StevoRobbo
Are you sure they have a balance of zero? They would have received at least some money for TV rights and Prize money for last season? Or has this already been taken for debt?

StevoRobbo
No i meant that they would have a balance but defo no wages or transfer money Yeh they have nothing for transfers. And it makes sense that they are at their limit for wages aswell, otherwise there would have been some free transfers in. They probably cant even get any loans in seeing as they would need to pay a percentage, if not all of the players wages. They need to sell Rodwell fast

The thing is they still spent an awful lot of money on Fellini and yakubu is on like 70k a week or something ridonculous. No wonder they got no money. Maybe put -30/40k on wages. I did this at West Ham and Birmingham and they do sell players on the game. So something to consider even tho they arent selling anyone, but you got to think its a matter of time. DanSpur
Why not!! I was thinking about this but i thought they must have money maybe not for transfers or wages but in there balance for sure. And Kenwright dont want to push them into debt. hence why they have not brought anyone in. Good shout tho. http://www.evertoniansforchange.com/?p=224 He did this recently.. they have no money, chairman wants to leave but leave the club in the right hands, really struggling. Robert the Spud
The 0 (£) balance was strange to me, but that's what they say in the Everton thread, they seem to know their club pretty well. I did a test of this, and there was still a £6m balance even though I set it to 0(£), which obviously covers the wages. But they say that the club has no money for transfers, no money for extra wages(otherwise they would have gotten a free in there somewhere), and no money for anything. If they do a player swap, the other player has to be on same or less wage than the outgoing player etc. They're fooked in other words, can't really see how they'll survive like this, because also any incoming transfer fee will go straight on debt. So if this stays the same they'll be relegated within a few seasons, most likely. But this is just info I got from the Everton fans. If you keep the balance as it is, then Kenwright will still give you a decent budget, which would not be the case.

themadsheep2001
Looke like gradel of St Etiene Never saw that coming! Just read back a bit and saw the rumpus between Steve and Pav over Manchester United's budget. For the record, United did privately have £35million bid accepted, it failed because Sneijder was unwilling to lower his 210k a week wage demands, United already broke the wage structure once for Rooney, and weren't willing to it again. Both sides used the media in a cat and mouse game, while never willingly conceding talks were in place despite the fact the whole thing had started way back in April Mertesacker has passed his Arsenal medical apparently
