He's one of those players who has long runs of greatness, then long runs of crapness. He was great for a couple of years, until sometime in Rio's ban, when he reverted to being the error prone misfit he'd been when he first arrived. He was awful through Euro 2004, and carried that on into last season. The when Rio first came back, he was a changed man again almost overnight. Don't forget, up until about March, our defensive record was fantastic.

But now he's reverted again to a player who makes Rio look like a model of solidity and concentration. I seriously don't know how he's kept his place ahead of Wes this long. I's possibly still give him a chance at left back even when O'Shea's fit, but only because i think O'Shea is the only defender who can rival him for ineptitude this season, and even he looked like he was getting back to some sort of form for 2-3 games until Benfica.

We seem to be averaging about one new random weirdo poster every two days or so, at the moment. So I'm sure it won't be long till we catch up.

We're not bitterly divided over who should play in the team either. We're pretty much in agreement that everyone is crap atm. icon_frown.gif

Sam Allardyce – A top manager in the making IMO. Yes most people will question the physical nature of the football Bolton play, but he’s made a regional side very competitive and functional, but there is nothing to suggest that given a bigger stage he wouldn’t have the capacity to change his footballing philosophy to more of a Manchester United standard. Also has shown the capacity to deal with players better than many other managers, I don’t care that the likes of Okocha, Hierro and Djorkaeff are past their peak and looking for a club, they’ve still got big player personalities and he got them to Bolton. Well, my first roundup mention, I may just shed a tear of joy at the recognition - even if it was based on one met with derision by the majority of people - where's Teddy9899 to back me up when it comes to Allardyce I ask? I know I've seen some posts from him in the past supporting him.

A bit skewed mind you - the likes of Hiddink and Cappello were in my managerial candidacy list, but I get flamed for identifying a wide range of options. icon_frown.gif
