crouchaldinho
Ladies and Gentlemen, Sick of 3D? Fed up with jerky or stuttering match highlights? Love the imagination factor of watching a bunch of dots darting about on the pitch? Enjoy the tactical side of the game and feel that you can better judge your tactics in 2D? Then you should join my new club. It's called the 'CAMpaign for Really Awesome Dots' or CAMRAD. Basically, CAMRAD fundamentally believes that there should be a basic 2D mode (similar to FM08) for those who don't like or don't want 3D and for those who experience stuttering and jerky match highlights in FM09. CAMRAD doesn't necessarily want to end 3D but it wants a viable alternative. A fluid, steady and reliable 2D match mode that doesn't put too much strain on your computer. CAMRAD believes in the power of the imagination and feels that FM is a game that should stick to playability over flashy graphics. In short, CAMRAD loves the dots! Peter-Evo is the first member of CAMRAD and I am the chairman. We reserve the right to refuse any applications. Our mascot is Parslow, the ultimate FM dot. Look at Parslow. He looks sad and lost. Look at the way he is drifting along, alone, sad and forlorn. He can't even bring himself to look at his fellow dots, such is his melancholy state. CAMRAD believes that Parslow epitomises the current state of 2D at the moment. Things must change! Just a bit of fun but on a serious note, I would like to know how many people would appreciate a more basic 2D classic mode such as that on FM08? Perhaps if there are enough people, this is something that will get looked at for FM10. Bring back basic dot mode! Long live the dots! C. peter-evo
Yes, here I am. While I do enjoy the 3D and still use it; 2D-Classic is the way to go and, at the moment, it doesn't live up to the standard looks wise and flow wise than FM08.

Dregganor
I always play in 2D, so I have to agree. I have gone as far to refer to FM as "Dots" with my friends and girlfriend.
crouchaldinho
Yes arsenal_2111, although that's a minor issue. Awesome dot mode is out bread and butter but a manager dot would certainly be something that I think CAMRAD would feel strongly about. C.

Mike7077
I must admit that, since 9.3.0, I've really been enjoying 3D. Works excellently and I find it a lot easier for working out my tactics than 2D.
crouchaldinho
That one? I prefer the number 6 dot called Parslow. He looks a little bit melancholy and lost in that screenshot. I think he epitomises the current state of 2D generally. A little lost. We need firm support for the dots to take them into a new era! Long live the dots! C. Spleen!
Boo hiss! Didn't think that would go down well I wouldn't mind if SI introduced a basic 2d classic mode, but I probably wouldn't use it. I must admit that, since 9.3.0, I've really been enjoying 3D. Works excellently and I find it a lot easier for working out my tactics than 2D. I've found that the 3D has really helped me as well, I was sceptical before FM09 came out, but now find myself using it for every match.
