Thanks for the feedback Diegas. For a team like Lyon, in an easy league for them, you'd do much better with V4 home and away. Also read OP. A friend from Portugal was Lyon and scored many, winning all trophies in 1st season. His MC's scored many from outside box; Toulalan and Juninho especially.

Resigned and changed to mid-table team. Now I have only monster DC and average ST, rest of the squad is quite crappy, but the tactics works much better.

Still goals come ussually form those two guys - DC and ST.

Here are some experiences I have with V4. It's now the end of my 1st season with Standard Luik in the Belgian League. And I am champion with 2 games to go. My goal scorer is Jovanovic who has made 21 in 27, He's my right hand striker (back arrow), He has a 17 in pace and that's very important as he sometimes runs past 2 -3 defenders, my other strikers seem to struggle to score and have only 5 in 25. I use Defour & Nicaise as my central players. So one is more defensive minded then the other. Defour has 22 assists in this season now and doing great running the midfield. While Nicaise is playing lower to counter any counter attack. It seems that when I play Witsel together with Defour they both play bad. I think this is because both have a lot of creativity and demand the ball. My defence is very strong with Onyewu & Sarr, not a lot of pace though (around 11 - 12), but since I am mostly playing at their half the other teams use a lot of long & high forward passes and they all get intercepted by them both. My wingers are doing fine, score once and a while and having good ratings & Assists. Only the condition gets low very fast.

Anyway my squad harmony is great, not one players has a lower morale then Good and I've won the league.

The only thing is what I've mentioned previously is that I don't get any success in continental cups (CL, Uefa) but maybe that was because it was still early in the season and team wasn't gelled.

I'll probably lose a lot of players at the end of the season so I need to get good replacements. I will probably loose the following players: Onyewu, Nicaise, Defour, Witsel, Jovanovic, Mulemo,... I have bought some youngsters in the last transfer period but I need to buy a player who can carry this team like Defour is doing so a good DM/AM who won't have a lot of problems blending in with good offensive as defensive stats and is influential. I have my hopes up that I can attract Keirrison to replace Jovanovic next season.

Anyway Tyler, thanks again for your tactic and hints and tips. They've brought back my joy in life...eeeuuuhhh FM ;-)

I had problems with my strikers, but now,:

1. I use V5 (home/away) with strikers from V4 (instrucctions). Left Striker is Good header and Rigth is creative.

2. I use Target Man, is my left striker and i throw ball to his head.

Im Leeds, 1st seasson in Premier with a prevision 19, my team is championship level; in the half of seasson im 10, and my strikers scored 8 and 7 goals in 17 matches. I drew in Anfield 2-2 and Stanford Bridge 2-2.

I'm having a mix of the V4 and the V5 tactic with great success. Got 2nd in my 1st year with 1.FC Köln in Bundesliga + won the cup, media prediction was 12th. In second season again 2nd (Bayern is just unstoppable) which is still a great achievement I never achieved with other tactics. At the moment leading the table in my 3rd season, going to win it this season I have a good feeling :). Big

Tyler can you help because I'm going insane here, I used your version 3 and 4 tactics with Leeds and Boca Juniurs and was successful.

Won League One and Championship with Leeds and won a title with Boca.

Now I'm at Everton with the below squad and I'm struggling badly!!

<a href="http://s577.photobucket.com/albums/ss211/foostickuk/?action=view&current=efcsquad.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i577.photobucket.com/albums/ss211/foostickuk/efcsquad.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Where am I going wrong? That squad basically came 9th last season and I'm 11th now in January the following season.

Hi Foozle. Have a read over OP as I've made a few changes. Try sticking to V4 and change to V5 only when you are losing in a game. The feedback I have had suggests this can make a difference to results. Also why have you got a DMC?

Well done mate, thats some results you're getting. You say you mix V4 and V5, what do you mean by this?

I just mean I switch between them in game. If I see we cannot create any chances or are getting to much shots on our goal I switch to either V4 or V5. Works really great so far because it leaves you abit "uncracked".

I think that was related to V4 mate,

if u look at instruction for both strikers in V5 they exactly the same....

This is all a bit confusing to be honest, probably due to the fact 5 versions have been realesed in less than a month.

V1 seems to be effetcive, V2 and V3 a bit of a flop, then V4 is great for home games, i personally havent had enough time to test V5.

Thanks mate, amazing tactic. Im in my third seasson with Leeds in the premier, i use V5 my results were:

2-2 against Liverpool in Anfield

1-2 i won against Fullham

4-0 i won against Convetry in the cup.

My team is one of the worst in Premier ehhhe, but i play very well. I just use V5, home and away.

I have a questionm in your first post u said:

- AM/FC: Passing, creativity/flair. --- Studrrige

- ST: Finishing/heading, strength. --- Eaton

but then u said:

ST: the one in the hole with the back arrow needs good technique, passing, creativity, dribbling and first touch. He comes deep, holds the ball, creates openings and is the link between to the ST. Arshavin, Robinho and Rooney would be perfect.

ST: the other one needs pace and/or acceleration, finishing, composure and off the ball. Saviola did well for me as did Lavezzi in a previous game. But I'm sure you could afford better with Man City's cash.

Wich is the best option, the first one with strong Striker or the last one with a fast striker?

thanks

hmm i have tested ur V5, not for alot of games, but with some of the games only, and find that actually my team isnt creating alot of CCC. they can only score thru corners, which is quite hard when im against stronger team.. and the ST on the left is always having low rating abt 5.6-6.4. so i tweak abit on the ST and for 1 of the MC and it actually works for me.. but no sure whether it will works for somes..

erm.. if u wan i can post out the little tweak i have done.. ^^

Oh ya.. btw, ur V5 really did a good job for defending... but nt much for scoring.. ^^ but it actually solve my defending problem when using V4. so.. cheers..

Any chance some people could tell us their stories so far with the tactics?

Hi Tyler

I've just started a new save with a Portuguese 2L mid table team (Olhanense) and so far your tactic is doing the job.

With a 50k transfer budget it's not easy to get players in, and I've brought a few free youngsters in... Currently being just one in starters... So basically i have the default squad.

I'm currently 2nd 1pt behind 1st, 10 pld - 6 won - 2 draw - 2 lost - 19-9 goals.

One draw and both lost were away, but did good performance on every one using v5 i suppose.

I'm quite happy so far, despite last 2/3 games i won by 1-0 and feeling some pressure near end.

What i really like on it it's the consistency about it. Even when drawing or loosing the team can really get a decent performance creating opportunities to score. I was knocked out of the Cup by Benfica, loosing 4-2 away but i had almost the same scoring opportunities as them, and i believe player quality made the difference.

I usually go for v4 home and away unless i fear the opponent going v5 in that case, like with Benfica at their stadium.

I'm not a top coach but in my opinion v4 is slightly better than v5. I feel v5 lacks offensive power (but i admit i might be biased by general forum opinions :) )

I'll keep posting as the season develops :)

Thanks for this nice tactic.

im using V1 on patch 9.2. Results are mixed, pretty good at home, mediocre away. Teams seem to have to many shots when im playing away from home. Im being Notts County btw, im in the Championship, about 14th at the mo. Hoping this tactic can push me towards the play-offs, all my tactics have gone stale.

After using v5 for half season my 3th with man city i got say it didn´t brought results as good as v4 some i'm gonna continue playing with v4 in this save.

Gonna try v5 in other saves that i have and see what happens:thup:.

I used the original V3 tactic on the new patch with amazing effect up until my current season.

I took over Rushden in the Blue Square Premier with the mission of mid-table finish. I won the league!

League 2 season, told to keep us up. I won the league! I also won the FA Cup beating Bolton, Fulham and then Everton in the final!

Current season is Rushden in League One. Having some issues and finding myself losing quite a bit, was most recently down 3-0 against Walsall, changed to the new V5 and got it to 3-2 before having two players sent off and finishing 4-2.

I'm confident the new V4/V5 will bring me success again!

Pld 30 - Won 18 - Draw 5 - Lost 7 - 54-27 - 59pts Champion with 6 pts clear of 2nd. :)

In short words.

- V4 is really good for Home games against slightly superior/equal/weaker teams.

- V5 is poor (IMHO) against everyone.

I won the championship at home (always V4) and pretty much struggled away using V5.

I can't make decent tactics because i suck but i think V5 should have something linking the forwards to the rest of the team... and they should have different instructions to play... How wish i could tweak it :)

So Tyler, great work with v4 but, v5 still has a long way ahead, and this setup really needs a control/defending version for away games.

Of course only my opinion and once again thank you for sharing it with us.

Keep up.

Thanks for you're honest feedback mate. If you read the OP, you will see that V5 should only be used when losing in a match. Its not an 'away' tactic really. More of a 'get stuck into the opponent' type tactic, hence V5 is more effective in those situations.

Helloooooooooo chiken nuggets !! Lol

some questions:

V4 home and V5 Away? or V4 and if u are losing V5?

**NEW V5 TACTIC AVAILABLE** (Start match with V4, change to V5 if losing). --- V5 more attacking?

tyler suggest that using V4 at home and V5 for away game. which mean V5 is for defending. As in the post before V5 was out, some of us r having problem in away game when using V4 as we find ourselves keep losing.. so that is y V5 is out to helps those who r having problem defending in away game.

hope this answer ur question

Actually the V4 is for home and away. The V5 is for using if you are losing in a match which will happen more when you are away.
