T4RG4
If so are the player shadows okay? They stretch/break whenever a player is near the edge of the pitch/taking corners/throw-ins. So this patch has introduced broken shadows for my game Anyone else get this? (so far I've seen two others comment they now have this problem). Was fine before so somethings probably been updated with the renderer. I dont notice any better graphics, but the shadows get screwed. Also seems to strain my GFX card less... but that might be my imagination after one match.
Micheal Ballack
Wtf is that?
DarkStarr
I've been having the same problem since i patched.

T4RG4
Thanks for the info DarkStarr - hopefully SI have one of these cards in the office and can test the latest build
Indi75
Yeah, at moment I'm running one, it's the HIS IceQ X1950, bit I don't have that problem.
T4RG4
What resolution and game settings do you use? (I presume max everything?)
ryu2999
I have the same card and have the same issues.
lawsie
must be a card issue i guess got the most up to date drivers?
Wakers
I have an X1950 - don't have this problem, i'm using catalyst drivers version 8.11.
T4RG4
Yeah, I have these drivers too. Bizzare. Its so distracting when you see the shows stretching/jumping all over the place when players are near the edge of the pitch.
Wakers
Have you updated directx recently?
Freeman21
I have x1950 pro, and also, sometimes get those freaky shadows. Truth is, I haven't updated my drivers for more than half an year now. I'll update them tonight . BTW, is there any way to turn off shadows ? I wouldn't mind not having them at all. T4RG4
I'm running 9.0c (DirectX) Latest graphic card drivers. Shadows always occur (when players stand in the areas in which it happens). Shadows cannot be turned off indepedently within the GUI. You can select Low quality graphics which then have tiny/fake shadows but then everything else looks quite awful.
Ridcully
I am having the same problem with an ATI Radeon X1900. I have updated the drivers but the problem remains.
Wakers
are you guys all running xp or vista? i'm running my x1950 on vista and don't get this - what model is your card exactly? i have an x1950 pro
Nicki
Yes, I got a Radeon X1950 Pro and I do have the same problem and yes all my drivers are up to date and so is DirectX. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition with service pack 3.
Wakers
wonder if its an xp thing?
ryu2999
Could be XP then as I am on that also. All Drivers etc are up to date.
T4RG4
Yep - I'm running on XP also...
StripeySCFC
I have a X1950XT and have the same issues....on XP! My match engine is also still a bit jerky now and again!? It really shouldnt struggle with this card at all.
T4RG4
I do not have any serious performance issues (occassional slowdown but usually after applying tactics changes) but the shadows are always broken for players near the pitch edge. I dont even have a very quick PC! P4 3.5Ghz, 2GB.
Nicki
I have just posted about this problem in the bugs forum. http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?p=2348419#post2348419
Indi75
What resolution and game settings do you use? (I presume max everything?) Yeah, all set to max. Incidentally, I'm not using CCC just the actual drivers. I'd add that the only time I get any jitter in matches is when using WMP11 or Zune 3.1, quite simply FM seems to multithread worse than I multitask, but apart from that graphics are fine. mackemforever
I have an ATI Radeon X1900XTX and have the same problem with the stretched shadows on the new patch.
Ridcully
I am also using XP with service pack 3.
VonBlade
So when they "sent the patch to testing", what they actually meant is "popping down the pub for a pint". Euphamisms ftw.
T4RG4
heh I'd love to see a photo of the testing room (if there is a dedicated room). We'd either see loads of machines, some old, some new and loads of gfx cards all over the place or three shiny new dells with exactly the same spec What I'd really like to see would be the patches released 24hrs early for anyone/a select group to test the actual patches. I can understand their reasons for not doing it with the full game, but with the patches they could.
VonBlade
I'd bet my ability to spawn offspring on the fact it'll be three shiny Dells. As for your second point that'd never work. People will find issues, SI will withhold the patch, then the forum would be beseiged by people saying "I don't care just release it". Ho hum. Maystor
I also have a X1950pro and have the same issue. Running Vista with SP1. It was fine pre 9.2.0.
T4RG4
Updated drivers and Direct X? Long shot but have to ask
Indi75
Yeah, all set to max.Incidentally, I'm not using CCC just the actual drivers. I'd add that the only time I get any jitter in matches is when using WMP11 or Zune 3.1, quite simply FM seems to multithread worse than I multitask, but apart from that graphics are fine. Update. It's there now, and I have no idea what's changed.
