So they killed center play again to fix long balls.

Now everything is out wide with out swinging passes, can't have that pesky chipped through ball through the center.

Headers, long shots, corners are where my goals are coming from. If you want to play any football that promotes center play, you best forget about it.

This thing is so broken , they are essentially breaking entire patterns of play so the bugs are not exposed.

    Back to FM17/18 for me.

Have been critical of the last couple of FMs for a lack of movement/central play/creative and poor finishing but around 10 games into the latest update, am finding this to be the most enjoyable ME since at least FM18. The reliance on set-pieces for goals seems to have ended (an issue that was completely ruining the game, IMO), my creative central players are racking up 100+ passes per game and the variety of play/build is infinitely better. Still find that my creative midfielders perhaps score more goals from range than they should and perhaps don't deliver quite enough direct assists (though watching my goals, they seem to be playing the 'pre-assist' pass; arguably more realistic?).

    Pure gold this forum. :D

  2. I added the spanish league in my save before my 5th season and I noticed a lot of players from spanish teams I never ever heard of have brilliant stats. And I'm not talking about newgens but real players presumably from spanish teams reserve squads who developed brilliantly. For example I bought a guy Martin Calderon from Castilla which is Real Madrid's B team and he , according to my scouts, is a world class player. I got him for 13mil. And then I noticed at least 6,7 more players, still in reserve squads, all are around 23,24 year olds with amazing attributes.

So there is some kind of weird situtation in which a lot of reserve team players have developed to 4,5 star players and their clubs are still keeping them in reserve teams which is just crazy.

  3. There is something very weird with AI logic considering transfers. I'll give you my example. So, 3rd season, I just took over FC Basel. I have a striker Arthur Cabral who scored 14 and 16 league goals in the first 2 seasons and his value is 9.75 mil.

There comes transfer offers from RB Leipzieg, BVB and Atletico Madrid and I am refusing them and the player is not interested in leaving, so final offers come in with around 45mil euros worth with bonuses from all 3 clubs. I refuse them all and I am thinking..I'll keep the guy for a season and maybe he will be worth even more if he has a good season. In January I refuse two more offers of 40 mil, and he has scored at the time around 25 goals.

So I finish the season with a title ((record wins, points), Cabral scored 43 in 46 in all competitions. He scored 32 league goals(swiss all time record in a season), he had 12 MOM awards(swiss record). We went to the Euro CUp2 final.

And now, no one is interested in him. I've had one offer from Wolfsburg of 12 mil! And to make matters even more illogical, his value is still the same as it was before he had a season of his life, winning second place in the best europe scorers for the season.

And he started the 3rd season with 5 goals in 7 games.

    Any logic behind this please?

  4. I was given 4.5 mil transfer budget at the start of the 2nd season after promotion. Sold some players and had 9.5mil budget for players and also board decided to upgrade youth facilities for 8.5mil.

I think 4.5mil transfer budget for newly promoted side in the Swiss league is quite ok budget to be honest.

I bought and loaned in almost entire new first 11 for the 2nd season. Loaned Chong, Garner and Levitt from ManUtd. Bought Martins from Young Boys for 4mil, Pusic from Grashoppers for 950k, Blas Riveros from Basel for 2mil, Jan Kronig from Young Boys for 250k, Patrick Burner from Nice on free, Ignace van der Brempt from Brugge for 2.5mil and Benjamin Uphoff from Karlsruher for 150k.

  5. Welcome to the FC Lausanne-Sport thread

    Club Details

    Status: Professional

    Reputation: National

    Nickname: Les bleu et blanc

    Founded: 1896

    Owners: Ineos (private limited company)

Stadium: Olympique de la Pontaise (due to move to Stade de la Tuliere /12000 all seater/ for the start of 20/21 season)

    Capacity: 15 850

FC Lausanne-Sport is a Swiss football club based in Lausanne in the canton of Vaud. Founded in 1896, it plays in the Swiss Challenge League, the second highest league in the country. The team has won seven league titles and the Swiss Cup nine times.

On 13 November 2017, the club was acquired by Ineos, a Swiss-based British petrochemicals company owned by Jim Ratcliffe, the nation's wealthiest person. (yes, a sugar daddy!)

    Team:

    Goalkeepers:

Thomas Castella – best keeper in the club. Will be your first choice keeper for the season.

Mory Diaw – Reserve keeper at best. Not very good.

Dany Da Silva – Third choice keeper.

*overall Castella can get you through the season but you should look to upgrade the position ASAP, especially if promoted to the SuperLeague

    Defenders:

Elton Monteiro – capable centre back, should be a first team player

Noah Loosli – one of the best players in the club, first choice

Igor Nganga – reserve centre back with no future at the club beyond the 1st season

Ange Nanizayamo – shouzld be 3rd choice centre back, not really good mentals but can do the job at this level of competition

    Right backs:

Nikola Boranijašević – good player, first option at RB

Sinclair Baddy Dega – not good, young but not really a great prospect for me. Should look to upgrade ASAP

    Left backs:

Per Egil Flo – first choice left back, one of the club's better players

Nicolas Getaz – capable cover for the position

*overall you have two good centre backs in Loosli and Monteiro, Nanizayamo can cover in the 1st season, I would look to bring another good CB at the end of the season or even in the winter transfer window. Right back is a top priority because you only have Boranijašević and his cover is not good enough. Left back position is good with Flo and Getaz.

    Midfielders:

Stjepan Kukuruzovic – great midfielder, can play both DM and CM positions, playmaker but can be used in other roles as well. First choice midfielder.

Joel Geissmann – Another good CM who can play B2B or even more offensive role.

Maxime Dominguez – Good offensive minded playmaker most comfortable in AMC position but can also do the job from MC position.

Cameron Puertas – Depending on your system, you can use him as a B2B midfielder, he is very young and will improve. My opinion is he should be your starter if using three man midfield.

Gabriel Bares – young DM who is best used as a DLP and has good potential. Should be given game time in the 1st season to improve.

Cabral – Your typicall BWM or DM. I'd say not good enough beyond the 1st season and since he is in his 30's you shouldn't be playing him and reducing minutes to your younger prospects. Sell him.

Alexandre Pasche – CM who can do a few roles but ulitmaltely not good enough. Should be sold.

*overall your centre of midfield is very good, with Kukuruzovic, Geissmann,Dominguez,Puertas and Bares you have different options depending on the set up. Don't need any investement there for the 1st season

    Wingers:

Joao Oliveira – great natural inverted winger and one of your best players. First team choice.

Josias Lukembila – another quick IW/W, useful player and could improve.

Christian Schneuwly – one of your older players at 31, but still should be a first choice right winger.

Isaac Schmidt – speed merchant, good cover for the right wing and could improve.

Sancidino Silva – another good winger, could be your first choice although I decided for Oliveira/Schneuwly combo but Silva can do a job for you if you desire.

*overall your wing positions are packed and good quality. Don't need to invest in the 1st season.

    Strikers:

Andi Zeqiri – The best prospect at the club and will develop to be your best players if you give him time. Play him as a starter.

Aldin Turkes – Another quality striker but is a target man so if you don't like to use TM maybe should look to sell.

Anthony Koura – Amazing physicals for the level of competition, great back up.

*overall you have three grat strikers and don't need any investment.

FC Lausanne is a nice challenge, starting in the 2nd tier of the Swiss league system. You get a nice squad that is more than capable of challenging for the promotion spot which is your minimum requirement. Given the players you have, promotion should be achieved.

Also, the club has a foreground sugar daddy which will make your time at a club quite interesting. Starting balance is 4.5mil but after a month or so in game you will be injected with 14mil more. So you can upgrade your team immidiately if you play with enabled 1st transfer window. I am not so I will have to wait until January to go shop for talent.

Hope you enjoy the save if you choose Lausanne!

  6. I didn't manage to get Mbappe. Offered 220mil but all I got in response is "the offer is unacceptable". :D

So, I brought in only Bruno Fernandes for 46mil which I think is a bargain price for such a quality player. Managed to sell Chong,Jones,Pereira,Fosu Mensah for combined 55mil. Also I got rid of Sanchez who I gave for free to Fenerbahce but I'm still paying half his wages though. I've sent Laird.Williams, Levitt, Mejbri and Omeragic(young CB I brought from Zurich for 12mil) all on loan.

Now my 1st team squad looks like this:

    2nd choice squad:

Also part of the squad are Russo(GK), Angel Gomes and James Garner

  7. We lost our CL semis against PSG. 1-0 in Paris and then managed only a 1-1 draw at OT. We were better, I felt we deserved a win at least. The finish to the PL season was a little nightmare, losing against West Brom, scraped a win against Brighton and then fineshed it off with a deafeat at Southampton. It was only a continuation of our ****** form since March in the league where we managed only 5 wins until the end. Very bad.

I think I will switch from 4231 to 433 as my primary formation next year.

Also we have a budget of 325mil euros to spend. Mbappe is our number one target. Also I'd like a world class CB.

Add on the previous, how is Maddison shaping up, and has anyone looked into Donny Van De Beek? Thee are my two midfield targets, as I don't sign in the first season. However, in Maddison's case, he looks very similar to last year, and I may find myself better off going for Havertz.

Maddison is very good for me.

Brought in Sancho, took a few games for him to adapt but now he started to be great signing.

Liverpool run away with the title,it's back to back titles for them. We were in title race with 4 points behind them and going at OT against them in week 29. I opted to go with my started offensive system instead of more cautious one I use in europe amd tough away games and they blasted us 3-0. We never recovered after that and went on a 4 game winless streak in the league.

In CL we managed to go through Monaco and then in the QF against Barcelona we produced our finest game of the season, overturning 2-1 deficit from Nou Camp with a massive 5-1 victory at OT.

It's PSG in the semi final now, first leg to be played in Paris.

Top 4 is secured so we can rest our first team and focus on CL. It will be tough but we have a chance I hope.

I feel the rebuild is over now,we have a young team full of quality so next transfer window we will only go for one superstar player if there will be one available.

Penalties, direct free-kicks, taps in after a wide player's had a shot saved?

Idk man..I don't keep track. He ddid score a couple of pens for sure. But my 2nd scorer is Pogba and 3rd is Maddison. One is MC and other is AMC. So that's 3 top scorers all play through the middle. I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just saying my centre players are scoring goals.
