Ekstraklasa

A great month in the league. 3 games won with 3 goals to nothing. Rakow draw away is always nice, but a big win against Slask is particularly great. They did get red card early though and also it looks like they are crumbling right at the end of the season as they have lost all the advantage they had. 
With 4 games left we are guaranteed 4th place what means Europa Conference League, but we are still only 5 points behind 1st, so we are still playing for everything.

This was expected but still, a draw against Juve at home with full stadium is great achievement. 

 

U19s. 

Our U19s, have been sensational this season.

Perfect last month of the season, only 2 goals conceded with 11 scored in 4 games. Win aganst Pogon was a definitly a highlight. We really did push it this month, and we ended up 1 point behind 1st place.

S16 - Season review  

Ekstraklasa 

 Great season overall, with difficult start but really strong finish. We were really close to winning the league, I feel like this is still very very far away.

We scored 77 goals this season, which means we scored over 2 goals per game on average, this is also 16 goals more then the next highest scoring team. 

Slask bottled it in the end and finished even behind us, where as Pogon retain the title for another year. 
Wisla Plock and Piast go straight back down after only a single season in top flight along with Warta Poznan after 2 seasons in top flight. 

 

 

 

Polish FA Cup 

 Pogon are really good nowadays and they easily KOed us in QF, they also ended up winning the CUP and Super CUP at the beginning of the season to complete a treble.

 

UEFA Europa League 

Expectedly being KOed in playoffs, this however was a driver to our european success. 

 

UEFA Europa Conference League 

We went above expectations and managed to go right to QF where we met Juventus again, The run however to get there was great, but also lucky due to draws we have got.

I usually don't check them often, 
From a few that have been poached, there is only one stand out, which is Maciej Budnik but although he is amazing and would definitely jump into our starting line up, and even if we might just have the funds, he does not want to join us. All in all however yes, I would be considering getting back poached players, we just need to have more stable bank balance and higher reputation.

S17 - Season Preview

 

We are expected to finish 13th, this is improvement comparing to recent years. We should be able to finish mid table. We are now in top 10 reputation of clubs in the country. 

 

 

Transfers

This is a very busy transfer window. Firstly with board trying to sell Przybyszewski(12b) behind my back and then Gornik Leczna unsettling half of my players who want to join them. 

 

Board wanted to sell him form 1.5M, I added 1 M on the top plus % of next sale. 

 

Sowinski(12e)* well Gornik met his release clause unfortunately. He is one of the players that I didn't have optional extension at the beginning and needed to re-sign his contract. 

 

Bialek(12b)* started to stagnate a bit. The move is purely so that we can drop a young player in one of the starting line ups. 

 

Kowalski(13l) is another one that was unsettled by Gornik, they pay quite a bit for him plus the % of next sale. We will be dropping another young player to fill his boots.

2 wins and a draw to start the season is not too bad. Our second team played against LKS and we are missing quite a lot of quality there at the moment

We have done suprisingly well, given the fact that we are playing some 15 year olds. Particularly good thing is that we didn't fed the points into Slask and Pogon what can give us an edge alter on in the season. 

After first couple months we are joined top with Widzew (They went to ECL final last season losing to Juve) 

 

UEFA Europa League

We entered the competition in playoff stage and got a weaker opponent then last time. 2 wins and we are through to league phase, but what a league phase this will be...

Really difficult run of games is awaiting us, I am hoping that we can put a fight in first 3 games, but later on I think it will be series of disappointments.

Not the best results in the league, 2 points our of 9 available. Our 2nd team is hindered by many leavers so we lack of abilities in that part. We dropped to 6th place as things stand. 

 

UEFA Europa League

2 narrow wins in Europa League, give us some hope, I played the first team in these games in attempt to get some money.  I don't have much hopes for the remainder of the games. 

 

Internationals 

First Cap to Senior NT from our team ! Such an achievement this is for me ! Albeit he has already been sold but is still with us until the end of the season. 

 

Finances 

 

 

We have some money in the bank now, I will hold of with upgrades as I don't want the board to sell more of our players.

we managed to turn things around this month after not so great September. Narrow win against underperforming Lech, then we smashed Legia in very one sided game and managed to squeeze past high flying Widzew. Rakow ends our run with a narrow win. 

With the better month we managed to bump up to 3rd, Widzew and Rakow leading the pack. 

 

Polish FA Cup

We started the competition in 2nd round. Really confident win against 1st Division(2nd Tier) Sandecja and we will play Ruch Chorzow next, who are also in division below.

 

UEFA Europa League

Good win against Antwerp makes us go 3rd in the league phase, However now we will face much more difficult opponents

 

Player Development in Ekstraklasa

I didn't show this before, however we are currently 3rd in this ranking pretty much because we have 2 full 11s of our products. But Legia is very much still running the things in Ekstraklasa in terms of development. It will be difficult to overcome these numbers.

Except Radomiak result which we should have won, a decent month. We are still in touch with the top 2, but behind is it is really tight, 5 points gap between us and 8th.

Ekstraklasa

Not a bad month in the league despite only 2 games . A draw against LKS is pretty good, giving that they are doing really well this season. We got quite lucky with a win against struggling Gornik. 

We go into the break in 3rd place trailing Widzew by 5 points and 4 points above LKS. Elsewhere Arka is having a nightmare season getting only 1 point from 19 games. 

 

UEFA Europa League

We managed to pull a win against Atalanta ! a bit of FMing happened there as we scored in the last minute to guarantee us 3 points. We are in 11th at the moment in the League phase. 6 points above 25th place, with Juventus and Dinamo games in January we only need to get 1 point to advance to KO stages.

UEFA Europa League

First time I update in January in this save   After a thrashing by Juve we managed to pull ourselves together and beat Dinamo Zagreb to guarantee a spot in the playoffs ! Such a success to the club. 

 

 

Finances

Balance remains healthy for now. We don't have any upgrades scheduled yet as I want to have a bit of money before we ask again. 

 

Transfers
There is a big battle for Kwiatkowski(14c) at the moment. I feel like I might not be able to stop him go. Board accepted £8.5M offer from Inter but my protests were helpful and they changed their mind. Since we declined an offer of £10M. I would not want to lose him as he can become a real star in this club.

Very good month in the league, We managed to confidently beat teams from lower half of the table and get a draw against Slask who are fighting for European places. We seem to have pulled a gap from 4th place, and are only 2 points behind Widzew

 

Polish FA Cup

We have confidently beaten Zaglebie Sosnowiec and it looks like the gates for another cup win are open. We play the only other Ekstraklasa team left Gornik, who so far do not have the best season. In other Semi final the two teams are in First Division so I do fancy our chance to clinch another cup win. 

 

UEFA Europa League

Our second team managed to go past Sturm Graz, and now we have been drawn against Olympique Lyon, and I think this will end our participation in this years Europa League

We lost against Pogon, who were 7 points behind us at a time, we however had more chances in that game. We then absolutely destroyed KGHM Zaglebie Lubin who only won a single game this season. Further two more wins and we move up to 2nd as Rakow and Widzew both lost their games in Round 27. 
7 games left, and everything is still possible for us.

As expected, We were too weak against OL. 

 

U19s. 

Our U19s, are destroying the U19 league with 5th consecutive title coming their way.

Tough run of games this month apart from Lech game. Shame with a loss against Legia as we managed to pull decent results against Widzew and Rakow.  We have 3 games left against teams from 12th 13th and 14th place. and we trail Widzew by 4 points.

S17 - Season Review

Ekstraklasa 

Wow, what a season this was. However not a lot of points were required for winning this season. To compare, last season we managed to get 73 points and only finished 3rd. In the end it was really close between top 4 teams with any of them could have won the title in the run in. 

In other news, Arka go straight down do First Division along with KGHM Zaglebie and Gornik Zabrze. 

 

 

Polish FA Cup 

Really happy with another cup win, however we were really lucky that we had a pretty easy journey, with only Gornik being Ekstraklasa team we played. Nonetheless cup win is a cup win ! 

 

 

UEFA Europa League 
I can't say that I am not happy with the results in Europa League. We won the games that we could have won and lost the games we probably should have lost except pulling a decent result against Atalanta in groups.

Hmm, I don't think that anything crazy has happened yet, but lets take a look. New season has ticked over now so positions are without any games played.

Nothing really stands out over here but starting from the top. 

Gornik Leczna had a tycoon takeover few seasons ago and despite starting only a league below there are on an upward trend. 

 

Sandecja Nowy Sacz started the save in Second Division (3rd Tier) and after 17 seasons this is the first time they managed to get promoted to top tier. if anyone knows some polish players, they will be interested to know that Bartosz Kapustka is their manager lol He is an ex Legia player.

 

Stal Mielec is an interesting one, They started the save in Ekstraklasa and over the 17 seasons they did get relegated right down to Third Division (4th tier) and they managed to get back up to Ekstraklasa in the last few seasons. 

 

Warta Poznan did become a yo-yo club 

 

 

 

 

Polish First Division

 

Most of those teams in this league spent the save either in Ekstraklasa/First Division or First Division/Second Division However one of them stands out. 

Stal Stalowa Wola started the save in Second Division(3rd TIer) and got relegated to 4th Tier straight after, They spend decent amount of seasons on that level to then push through to First Division (2nd tier) 

 

 

 

 

 

Polish Second Division

 

 

A lot of these teams have been either at 1st Div or 3rd Div at the start of the save. The likes of Bruk-Bet Termalica, Chrobry Glogow, Puszcza Niepolomice and Wieczysta Krakow managed to get at least 1 season in top flight due the course of the save. 

Korona KIelce is on a decline since getting relegated from top tier

 

Wieczysta Krakow started the save in 4th tier and managed to get to Ekstraklasa to then decline. 

 

 

 

 

 

Polish Third Divisions

Out of these it is only worth noting the declines of: 

Chojniczanka Chojnice, They even managed to reach Ekstraklasa during the save but now the are in 4th Tier 

 

Podbeskidzie Bielsko Biala, they are on constant decline. 

 

Resovia Rzeszow, started off in First DIvision and now finds themselves stuck in 4th tier.

Thanks, so seems like no extraordinary outcomes. That Stal Mielec rollercoaster looks kinda wild though, could be a nice challenge to take them around 29/30 season to do a rebuild. I was expecting better results for Wieczysta due to their financial ability but looks like money can't buy you glory.

I'm glad to see my hometown Stal Stalowa Wola finally doing good after years of drought, being stuck in 3rd division for so long feels painful, but I saw they got to Polish Cup semi final so I assume their squad is fairly strong now

I was also expecting Wieczysta to do better however their current owner Wojciech Kwiecien left in 2026 when they got relegated back to Second Division 

 

Yes, Stal did really well in the last season in the cup. This however was only their second time that they went past the first round 

They didn't get any tycoon takeover or anything that would explain their recent rise up the leagues. They did however have Lukasz Piszczek as their manager for almost 12 seasons though. 

Also with the rise however their finances are declining, what is the biggest problem in Polish football.

S18 - Season Preview

We are nowhere near title fight in the odds, which is good for low pressure. We can, but we don't have to. I am not convinced that we will be able to pull this off again.

Really good month in the league, I find draws against Rakow and Widzew on par of a win, as they are top teams in the legaue. 

After first 2 months we are 2nd with 14 points. Lech is coming back to live I see and they are sitting 4th. Not a great start for Rakow and Pogon who hang around mid table.

Will be lucky if we get any points here lol

Not big deals, bigger ones are coming I think, but on both we saved ourselves % of next sale.

Great month for us. Narrow win against Pogon at home is the highlight of the month. As well as a draw against Sandecja which we should have beaten.
10 games in and we are 2nd, what is not too bad at all. Lech seems like got their stuff together.

Slovan Bratislaba was probably one of the teams that we had biggest chances of beating when we got the schedule.

Our form dropped off a bit this month. Loss to Motor hurts, we had 26 shots to their 9 , we scored 0 and them 3... FMing in its entirety. 

Lech is running away with it, and we next 3 teams are battling for 2nd at the moment. 

 

UEFA Champions League

Well, this was expected, but we made it a lot harder for them. We scored first in 11th minute, Liverpool equalised in 12th minute. After we were never in front...

After spanking Lech at home, we then lose to Slask and salvage a draw against Radomiak. the difference here was that our second team played against Slask and Radomiak which is much weaker. 

 

UEFA Champions League

Expected result against Atletico, I fielded 2nd team there. However our 1st team managed to confidently beat Dinamo,  We are still holding up with KO places, however realistically I don't think we are going to make it. 

 

Polish FA Cup

Narrow win against Wieczysta, Next round we play against Pogon, in tough encounter.
