TYLERBODE TACTICAL OVERVIEW

* 'Plug and Play' team tactic.

* Important to have correct player attributes for each position.

* Important to use training schedule.

* Can be used at all levels.

* Corners inswinging (right footer on left corners and vice versa). Tallest/best jumper set to 'Challenge Keeper'.

* Choose smallest pitch size.

* If away matches under-performing (generally) : lower tempo and team mentality by 3-5 notches.

Main attributes for each position (/ = and OR)

GK: Reflex, handling, agility, rushing out, concentration/decisions.

DC: Positioning, tackling, jumping/heading, concentration/decisions, acceleration. Height 6ft+(183cm).

FB: Acceleration, positioning, tackling, concentration/decisions, passing.

MC: Passing, tackling/positioning, teamwork/workrate.

MRC/LC: Acceleration, dribbling, passing/flair/creativity.

FC: Acceleration, dribbling, off the ball, first touch/flair/technique.

Preferred Move Training

DC: Stay back, don't dive in.

FB: Stay back, don't dive in.

MR/L: Run/Dribble with ball down right/left.

MC: Try long shots, shoot with power.

FC: Run with ball through centre, place shots/round/lob keeper, moves into channels.

Teamtalks (maintains high morale)

Kick-off: 'Nothing'. Rival team: 'For Fans'. When underdogs(^2/1): Home- 'We Can Win', Away- 'Wish Luck'.

Half-time: Winning: 'Nothing'. Drawing (playing well): 'Nothing'. Drawing (playing bad) or Losing: 'I want more/Disappointed, etc'.

Full-time: (Despite result) -5 'Disappointed', +8 'Delighted'. 5.0 to 7.9: (Team) 'Well done/Good effort, etc'.

Ok. I finished a short test of your tactic.

I started the game in the second Polish league with midtable club - Flota Świnoujście (media prediction - 10.).

As you can see on the following screenshots results are very good, after seven matches takes first place in the table. I am most pleased with the victory over Korona(3) and Znicz (5). Tactic is very good in defensive (only 3 goals conceded). For this I must add that my players do not perfectly fulfill the requirements of tactic. Much injuries disturbed me too.

Zigi, thanks a lot for you're feedback. Glad its worked for you. Very interesting that it was successful for a smaller team in a lower league. You will find that the longer you use the tactic the better you're team will play, especially when you get the right players. I can upload my training schedule if you like, it may help with injuries.

I assume that by 2014 Motherwell would have a pretty decent team...

I only started managing Motherwell in 2012. They were poor, especially for my tactics. I sold almost every player and bought young players. Average age of team is 20. We are now unbeaten in League after 32 games and in Champions League Semi's against my old Rangers team. I'll post some screenshots later.

Tyler could you give more info on what kind of players you use mate eg DC tackling postioning WB pace ST.Played a few games mate with manc started new game,had some promising results

No probs. Since the defensive line is quite high, you need some pace in your defence, even although a lot of goals against you are chalked off for offside.

DC: at least one DC needs to be quite fast. Zapata is perfect. Positioning and concentration are important. Jumping and tackling are also important but not as vital as others.

DR/L: need some pace and/or acceleration, passing, tackling, positioning mainly. I would say at least 14 in these attributes. Bridge, Moggia and would be perfect.

ST: the one in the hole with the back arrow needs good technique, passing, creativity, dribbling and first touch. He comes deep, holds the ball, creates openings and is the link between to the ST. Arshavin, Robinho and Rooney would be perfect.

ST: the other one needs pace and/or acceleration, finishing, composure and off the ball. Saviola did well for me as did Lavezzi in a previous game. But I'm sure you could afford better with Man City's cash.

:thup: must have been playing all night long :D

I had a previous thread when it was a 9.2.0 tactic with Rangers. Its now a 9.3.0 tactic with Motherwell. I have tweaked it and it appears to work even better on 9.3.0.

Hey just like to say tried your tactic Tyler , nd it works really well i was struggling mid season with schalke ive been on a 3 game draw streak i implemented your tactic and it works perfectly thanks (Y) :-)

Ok, it seems to be a solid tactic from what you're saying.

But you had not a 150 domestic unbeaten run with 9.3.0 patch, right?

Started as Chelsea and have 5 wins and 1 loss in the league. Man Utd beat me at home 2-1 they are the only team in the league to score against my side so far won 3-2 in the champions league. Early signs are very good so far, I will let you know how the season goes.

Does this tactic work for an team facing relegation? IE Stoke in the prem?

Do you reduce the D-Line if you are having trouble buying fast defenders?

You don't need really fast DC's. If they have pace and/or acceleration over 10, you should be OK. The tactic will tighten up your whole team as a defensive unit. Other people from smaller teams have had good results, so give it a go and let me know how you get on.

Do the centre midfielders need strength in order to perform(as they are told to hold up the ball - I'm guessing they need to have good technique, strength, decisions and dribbling)?

I've got a holiday game running to see how well this tactic does. I took over Middlesbrough and went on holiday with assistant told to use current match tactics.

Strength isn't important really if their technical attributes are good enough. For example, look at Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso and Fabregas. All of those attributes would be great, but if you can't get them all, it should work ok with some of them.

Gago, Pirlo, Veloso, Moutinho are perfect examples at the higher end of the market. Ideally for me, first touch, technique and passing are most important. Teamwork, positioning, dribbling and decisions to a lesser extent.

Results so far:

H 1860 München 1:1

A TuS Koblenz 0:2

H FSV Mainz 05 0:2

A VfL Osnabrück 2:5

H SV Wehen 1:0

P5 W1 D1 L3 GF4 GA10

My Team is predicted 5th in the league and should win the games against Koblenz and Osnabrück.

I really struggle to create ccc's. Every opponent is dominating the midfield and they press my team into the own half. Can't believe this tactic worked for you. :(

Looks pretty bad. Are you in 08/09 season? If so I'll give it a go.

For these tactics in the German 2nd Division, I'd say this is a good line up:

Pouplin;

Schwaab, Toprak, Butscher, Schlitte;

Abdessadki, Bechmann, Banovic, Olle-Olle;

Idrissou, Jager.

Is this close to you're own team?

I think you could replace Jager for a player with better technical attributes.

Strange how its not working for you. Have you updated to patch 9.0.3?

thanks mate managed to download this, i'e had couple of great results already 4-3 away at brum (after 3-1 down at h/t) and 5-2 against huddersfield!!!
