  1. The average rating in the bottom appearance box, It doesn't show the complete line. Windowed mode v
  2. How did Salah/Mane do for you from the wide positions? I've had the on IF/S with a Complete Forward/s or a Pressing Forward/a but Mane only just made double figures, and Salah about 13. When I changed them to IF/A they didn't seem to get to involved in the game.
  3. Just bought on Voidu. Uk Based. £23.25 with BLUEWINTER discount code. Steam key was immediate, redeemed all ok. Just waiting for the Beta unlock/release
  4. To many attacking midfielders vacating the middle = Kane coming deep Also means we can't play from the back, as our only midfielder is marked our pressed
  5. I'm happy with what we've achieved. I think Southgate only needs minor changes to a system that isn't quite good enough yet... Our biggest problem is midfield. We have 1 midfielder, and 3 AMs running away from the ball. Kane then drops deep to fill that gap. 3 is too many.... It also hinders our ability to play out the back as Henderson is our only choice for our defence to play to, and he can be marked or outnumbered, so we have to go long We needed another man in the middle last night, so the formation becomes a more natural 343. Ideally you want that to be Henderson and a player that is happy playing the ball in tight positions, playing the ball forward and being sensible enough to offer numbers in the middle. Not Dier and Henderson. But Henderson/Dier + Another. Then we choose which 2 players (Lingard, Sterling) to play behind/with Kane.
  6. In fact, I think it should be a cracking 3-3 draw tonight. There's no way this is going to be 0-0 with those lineups.
  7. Belgium to line up in a 3 6 1 formation with no wide defenders?! T Hazard and Chadli as wingbacks?
  8. Nothing wrong with the line up. Excluding Kane its not massively weaker, but we now have more pace up front.. We're a squad full of similar abilities.
  9. This. I'd be well annoyed if my manager told me to lose, shows no belief you can beat any team to become World Champions...
  10. Also, how do the players understand that. Let England in. 'Yo, KOMPANY, HERE!' 'Let Vardy past you if he gets in' 'If you get chance to make a tackle, dive out of it' Or is it all a deliberate ruse to make us comfy and then to smash us!?
  11. WTF? I missed that. Even if you don't say it to your team it can't do wonders. LADS, lose this one because you can't beat Brazil or France in the quarters. It's pretty pathetic and that's my concern, I wouldn't lose for my 5aside team if someone told me we would get a slightly easier tie in the next round... MADNESS
  12. I genuinely get your reasoning, and part of me likes it. But I don't know how you train that into the players. I would just play to win, and whatever will be will be. Cheers for the food for thought tho (Y)
  13. 3 - 3 draw. Shirt off to celebrate, booking every time
  14. Ok, I actually like your explanation, and I can only counter it with the simple fact that I don't believe you should try to lose a game of football. Columbia are definitely the team I fear the most but if we can't beat them then we aren't good enough to win it. I think we are more than capable of beating Columbia, more so that a Germany, Spain or Brazil but you play whoever you play, and I wouldn't want to try and manipulate that.
  15. Does anyone actually think we should lose? Apart from all the clickbait journalism, does anyone actually think we should lose? MADNESS?!
  16. I also don't think England want to lose. That's madness. What mentality does that say we have. Also shows massive arrogance. I presume Belgium are the same. The reason its a massive discussion is that we have nothing else to talk about before the game, because there is no pressure, so lets go slightly overboard with the 'PERMUTATIONS' discussion
  17. Rashford and Vardy providing pace, and if they can run into the channels where the wing-backs have vacated and draw there more pedestrian centre halves out we could create some decent chances. Extra man in midfield means one (RLC) can bomb forward a little more too on the counter... Go for the win!
  18. Too right! Columbia are a team who could do us over, esp on the counter. Win games, simple!
  19. I genuinely don't think that rotating our team makes us massively weaker! It's not like we're replacing Rooney with Vassell or bringing on Trevor Sinclair for Paul Scholes. Dier for Henderson. Rashford for Sterling. Cahill for Maguire. Rose for Young. Trent for Trippier doesn't make us obviously weaker. However, I get what you're saying about momentum, but the squad has momentum, there is great morale and making some (not wholesale) changes will make a positive change to the squad dynamic, while I can't see us losing much in the way of momentum. I think we should aim to win Vs Belgium, and I also think rotating will enable us to win. Don't care who we face later. Its coming home either way!
  20. Regarding my point on defence. I honestly think we're fine defending, but our 'scramble' defence when a team breaks after a period of England possesion/attack is pretty poor. If we have to keep shape to defend I think we can do it pretty well. Two 0-0 draws in the autumn vs Germany and Brazil when we started trialing this system point to as much.
  21. Win. Don't worry about the permutations. We need to ensure we don't take passage to the QFs for granted. But we could slip up against the likes of Sweden and Switzerland as much as we could pull a victory out the bag against Brazil. I think the way King Gareth sets up will enable us to counter proper attacking teams, rather than us dominating against weaker teams and us looking vulnerable on the break. You have to win games. You have to beat the best at some point. Anyway, how do you choose to lose?! I really don't think England have a weaker team either, Kane exlcluded, in all positions it's very much like for like so rotating isn't a big deal, but recovery is.
  22. It doesn't matter! Jump on our train of glory! Its Coming Home!
  23. Wasn't a fan of VAR but I actually like it more now. The best thing is the pushing in the box, it's creating a bit of a farce at the moment, but the outcome is totally correct. Fouls from corners/free kicks have been a shambles for ages. What VAR will hopefully do is train players not to break the rules. So no more pushing, no more diving etc. As players learn what they can and can't get away with they will eventually stop doing what they shouldn't and VAR will be used a lot less.... That's what I'm taking from it anyway
