Retrain Position

this has probably already been asked but how do you retrain a player position?

Click on player then click 'Overview' in the training. Should be a drop down box where you can pick a new position.

To extend the topic a little further, how long can it take for a player to train a new position and be at least competent in it?

depends on the player, it takes months and usually near the end of the season

It can be quick, though. My midfielder, Tom Field, retrained to a right midfielder (from competent level) in about 2 weeks, and he's a part-timer, so trains less.

The main attribute which determines the length of re-training is versatility, a hidden attribute which can be seen in the editor.

bubsa is right, but even more so if you keep playing that player in that position you wanna retrain him in,, it will speed up the process.

They even became natural on position if training and playing it.

That's really interesting and very useful tip about playing the players in the position they're retaining in.
