  1. im from south africa and though i still dont have my FM09, i can only add sumthing from FM08.

AND PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A RACIST COMPLAINT, just a thought to be more realsitic!!!

in South Africa, or africa in general, there is a massive difference when it comes to names of white or black people, noe my idea is for the REGEN PLAYERS and THEIR NAMES, you will get in FM08 a regen player who is WHITE, with the name THABO NDLOVU for a random example, the problem with this is that both THABO and NDLOVU are very very common BLACK names, so a white player with that name is almost ridiculas! and not at all realistic, AND PLEASE DONT THINK IM RACIST BY SAYING THIS!

another example would be a BLACK regen player with a name such as FRANCIOUS DU PLESISS, which is an incredibly white name here, I hope SI is getting my point that it seems very unrealistic to mix up names and races. i know they regen players and it randomized, but thats just my view!

AGAIN PLEASE DONT THINK OF ME AS RACIST!

PS> here are sum common black and white names and surnames (FORGIVE MY SPELLING PLS) if itl help SI!

    Black:

    Ndlovu

    Mokeona

    Lebogang

    Thabo

    Thebogo

    Zuma

Radebe (Leeds Fans might remeber Lucas Radebe)

    Junior

    Khanye

    ETC ETC

    White:

    Du Plessis

    Van Der Merwve

    Botes

    Botha

    Tian

    Thinus

    Pieter

    Jean

    De Villers

    etc etc

PPS: by the way i mean that the Regen players pic dont match with thier name!

ALos these are by no means the most common names or anything, thay are just an example of how balck and white names differ!

Thats not racist. Don't ever be made to feel racist becuase you can tell the difference between two cultures.

Maybe for Manager wages, there could be an extra option like an FM shop like in pro-evo. You save up your wages, maybe a cumulative total from all your saves etc, and you can buy extra tournaments from the past.

These tournaments wouldn't affect your save game and you'd have to start a new game to play them but it would be a nice little add on. Managers who prefer starting in the lower leagues usually play with the intent of a longer challenge anyway, so they wouldn't mind maybe working for longer to get enough wages to buy a tournament.

Possibly in the extra's you could have a set aim like

Make England win the world cup in 66

In January make Newcastle win the Premiership when Keegan fluffed it up (cant remember the actual year.)

Taking Greece to win Euro 2004 etc etc

Would be a nice little extra and give Manager wages some point to them rather then for ego.

This is actualy the worst idea i've ever seen on this forum...

I'm extremely happy that you dont work for FM because that would be the end of FM being the best game ever... would have been an average game like the other manager games around ugh

nothing personal by the way </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

It would make it more entertaining than the boring thing they have out now.

Just looking at some of the ideas people come up with.

    TARGETS?

Who caresabout that, its crap. It'll be fun for about a week, then you realise it slows your game right down, and makes it even more boring.

  3. Basic improvements

    * General match engine improvements

-Strikers know when to try and cross a ball instead of trying a shot with an impossible angle. No matter what is in in information.

-More long range goals. I dont really see them as much anymore.

-Defenders need to be more aware of things on the pitch. They do some stupid things that never really happen in real life.

-General man marking needs improving. They dont really man mark players do they?

    Transfer rule suggestion

This new rule is probably going to become more and more used in the future, so should be used in the game.

The ability for a player to buy out his remaining 2 years of contract

It being suggested in real life that Heinze may take up this option. He will pay Man Utd 6.8 Million, be released, then join Liverpool who will give him a big sign on fee to cover his losses.

I believe this should most definitely be included.

In the game you could 'tap up' players and see who is interested, or filter them players out in the player search.

You could then negotiate with the player saying that if they pay off their contract totalling 3mil, you will compensate them with a hefty sign on fee.

Maybe to spice it up a bit, when a player leaves his club, you can refuse to sign him icon_biggrin.gif (cruel), or a rival club could come in and try and snap him up.
