  1. I've been running the level 22 (advanced) file on its own and only running england and I been on holiday until Feb 2031 and I noticed the Carabao Cup ran for 3 years and hasn't been run since. Has anyone else had this?

    Also noticed the all the lower levels only appear to run every other season. This is very weird.

  2. If Dan or anybody else gets a moment of your precious time, two teams in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division namely Saltash United & Torpoint Athletic are two teams that have four different squads. These the Senior, Reserve, U23 and U21 but looking at the editor the U23 side was not added in the editor but appears in the game. Maybe this is a clue to errors that have been occurring, although these just my thoughts.

    I only noticed this Is I'm unable to add the normal and small club badges to both of the teams. The png files are all present but the config files seem to be unable to read the ID of the Under 23's squads namely 2062014127.png and 2062055552.png respectively.

    All club logos otherwise have been verified/corrected/added up to this mentioned league.

  3. I wish to thank Dan who has put in such a great effort to this project that I think he deserves a round of applause.  Just for a heads up, I have taken a quick look and the logo pack that had a lot of the club badges that was released for the FM2017 version most if not all of the logos will not work for the clubs that had to be created in the FM2018 editor. This is due to the fact that the club ID number for the clubs that are created in the 2018 editor will almost certainly be different. For example, I selected at random 'Bishops Waltham Dynamos' who had the ID '2062003469' on FM2017. However, on FM2018 the club ID is 2062003495 so both the png file name and the code in the config file will need to be changed to work as intended. It can be fixed but it will be a very time consuming process. I think the logos bring this project a lot more to life. Thanks again Dan.

    No, I don't any editors & never have.

    2007 sounds far too early for genie scout to be doing that but I'm no expert on it.  I've certainly seen threads before confirming that Genie scout couldn't read actual PAs, it only ever estimated them.  If thats changed its perhaps linked to SI releasing the IGE meaning more data was available but thats only a guess.

    EDIT

    Having searched back time maybe flies or perhaps I've just confused it with something else but there are posts dating back to around 2008/2010 saying that Genie scout can read PA so saying it worked in 2007 is likely correct as well.

    I can confirm FM2007 100% had genie scout as I still have it :) I'm pretty sure I have genie scout for FM2006 too.

  5. It can be found under the rules of the competition.

    It says:

    Failure to comply will result in one of the following sanctions:

    If remaining in the same division a points deduction of 5 points for the following season.

    If player wager expenditure increases above allowed limits a fine of a percentage of the amount overspent will be imposed.

    So next season you lose 5 points and you get a fine (I assume this will be at the end of the season).

    Is it not one or the other?

    "Failure to comply will result in one of the following sanctions"

  6. As far as I'm aware FM2007 can't be played on Windows 10. This is due to the way Windows 10 has changed the way that Windows handles DRM issues and so most of the older FM games have proved difficult/impossible to get running on Windows 10. secdrv.sys driver cannot now be run or installed on Windows 10.

    If you can get on a computer using Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 then this is still possible if you don't have the Windows security update KB3086255 installed. This update disables the secdrv.sys driver which allows older games like FM2007 to run. But by uninstalling this you are making your computer more vulnerable so only do so at your own risk.

    I only found out myself a couple of days ago when I wanted to play FM2007 for the first time in about 12 months.

  7. Just thought i would pass this along... for your next update.... james Hurst is with Guiseley on Loan for rest of the season, Adam Smtih from wrexham is on loan to Guiseley for rest of the season and they have signed Ollie Norburn for a contract for rest of the season... not in ur 23 club save yet so i just thought would pass that along... Where can if find logos for the club for levels below the vanarama north and south?

    Try http://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/logos

    I recommend the Metallic logo pack :)

  8. I did dabble with this on FM2011. You need to change the 'short name' of the club. This is by default limited to 25 characters.

    You must have downloaded the editor. The file you need to amend is called club.xml and is found here...

    C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2014 Editor\data\format\database

    Find and open 'club.xml' with notepad.

    Look for this bit of code in club.xml (near the top)

    <!-- short name -->

    <record>

    <flags id="field" value="Csnm" />

    <translation id="name" translation_id="292684" type="use" value="Short Name" />

    <flags id="type" value="string" />

    <boolean id="is_client_field" value="true" />

    <boolean id="is_language_field" value="true" />

    <integer id="max_length" value="25" />

    </record>

    And change the "max length" from 25 to however many characters you want.

    Save the file club.xml

    Run the editor and then you can edit the short name of clubs to more than 25 characters.
