really not the point.

Your CDl is going to pick up ops RW and your CD is going to pick up that Pellegrini dude. So your CDr has to mark ops ST. And no one is left to cover ops LW since both of your wingbacks are behind ops wingers, and your DM(?) is behind Pellegrini. So ops are going 4on3 on your CDs
But they are not picking them up. Last spoiler contains screenshots that show that.
First one: 3 players around Bernardo. Why?
Second: Central defender closest to my GK is Fofana. If you take a look at the next 2 screenshots, he's the furthest defender of my backline. I have 7 players defending and they have 5 attacking. So players should be able to mark them comfortably? They were all marking their man properly, until Almada got the ball. Then my central of 3 CDs went to close down Almada, player who in previous screenshot lost Almada was following his player, while Fofana should be able to cover player in the middle? But he decided to let him go to cover player who already was being covered by DM. And my LWB was jogging watching the action from 5 meter apart instead of helping?
I'm trying to understand how marking works so I can adjust.

Alright, this is helpful in my understanding how marking works in FM. So if I understand correctly, each players has a zone he marks, and man marking will only trigger if a player enters that zone? If this is true, this would explain a lot.
My marking ghosts - take a look at the 2ndscreenshot. Two of my 3CDs are not marking anyone. Why is my CDr marking a striker instead of a CD allowing CDr to move down and close their player on the wing?
LOE is doing what I'm asking of it, its triggering correctly as far as I can tell. Its high for both lines. Is wide center back bad for covering wide area? My defensive width is set to standard so they should be spread, right? Even in attacking my width is "fairly wide".

Thank you for responding. I have a few questions based on it.
1) Players marking ghosts as presented in those pictures is perfectly normal?
2) Tight marking is actually zonal marking? The tooltip on "Tight marking" reads
3) Any tips how can I achieve for players to be more active on defensive end ( roles, instructions etc.) bar the "mark specific player"?

Hello. Long time no posting here. Sorry if there's something like this, feel free to point me into the right direction.
So, my question is - how viable is man marking in FM22? Even more, is marking a thing anymore? I mostly sim games so I do not watch, but now I've decided to take a look at the Champions League game against my team HSV and Roma. And I've noticed some funny things.
Formation is:
SpoilerAnd I've noticed the lack of marking. even though players have TI "Use tighter marking".(please ignore players inability in CD and AM positions, I made a substitution after the goal and I changed the formation) Example:
SpoilerSo 3 CDs and 2 of them are marking no one. Even the middle one, who's on "stopper" duty is walking backwards and not attacking the ball carrier ( am I mistaking what CD - Stopper should be doing?), but that's not the point. When I saw that, I asked myself, what is the point of playing with 3CDs when 2 of them are doing nothing? So I switched to 2 at the back, classing 4-1-2-1-2. And again, the same thing happens:
SpoilerFofana is CDR and he's marking a striker. The guy standing in front of Tsimikas is my RB and the player who's marking their player on the byline is Camavinga. So what are my other CD doing along with my other CM?
I'm posting this as I play, This is another headscratcher for me. Roma has a free kick. Look at the marking ( everything is set on default when it comes to set pieces).
SpoilerLenget is unmarked, as are two Roma players in the far post. While 4 players are marking 2 players in front of the goalkeeper. Ball goes to Lenget who shoots, my GK makes a save, but the ball falls to unmarked player on the far post.
I can seemingly go on and on, so I'll put all the other screenshots into one big spoiler:
SpoilerAny thoughts?

Hi! Sorry if there's another similar thread, if so, can you redirect me there? If not, anyone else noticed this?
So in my save most of my players are struggling to connect with someone. Last season 4 or 5 players failed to connect with my winger and I had to sell him ( well I did not, but I wanted to see the difference) and when I did, they just switched to another player. Its not just player bound, I've seen it with clubs AI controls as well.
Is there something with it, maybe abnormal number of "not getting along" issues? Or maybe players need more time to gel in FM20 than in previous versions? Here are some screenshots:
