I tried with overrides, flexible and fixed rules. No luck.

Maybe its something related to new system and new qualification system. Who knows how settings should be set.

Yeah, there's quite a bit there. I have no idea what the entire page is for lol. Thanks for taking the time to look into it anyway, much appreciated

  2. Regarding the Seedings panel, I set the stage flags in the General section of the competition and I've never had this problem in previous years. However for FM21 the panel displaying qualified teams and their seeding in the competition just won't show up.

This seems to be for continental competitions only, as I've seen other files for FM21 where international competitions were able to display the panel.

Also for a number of years now I've noticed that for custom continental competitions, the Nation Club Coefficients page isn't available in the World menu under Europe > International. I'm not sure if this is a bug, by design, or simply a case of not applying the correct settings in the editor. Any chance of some clarity on this issue?

  4. I decided to look into this again to see if there is any possible way to have coefficients update over time (or actually be included in the game for that matter).

I noticed that in the Other Stage Rules > Continental Cup Rules section there is a checkbox for "Continental Cup Ranking Points" and I applied 2.000 points for a win and 1.000 point for a draw in each round of each competition, but this didn't work when I ran an in-game test. I do seem to vaguely remember coefficients showing up when I tried a competition listed under Flexible Format Rules a few years back though. I've tried applying that setting to my current file I'm working on, but because it's adding more teams to the competitions in the background I can't get it to verify.

Has anyone seen anything in the editor at all that would indicate the possibility for coefficients to be included with custom competitions under Fixed Format?

  5. I had similar problems with the competition last year. Try adding individual rules for each competition (Get Last Winner/Runner-Up). Alternatively try spacing out your season update and setup days, as I found this worked for me on the odd occasion.

EDIT: Ran a few tests and I think one of the problems may be that some of the competitions in your team pools aren't finishing in time for the season update day or setup day. I tried changing the dates around but the problem is still there. For example I noticed that the North American and Oceania Champions League aren't registering a winner for 2020. Something worth looking into

Unfortunately that doesn't work. I don't have any squad selection dates enabled.

I've had a quick look at the file and the only thing I've managed to do is get the date to change by adding a squad selection deadline date under Fixture Rules 2. That was pretty much useless though. I have no idea what is causing the problem. Have you tried undoing the changes you made in regards to getting qualified teams for cups and gradually adding the rules back one at a time? That way you might be able to pinpoint the exact cause.

I just change the dates from the original from 9/6 to 25/6 but they don't change in game, when the January transfer window gets the change (from 2/1 to 1/1). Other nations (that don't have the know validation problem) get the change I make them. And I am afraid to just delete everything cause of all those different parameters in the English pyramid.

If you upload the file I'll take a look at it for you

For some reason a similar error pops up in FM20 for me now as well. Hadn't seen it before.

The solution for me is actually quite easy....

You delete the competition that is giving the error. You verify the file. Then you restore the deleted competition. At that moment you DON'T need to verify the competition anymore and everything works.

I tried doing that but had to save the file to test/verify it and I wasn't able to undo the removal of the competition. I'm guessing I followed the process wrong though lol. Didn't you mention something about loading the database back up with changes applied in another post?

  9. I had the same problem guys. In advanced rules you need to go to Ranking Rules > Ranking Level Info and make sure to give the teams eliminated from the opening round a ranking.

For example in my file I had 32 teams in the opening round, and the 16 winners of that round had a ranking of 9. The losers are ranked 10 with "No Information" under "Type". However I had the number of teams set at 0 instead of 16 which was why I had the error popping up. It wasn't an issue last year but it is in the FM21 editor.

@Bryanquaye15 Looking at the error you're getting you'd need to either add a row containing 3 losing teams, or if you have one already for them change the number of teams from 0 to 3.

    Hope this helps

  10. @Wolf_pd @Xavier Lukhas I figured out what the problem was. The Ranking Level Info had 0 teams in the first round. For some reason it still verified with that setting in FM20.

Now I've got the Bulgarian First League problem with 1 team relegated and 2 promoted with 0 extra teams requested. It's telling me to make sure the league is set to flexible rules but I don't think I can do that. Still won't verify.

Check if you don't have missing rules/modifications due to importing. I had that issue.

Alternatively, I heavily suggest exporting the files to .xml and comparing the differences in any decent text editor that has such a function. I use VSCode, but there are other less fancy (and heavy) options. Here's an example: every difference sticks out like a sore thumb and can be spotted using the sidebar.

Thanks. I'll have a look and see what I can find
