ASTOTTI5228
Can anyone help me with this. Why is it that when I loan out players their training levels always go down. I've always thought loaning players out was a good thing. Is that just something I have to decide on....first team experience or actually getting better. I have top of the line facilities so I guess I just don't know the best thing to do. Am I reading too much into the training levels?
Kenco
If you loan a player out then he'll only get training at the standard of the club you have loaned him to.
ASTOTTI5228
So if I have top training facilities, then I'm better off keeping them on my reserves instead of moving someone to an affiliated club??
Kenco
It's all about the balance. One one hand, you want them to get the best training available, but on the other you want them to get first-team experience. For players to develop they need both these things, but how much of each depends on your own view.
ASTOTTI5228
So is there like a certain age that i could use to be a good guide. Should I care more about the training the younger they are and then when they get older, make sure they get experience?
Kenco
My personal preference is to keep players at my club, and try to introduce them gradually into the first team through occasional sub appearances/mickey mouse cup games. I will still loan players out if I get offers, but there is no guarantee they will get a game for an affiliated club, so I prefer to have them on my training schedules.
