Once your download is ready to begin, save it somewhere - e.g. Documents > Sports Interactive > FM2008 > Make a new folder entitled Patches. 3. Once downloaded, use winrar to extract the files in the Patches folder you made (winrar is available for free download here, top link I think. I think it is already present on Windows Vista). 4. Open the patch and install. 5. Load up FM and 8.0.2 should be present. I think this is displayed as 8.02 118048 (m.e v665) in the game status screen, though someone else should be able to confirm this. I downloaded and installed it and now i can't load any of my previous games or start a new one. Every time i go to load anything i gat a message - "unable to load database" And that is any database, not just the 8.02 patch!!!!! For some strange reason, I wasn't aware of 8.0.1 so was still playing with v8.0, and just wondering if 8.0.2 would backport the 8.0.1 changes too. Every time I install it, it comes up with the message at the end "unable to install as file is being used by another process". All the data is in the program file in the updates section, and I can access, change and save the database, but when I load the game up it's still version 8.0.0. If I save the databaseas "default" and paste it over the default database in the file will I be able to "trick" the game? If someone can give me some advise i'd really appreciate it. MLS rules for 2008 allow for 8 international players, as opposed to the previous rule with 4 senior internationals and 3 youth internationals. This would be fine, except that the 8.0.2. update has teams with more than 4 senior internationals (since they're going by 2008 rules), and they're forced to cut some of their new signings.
