  1. Also playing a Southampton game here. I decided not to make any transfers and to see what I could do starting with the existing squad given its potential with the likes of Clyne, Shaw, JWP, Wanyama, Ramirez etc. I was flying high halfway through the season in and around the top spot then the update to 14.2 caused a blip in form. I signed Eric Dier in January though hardly gave him a game choosing instead to bed Jack Stephens in to the team alongside Lovren. Osvaldo and Lambert both had been banging the goals in for the first half of my season but with the change in formation I also began to play Jay Rodriguez whose goals led us to the title in which was a very weird season with my team fighting it out with Newcastle for the title and Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool finishing 8th, 9th and 10th. James Ward Prowse was my star man with 12 goals and 15 assists and already being capped by England. With a war chest of around 35 million for season 2 and many top players now interested in signing for our side I am undecided how to continue as I do not want to sign too many players and keen to keep as much of the existing squad together as I can. The obvious improvements should be in goals with Boruc getting on, being quite erratic and on a big contract but Gazzaniga played my last 10 or so games and was the man in between the sticks as we picked up the title. Defence wise I think we need a top class defender to play alongside Lovren and I am considering bring in another attacker to replace Osvaldo (if I can sell him) as whilst he gave a good goal return I don't feel he adds enough to the team and given his 70k a week salary I think now is possibly the best time to get a return on our investment in him and get a quality attacker in (particularly with Lamberts stats dropping already)
  2. Finished my first season with Wigan. I Started the season off with only two new faces in signings Lacina Traore and Sigurdsson. January time seen us in a good top half position but whilst the magic of the two new signings in attack were on fire an inconsistent Hugo Rodallega had only 18 months remaining on his contract so I took the best offer I could for him and shipped him off to Lyon for 7.5 million. David Goodwillie arrived from Blackburn to play alongside fellow Scots Gary Caldwell and James McArthur and also proved to be a great signing with a decent goals/assists return. January also seen the arrival of Danny Simpson for a bargain 400k. The end to the season seen my team finish 7th. Whilst the front 3 of Goodwillie, Traore and Sigurdsson has seen Wigan play some fantastic football the team concedes bucketloads so priority for season 2 will be to bring in a defender or two and possibly a back up or replacement keeper for Al-Habsi as I have decided against renewing Chris Kirklands contract. June will also see the arrival of Scott Brown on a bosman so its looking likely that one of David Jones or Ben Watson may have to move on also with James McCarthy and James McArthur first choice CMs alongside the solid Diame. As you can see once again that man Lacina Traore has been a goal (and assists) machine for my team. Ending the season as joint top goal scorer and also player of the year.
  3. Lacina Traore - Striker http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/283045-FM12-Lacina-Traore?p=7236412#post7236412
  4. Finally got round to finishing my first full season since getting FM2012. Once again I started with signing that man Lacina Traore and once again he produced the good helping us to a 2nd place finish in the league. Also had a semi defeat in the Carling Cup and a defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
  5. Name: Lacina Traore Age: 21 Nationality: Ivory Coast Club: Kuban Position: ST Value: £2.9 million Sale Value: £9.5 million Work Permit Needed?: yes on appeal Lacina Traore - Goal Machine! (Wilfried also has been banging them in for me!)
  6. Finally got round to playing the demo and my Newcastle team has taken the Premier League by storm. Sitting 2nd in the league mainly thanks to my newly signed Ivorian strike force in Wilfried and my FM2011 favourite Lacina Traore. I sold Jonas, Shola, Best, Lovenkrands and Harper bringing in the two Ivorians along with Andy King, Wayne Bridge on loan and Gyfli Sigurdsson.
