Officer Rex Bishop
Chris Evans' contract at Bolton expires this summer, and I feel like I can do better. What should I be concerned about in this process? If he's not listed as any of my players' favored personnel, am I pretty safe?
Nomis07
Hire Danny Baker instead.
Stevicus
if you go onto the staff search screen you will find some unemployed world class ass mans, i forget their names but they are usually italian, if not go to the spanish teams and look at the youth coaches, they have awesome attributes and would be great ass mans, madrid or barca are the best teams to find these
Officer Rex Bishop
Does language make a difference here? I try to avoid people who don't speak English for my staff because I assumed that would be a disadvantage.
Stevicus
Does language make a difference here? I try to avoid people who don't speak English for my staff because I assumed that would be a disadvantage. it doesnt make a difference for me, after a few months they learn english anyway. but its worth a gamble because bringing world class staff to the team raises the club profile and expands the knowledge of the world, as well as improved training and ass man team talks will be more effective
Box
What kind of stats are the most important for an assistant? I usually just use the position to sneak an extra coach into my club.
phnompenhandy
Their Adaptability attribute is key if foreign. If it''s good they'll pick up the lingo and not be a prob.
boywonder9
What kind of stats are the most important for an assistant? I usually just use the position to sneak an extra coach into my club. I look for man management, determination, motivation, discipline, and adaptability. Judging player ability and potential are helpful as well. If you have a small staff it may be a different story, as you'll need him to have good attributes linked to specific training activities. For larger clubs, the stats not connected to training are good.
pandemonium
I have Oleg Luzhny as my AssMan with Tottenham in 2011-12 and he is perfect, I have never seen him go into a press conference or give a team talk and not boost my player morale. I don't know how good he will be in your game but give him a look.
Dirty_ACE
Two words for you, Nick Theslof. Take a look at him, 20 adaptability, 20 determination, 20 player evaluations, 20 motivating, 10 discipline, 18-20 man management, and 13-16 tactical knowledge. His stats vary slightly from game to game, but they're usually very close to what I've written.

Blanco
If you've got Chris Evans as your AssMan then you must be deep in trouble...
Officer Rex Bishop
So it sounds like there aren't a lot of disadvantages to swapping your AM?
adam426
I tend to look for judging CA&PA, Man Management and Tactical Knowledge as the most important
CaptainPlanet
I've not noticed any different between a useless AM and a world class one.

Box
Well neither have if I'm honest, but makes me feel like I'm shaping a club if I get my own coaches and they all have 7 lovely gold stars next to their names.
Joe The Tiger
Neri the England coach is a great assisstant manager.
Officer Rex Bishop
Yeah I got Neri as a coach at my team. Evans ended up accepting a contract as a coach and I promoted Torbjorn Nilsson from coach to assistant manager. It definitely makes a difference; Nilsson gives me much more detailed tactical advice during the matches.
richthehamma
wow, i'm well happy just offered that neri a job as my assisstant at luton he only wanted £300 i offered £400 to make sure :-) he looks great though and i've only finished 1 season he must be desperate i guess he still has england too
