  1. I just finished the 2028 season in my Notts County save and Arsenal had one of the most bizarre seasons I have ever seen. Arsenal managed to be relegated while still winning the Europa League, so they have managed to secure both Championship & Champions League football for next season. I figured I'd share the save file here incase anyone wanted to take on this challenge. http://www.mediafire.com/file/u94oqlbl8btocmz/Arsenal_Relegated_%2B_CL_-_2028.fm/file
  2. It was possible in FM19 to have the C team get promoted, if you had an edited database, but only if the B team was also promoted or already promoted. It was buggy though, and I had to remove the 4th division as a playable division after that season because of crash dumps. It worked fine for be after that however, with the B team in the 2nd division and the C team in the 3rd division. I think I submitted a bug about it, so who knows if it has been fixed or changed for FM20.
  3. Halfway through my 3rd season and the first regen I've brought into the first team has won European Golden Boy! Really excited for him to develop further.
  4. That's exciting for sure. One thing I've ended up doing a few different times over the years with Athletic saves is moving wide midfielders or wingers back to fullback. If any of the wingers come through with 8s/9s in marking or tackling I'd consider training them to be attacking fullbacks. One of the best players on my save in FM19 was a wingback who came through the youth intake with no experience at the position. He grew to have defensive attributes around 11/12, which was ok considering he was elite going forward.
  5. I am into my third season as well. Year 2 we finished on 91 pts, but a long way off of Madrid and Barca who finished on 99 & 104 a piece. Villalibre massively stepped up in year 2, scoring 33 league goals, winning league player of the year, and European Golden Boot. I had a really tough decision to make after that sort of crazy season. His attributes are good, but it felt like he scored based on the system, more than his own ability. PSG came in and offered over $50M for Villalibre, potentially up to $66M, so I had to pull the trigger and move him on. Making that sale enabled u
  6. One new player I wanted to point out as a transfer option is Jon Moncayola from Osasuna. For my second season, I missed out on bringing in Ruben Pardo, so I eventually brought Moncayola in to be a backup, with some potential to improve. But, once he got into my team he has been the linchpin that makes everything else work. Average attributes, but pretty good in the right places with the perfect PPMs for what I want from a DLP in my tactic.
  7. It seems to be broken either way. I finished in Champions League places after first season, but that didnt stop 4 players from being upset about wanting to play in the Champions League. They all got over it pretty quickly, most before the end of the transfer window. With the top guys all being on long-term contracts you might as well wait them out.
  8. I didn’t move on from de Marcos until 2021 and at that point I got very little for him as he started to decline quite a lot. I’d likely take that offer since it won’t likely be there in 6 months. One RB to look at is Martin Aguirregabiria from Alaves. I think he is a guy who was buffed with recent patches. $13M release clause, not up to Odriozola’s level, but a lot better than the other basque RB options.
  9. I asked this in another thread but didnt get any response. In the pre-game editor, can you add a "transfer policy" to a club, similar to the restrictions that Chivas and Athletic have to only sign Mexican and Basque players?
  10. When talking to people in the past I would make the suggestion to increasing PA for every player significantly, but making reaching that PA incredibly difficult. Ofcourse players have an upper limit on their ability, but i would argue that limit is too low in FM and leads to a very linear pattern of development. You know from the first time you see a player how good they could possibly be, regardless of what actually happens in game. you dont have players moving up the ranks in the middle or towards the end of their careers. players develop into the players they can be based on their PA, they
  11. I'll piggy back on this as I am having a similar issue. Game has become very slow clicking into different screens, emails, etc. Doing that sort of thing had been almost instant earlier on this version and on older fms. With the most recent update it takes 3-5 seconds to advance to the next email if i press space. Deleted the cache, revrified the cache, and deleted the preferences, as suggested, with no improvement. I have only tried playing in windowed mode, as that is how I always play the game.
  12. where is this option? i didnt see it under national rules or advanced rules.
  13. Hi, I've been messing around with a database that moves all of the Scandinavian teams into the same pyramid, while retaining their own continental qualifying places. So, the top 4 teams from Norway will qualifying for Europe, top for from Sweden, Denmark, so on, based on how they finish in the league tables. It is working, somewhat. It is based in Denmark and teams from Denmark are qualifying correctly. Teams from Norway and Sweden are qualifying as well, but they arent qualifying during the correct season. Meaning the top 4 Norwegian teams for 2014-2015 arent qualifying for Europe during 2015
  14. to me, it would seem that potential ability for all players is too low, and reaching the height of potential is too easy. How many players in fm reach their full pa? People say it is rare, but to me in the real world only one percent of the one percent of players ever reach their max potential. If I'm in game searching for regens, im looking for the 5* guys, that is usually it. I argue that there should be a ton more guys rated with 4-5* potential, but only a fraction of those guys ever reach their max potential, based on a number of factors. It is just too easy now to look at a 15 year old an
  15. Watching FM on twitch is fun. Maybe I'm different, but I never just sit down and play FM. I listen to music, watch tv or youtube, whatever. I like watching people like workthespace streaming on twitch, i put it on in the background when I play. Good tunes, good commentary. It is a good time.
