  1. Same problem here !... Tried to delete the cache and preferences and reinstalled the game twice !... The problem is still there !... What to do ?...
  2. For sure players performances depend on their attributes, physical conditions and morales but what else does impact them ? I'm wondering if recent performances impact next one ? Are there good/bad form streaks ? If a player received good ratings in the last 5 games is he more likely to play well in the next one ? Also, is there a link with between their match and training performances ? Are they more likely to perform well if they have good training ratings ?
  3. I would like to have the option to tell my players to cut the passing lines to a certain opposing player like Liverpool did yesterday with Messi. It was clear that they always tried to have at minimum one player between the ball holder and Messi to avoid him to get the ball and do its magic. Actually, in FM19 you can man mark or press but you can't do something like that.
  4. While watching a match on the pitch screen, it would be really useful it the opposition instructions icons could be added on the formation widget. It would even be better if we could change those instructions from here !
  5. Even if I really like the idea of those briefings I don't understand what they do now ?! For me, they should work as the match preparation did in previous versions. That means, if I understood it correctly, they made little boosts on some tactical aspects. It should be the same with those briefings. If I ask my players to focus on high pressing it could give a boost on attributes that are needed to to do it well. If we ask to be careful of an opposition player, it should be done better than if we don't mention it. Naturally as players can't focus too long , the more information we give the less effective they would be. But, we should be able to tell them to mainly focus on one thing wich would be more impacted.
  6. I just want to know if the pre-game meetings have an impact on how well my team will apply the tactics if I insist on certain aspects or if those meetings only do something to players motivations ?
  7. It would be nice to have an "official" answer by someone who knows because we can only guess !
  8. Now that the training has been revamped and that we have weekly rating on how our players do it, I would like to know what this ratings really mean ? If a player has a good rating, does it mean that he's put a lot of effort into training or that he performed well during it ? Sometimes you can be good without doing your best and sometimes you're doing bad while trying hard ! In fact, I would like to know if it has an impact on players form and how they could perform during their games. If a player has a high training rating, is he more likely to perform well in the next game ? Should we take this into account while we're picking our first eleven ? And, if yes, should we take a player with a good training rating to reward him for his efforts or because he should perform better than if he had bad ratings ? Thanks in advance...
  9. I'm very pleased that the training module has been reworked because, for me, it was probably the weakest part of the game but I still have some interrogations about it: - In the FM show, they say that there will be a weekly report on our players training performances but will our assistants tell us if our players gave their best (motivation, determination) or did they perform well ? Sometimes you give all you have but still perform like crap ! Will we have informations on the commitment of our players and/or on their forms ? - Will there be a relation between training and matchday, especially concerning form ? We should be able to know which player performs well during the week, who is "on fire" and who is full of doubts ! We should have an indication on who's going to perform well on matchday. In relation to my first interrogation, I would like to be able to pick a young player in my first team because he worked hard to encourage him but I also would like to pick him simply because he's in great form and outperformed his older teamate during the week ! Really hope that these little things could be in the game...
  10. Hi ! I think that AI managers don't rotate or don't rest enough their players because, most of the times, I play against a team that's has a lot of players who are below 85% of fitness in the beginning of the game... that makes it easier to win games !... I don't think that the AI uses rests from training when needed... what do you think ?...
  11. No possibility to have access to the pre-game editor now ?... I need it to be able to begin my game as I need to add lower divisions in the league I want to play in !...
  12. It would be nice if we could have some "official" infos about how these meetings are supposed to impact our players !... If they do anything, do they "only" impact their morales or do they have an effect on how they'll apply the tactic and the instructions ?... Is it just a "cosmetic" feature or does it really have an impact on the gameplay and, if so, how ?... I don't want to take time on these meetings if they don't have any effect !... Thanks...
  13. Hello ! Could we have a topic where people would only post their impressions on the beta ? What do they like ? What do they don't ? No discussions... only small "reviews" !... It would be great, thanks !... So let us now how you enjoy the game so far...
  14. That's exactly my point !... I don't care if the game is very realistic or not but, in this case, I think that it would really add something to the gameplay. Something like the way EA's Fifa series handles players conditions during the game could force us to be more subtle tactically.
  15. Hi ! I think that players conditions during a game should be split in two "things". One should show their long-term energy and one their short-term. The long-term would be quite the same as the one that exists now but the short-term would reflect how a player reacts after a big effort. It should go down quickly but could also go up quite quickly depending on the quality of recuperation of the player. For example, when a player does 2 big 70 meters sprints in a minute it should go down nearly to zero because he should be quite exhausted for a moment. But after a while calming down the player would gain (a part of) his energy back. When the long-term energy is higher the player would be able to have more short-term energy and recover it faster and when the short-term energy is nearly to zero it should burn the long-term one faster if he continues to try to do some big efforts anyway. I sometimes play a cycling manager game (PCM) that models those energy differences quite well. With this implemented we would have to use high pressure or the highest tempos more carefully and we'll also have to slow down sometimes to allow our players to regain energy. I hope that I explained my point of view clearly enough. All the best...
  16. Hello ! I think that scout next opponent reports should be changed and maybe look a bit like players report where we can learn their strenghts and weaknesses. We should ask our scout or maybe assistant manager which matches we want him to analyze. I wish that he could give me information about how this team plays tactically. I want to know if they put high pressure or not, how high/deep is its defence lign, what kind of passing do it use, do they pass through the middle or by the flanks, do they do man marking, who are its best/worst players and why !... And you, what information would you like to receive ?
  17. Hi ! I always found that it could/should be easier and quicker to set the "opposition instructions" ! What I suggest is that everything should be viewable and changeable from the "tactic screen" in the "opposition instructions" pannel ! We would be able to right click on any opposite player and then we would have a little "menu" to let us choose between "player instructions" and "position instructions". Once this menu chosen, we would have to choose between all the possibilities: "closing down" , "tight marking", etc. Once the instruction set, we could see it on the "tactic screen" with a little corresponding icon near the player. The icon could have a different color if the instruction is made for the position !... In a perfect world, those instructions could be seen and changed on the "opposition widget" on the "pitch screen" during the match !... I hope that my explanation is understandable enough !!! What do you think ?
  18. The more infos we could have the better it is... training feedback and "state of mind" would be needed because there's no way to anticipate anything !... Does someone know if recent performances will impact next one ?
  19. What makes a player play well on a certain match ? I guess his attributes, his moral and his physical condition for sure... Has his recent form an impact on his next performance ? Or just on his moral ? Can we expect that a player who had a 9 on his last game should perform better than the same one who had a 5 ? Should we take this into account when picking up a team ? Is the "form of the day" random ? Also has training an impact ? Should a player who trains well perform better than the one who doesn't ? For now it seems that it's the opposite... a player who has good performance has a better moral so he'll train better !... IRL, the manager observes his player during the training week and that could give him information about who could be "on fire" !... This Young player was really good during the training week so maybe I should put him on the pitch !... I would really like this aspect being implemented in the game !...
  20. Has the possibility to "display attributes as bar chart instead of 1-20" gone ? I've been searching the preferences but was unable to find it ! If so, it would be a big desillusion for me as I really liked this feature that was like "a deeper Fog of War" !
  21. I copy a suggestion I made last year here : http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/315003-(suggestion)-Possibility-to-save-a-player-s-profile-to-see-its-evolution-easier... Some people seemed to like it... Maybe SI will too... I wish I could save a player profile at a point in time to be able to compare it to the same player's profile later ! So it would be easier to see where he improved or declined ! Now, if you want to be able to make such a comparaison, you need to go to the attribute development section and analyse the graphic, group of attributes by group of attributes ! It takes time to understand how you player evolves ! And you can only do that for the players you're managing ! What I suggest is to be able to save a player's profile at a moment in time (say the 1.9.2012) ant then, if you want to, later (say a year later) you'll be able to go on the player's profile page, then on the "comparison" screen ! Here you'll be able to choose, in the list, "this player at (1.9.2012)" ! So easily you'll be able to see how he improved/declined during this year ! You'll see easily his attributes, overview and stats evolution ! Exactly how you would compare him to another player ! I hope I'm understandable...
  22. Hi ! I have a little suggestion concerning the opposition screen which, for me and for now, takes too much time to deal with. I wish we could see all the instructions for every player at once. There could be two possibilities to do so : 1) Add colums so we could have everything at once... "closing down", "tight marking", etc... It would be nice to have the possibility to chose those in the custom building of this panel ! I don't understand why we can't ! 2) In the "Tactics" screen of the "Opposition Instructions" panel there could be little icons that would represent every action ("closing down", "tight marking", etc) under every player. So we could simply see and click on them to "on/off" them ! It would be faster and simpler to do and easier to see/comprehend ! There could be a panel for "players instructions" and another for "positions instructions". In an ideal world we would be able to see/change those icons on the (opposite) "team formation" widget during the match. I really like the "opposition instructions" principle but often I skip them because I find it to much time consuming because not simple enough... what do you think ?
