  1. DoF is up there with the most pointless staffing roles in the game.
  2. No idea what you are playing bud but this latest version of FM is probably the fastest in a long time.
  3. Why set it up then delegate after? Just continue being in control of it.
  4. Praise conduct whenever a player who is behaving as standard, ie no issues, and needs a little boost of their morale if you can't praise them for form or training. Never criticise conduct. Bad behaved players won't react well anyway and just adds fuel to the fire.
  5. Yup, I tried that route only to have players with 90% or less condition on match day vs 95%+ by not having it the day before. Just my own experience. Great during the week, not before game day imo. I'm not saying Max's trials is now the bible for training methods but he did show alot of good evidence that I've now adopted into my own training schedules as I've said before.
  6. I'd be wary of using a match practice the day before a match, it will affect a players overall condition right before a match. I only use it during the week if there is no match during the week. I've always kept the match preview. The double recovery is only on 2 match weeks.
  7. Very successful with slight changes here and there depending on the matches etc. Players improving much better, far better training ratings, no complaints, barely any training injuries. The intensity/rest does need lowered from double to normal during the season. The recovery for no match weeks is to manage the players injury risk, it doesnt have to specifically be just after a match, and nothing more. It's a spare slot so why not? Also most of my players are away on international duty during this time so only about 8-10 players will be doing this training week. The double extra-curricular is moral boosting for the squad and for your supports confidence. As I said, you've got spaces so use them for something other than the training sessions that don't work. Edit - I will add that I remove the match reviews once the tactic is fully familiarised. It is replaced by a rest session as full familiarity with a tactic after tinkering the first few games comes during the double game weeks so to help with fatigue.
  8. Add Demand More when drawing in the 2nd half if it's a game you should be winning. Other than that its spot on. Don't praise more than twice per match. Leads to complacency.
  9. Manager AI. Guardiola, Conte and Ancelotti are as tactically astute as Sam Allardyce and pretty much zero squad management.
  10. Half a season of changing my training to what I previously posted. Players developing far better, players far happier, vast majority have 8.0 or above training rating every week. No drop off in match performances. Changed player roles etc during weeks but players picked familiarity alot quicker. Only small amount of injuries coming from matches. No injuries in training. Honestly big game changer. Not looking back at all. Those at SI need to have a look at this properly if they want those defunct training slots back in rotation.
  11. The stuff that doesn't matter like press conferences. Don't hand over a single thing that does matter like training, contracts, team talks, scouting.
  12. Get rid of ongoing and put a time limit of a couple months. See how that goes.
  13. I've gone with these schedules now. Played through 4 weeks worth and the progress of the players has went far, far better than any other training schedule I've done before. Only slight issue has been the condition on match days which has been in the 90% range but its manageable. Might look at tweeking if it becomes too much of an issue.
  14. Hmm I do think the set pieces do have a slight benefit, especially if you have created set pieces yourself. Also penalties is just a must with a cup final Looks good though I'd be wary of having double match practice in one week. Also Max did have double intensity for 4 of the 5 rest options which is a bit much but he did not have any matches to play, just purely training. Mines are usually half then 3 normal then double. Thirdly, maybe an extra recovery in your schedule wouldn't go amiss. Will help your injury risks immensely.
  15. 100% agree. Seems to be as soon as they turn 18 or are playing with the 1st team they start coming up on scouting reports. Until then you can always manually ask thek scout to scout specific u18 teams in that country that have good youth facilities. Even scouting youth competitions will mostly draw up blanks in your own nation.
  16. I'm actually finding that giving each scout a time limit of a month, 2 months, 6 months etc gives me far better results than ongoing. This is with prior knowledge of the country, language etc. Theres something buggy with ongoing for me. Until finished still works ok if the scout needs to learn the country.
  17. When face ID number 2 I think (the old guy with the moustache) is no longer required there will be a day of mourning in my household.
  18. Love how this guy shows up how the game actually works. Will be adjusting my training from now on to get the best results. Bye bye match tactics, preview and teamwork.
  19. Continue game timeout to 2 seconds Ignore staff Ignore media pressers Get a 2nd or 3rd opinion on scouts recommendations.
  20. £50m. With Rangers. Anything more and I'm breaking my own rules.
