wrightinio
I know a twisted ankle can be painful and can take a few weeks to a month or two MAX. However this is ridiculous. I patched up to 9.0.3 this morning.
Nomis07
I don't see the problem. Edit: at the time of posting this, the OP had forgotten to add the image and I was being a smartarse.

crafty bison
The fact that he's out for 5-6 months with a twisted ankle, I assume. I agree it's stupid if that's legitimate, and I can believe it because on the old patch twisted ankles routinely took 2 months which was crazy enough. Nomis07
Argh web filter stinks, how long is he out for? Edit: CraftBison answered. Do you have a physio?
JustinJJ
I think the OP is refering to out for 5 to 6 months.
wrightinio
Yeah sorry guys, I had some initial problems uploading the image. Seems to be working now. 5 to 6 months for a twisted ankle? Very silly length of time it seems to me.

chopper99
That is a very long time to be out with a twisted ankle. I'd be interested to see if many other people experience this.
Katarian
It seems a bit long, but then your AFC Telford in the BSN I think. So your physio is most likely rubbish and that isn't helping. I've had one really long injury in the BSS on 9.3 but it was shin splints and 9+ months sounded about right.
wrightinio
Do you have a physio? Rudi Farquharson Now granted, his physiotherapy isn't the best. But before the patch he was decent at predicting the time out, if not excellent. Now I haven't read the changelist for the new patch in great detail as of yet, so whether the physiotherapy attribute now has more bearing on the predicted time out, I don't know. However, even if this were the case, it is fairly common knowledge that even the worst twisted ankle would take a couple of months MAX to heal. I know this and IRL I'd have a physiotherapy attribute of 1! For it to be so long surely it would have to be ligament damage, a tear or a break? SI Staff PaulC Posted February 27, 2009 SI Staff Share Posted February 27, 2009 Can you let us know as you play on how long he is *actually* out for? So we can identify if the text or the injury itself is broken.
auto98uk
Can you let us know as you play on how long he is *actually* out for?So we can identify if the text or the injury itself is broken. Twisted, not broken
wrightinio
Can you let us know as you play on how long he is *actually* out for?So we can identify if the text or the injury itself is broken. Sure, I'll keep things posted in here. One 'in-game' week on and the only development is that the "between 5 months and 6 months" now says "expected to be out for around 5 months." RossoneriGunner
It told me one of my player's would be out for between...12 days and 2 weeks... is not 2 weeks fourteen days, so why let me know he could be out for a further 2 days?
wrightinio
It told me one of my player's would be out for between...12 days and 2 weeks... is not 2 weeks fourteen days, so why let me know he could be out for a further 2 days? I don't quite understand what the problem is? Your physio is stating an expected time of recovery. I'd say 12-14 days is a fairly accurate estimation (obviously depending on the injury). No point in him saying "Player X will be out for 12 days" incase he's out for 13 or 14. The reason I started this thread wasn't to do with the actual estimation in itself. It was more to do with the type of injury and the expected time out being stated for that particular injury. For example I'd have no problem with 5-6 months if it was some type of break, but for a twisted ankle??
begilsson
What does it say if you request a physio report?
wrightinio
What does it say if you request a physio report? Great thinking, and this is what it says... 6 to 8 weeks. Does this mean it is simply a text error? It still says "expected to be out for 5 months" on his 'Profile' screen.
RossoneriGunner
I have no problem with it, it is just that why they just did not say 'He will be out for 2 weeks', and if he comes back earlier all well and good. It was something that made me smile thats all.
