  1. I've had the same problem, too. I've seen some people share the problem that many goals are from incredibly, somewhat unrealistic long range.

    For example:

    Game vs Guiseley

    2 goals from long shots at the 81st and 82 mins

    Guiseley v Gateshead.pkm

    Game vs Blyth Spartans

    2 goals at the 13th and 18th mins

    Blyth Spartans v Gateshead.pkm

    Goal at the 2nd min


    I think this needs to be addressed.

  2. I feel SI were rushed this year to do this announcement campaign with no new features yet to show us only to promote Google Stadia more than FM20 itself so that's a bit worrying sign for me (I really like Google Stadia btw. It'll be revolutionary).

    Last year SI did pretty big changes on several modules of the game (especially tactics and training) but I still hope we'll get more than tweaks around the edges version of FM19.

  3. I think now most teams IRL have tactical fluidity as their players can readily understand several positions on the pitch as it is part of modern football. For example, you can see a manager playing a LB in a LWB or CB position when playing three at the back and the look fairly comfortable playing there without having to train him for months in that specific position.

    The current player's position training option doesn't reflect how things are in football these days. Seeing a LB's suitability saying he's ineffectual or unconvincing when played as LWB is not realistic imo.

    In FM terms, I'd like to have the option to train a player for several (similar) positions all at once as a block (FB/WB/Wide midfielder, DM/CM/AM, CB/DM, etc), and tie the player's ability to be more tactically flexible to both determination and versatility attributes as well as the player's age (as younger ones can be easier to mold) or other attributes SI see fit.

  4. I'd like to see an option that my created manager can start to learn a new language in game so that it's more realistic to get a job abroad and maybe tie this to the adaptability attribute (higher adaptability means he'll be able to learn that language quicker).

    I don't know if that's really a major factor in AI chairmen's decision to offer a manager the job after interview or not but it could be a nice addition. It could be even used to start press speculations whether I (my created manager) am interested in moving to a new club in a nation that speaks that language.

  5. I'm really exited about the tactics module as it seems that you'll have more control about the style of pressing you want to implement (via line of engagement, transition options, etc). Pressing was pretty much generic in previous versions.

    One thing I hope we'll also get in FM19 is a new set pieces module and generally more options to control players movement in the box (and I wish we can get the 'love train' option :D)

  6. Every time I make tactical changes when I score a goal (after the goal, before the replay) and hit the ok button the game freezes forever. I've updated the game to 18.1.3 and removed any graphics loaded in the game and still the bug persists. Sometimes this freeze resloves automatically after 5-10 mins.  I don't want to close the game and play a match again as I feel this is a form of cheating especially when I'm losing.
