Welcome to Wales, after a little adventure on FM22, I decided to return to this country, more precisely to the C.P.D. Y Rhyl 1879.
They are the phoenix club, established following Rhyl FC's formal dissolution in order to continue their history born in 1878 (according to some websites).Rhyl FC's history was grand with the following national trophies:

Welsh Premier League: 2003-04, 2008-09;
Welsh Cup: 1951-52, 1952-53, 2003-04, 2005-06;
Welsh League Cup: 2002-03, 2003-04;

The challenge is to at least equal this record...using the Youth

@darren1983 - Sorry to tag you, but do we have a list of available nations to try the challenge in? At least two leagues with relegation in the bottom league is the criteria right?

Just wondering if we had a list anywhere that I may be missing. I thought it may have been the hidden table in the first post with the completed countries etc, but realized some of them aren't available for the challenge. Then thought it may be the countries listed.

If not maybe we can crowd source one :)

Mostly as I am thinking about my next save in Africa, North or South America and would like to try a league that hasn't been done, if any are left....

Sorry for late reply as been away on a stag party since Friday and only got home late last night so only just seen this. There's no complete list no, closest we have is the league reset date list in the OP. If people want to compile a list then I'll happily add it to the OP though.

Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 25 - Japan J1 League - Mid Season Review & Youth Intake Preview

League

For the first time we were predicted to finish above the relegation places......so how did we do?

image.thumb.png.aca0ba5f60d0a0e121c7e7d947bf48e4.png

We have been doing well again. Always in and around the top 6. Hopefully we can make a real title challenge this year, BUT Yokohama F-M are looking very impressive indeed, with an 8 point lead over 2nd and a 12 point lead over us currently.

image.thumb.png.2705b40eade81980f96a203eea66e55b.png

Tetsushi Yamauchi (YP20E) was our latest defender to get his head turned by a 'bigger' club. So he went off for 4.5Million and 50% of next sale.

image.thumb.png.a691eb101d9cf44ee0b0e92bd332cd89.png

Youth Intake Preview

We got a preview that is only salvaged by that solitary A rating. Hopefully that Striker will be good enough to make this a worthwhile intake.

image.thumb.png.a0096b65b0362e320d632474204e6922.png

TAKEOVER!!!!

Less exciting than the title. We have got taken over, but nothing really changed. No new upgrades, no youth facilities upgrade available etc.

Season 6 2029/30 - Macclesfield FC - VNLN

How much better is this game when you're winning and winning well!  Yes yes i know its just the VNL North but can be said for any league.

Going into the season, I knew it had to be a big one as I had 3 developed players all in the starting lineup that would not sign on past this year and after making playoffs last year, it was a great chance to give this league a shake. We hit the blocks running winning the 10 of the first 12 games with the other 2 draws. We then had an absolute disastrous October getting 1 point in 6 games and put us back down the pack.  We then went on a 17 wins 3 loss record which put us 1st with 9 games left. At that point we were dealing with some longer term injuries and hence discovered a player or two from our youth that played a role but inevitably, we lost momentum and finished off in 3rd on goal difference. Two straight forward 2 - 0 wins followed in the play off semi final and final to win promotion back to the VNL proper.

Screenshot2024-04-03153943.thumb.png.42e2fc87d1ed545e9cb46774742c1a62.png

Only the one improvement this year and that was to our training facilities which cost us 1.8m.  We're still making profits each month which is fantastic, hopefully we decide to expand the stadium a little upon promotion as we are almost filling up our 5,907 capacity up each week.

Spoiler

We also had our very first international player from none other than.....   Uganda!!!   Not our greatest player, but best of a bad bunch at left back

Youth Preview

This did not fill me up with optimism

Youth Intake

Screenshot2024-04-03120548.thumb.png.8a9354494403165527d5622795abac17.png

Luke Harvey 30A looks like a little aggressive workhorse in the middle with good technique. Instantly becomes our best penalty taker

Screenshot2024-04-03121132.thumb.png.5d2c09cb3e2aee8feddaaed4c8bbc639.png

Livesey Arestidou 30B is the one I'm probably more excited about. Has really good physicals, great touch and technique and can put the ball away. Decent personality but if only he knew where to stand on the field with his 1 positioning (like seriously, he sometimes can be seen ordering hot food when we're about to kick off)

Screenshot2024-04-03121154.thumb.png.25000e1ec109ab6a072d54f18182e81d.png

Renaldo Elvin 30C is seriously versatile, not sure what to make of him but there could be a player there somewhere, just dont know where

Season 89 - 2111/12 - PL

First season back in the PL.

And we have stayed up by one point, the lowest on record to stay up.

image.png.4f29b5fc2b40487331297edb8ceae8c5.png

We were actually doing well, 13th going into March with 10 games to go and then the dreaded run came

image.png.5f2b113d67a009753bc86ab7ceb2d16d.png

And we went into the last two games 18th

I made a tweek with the tactics with attacking and highest tempo and we beat West Ham 3-0 and drew with Man City 0-0

The last game we needed to beat whatever Maidstone did, they lost 3-0 at Arsenal

Douglas Athletic 2025-26 Season Review

DouglasAthleticF.C.gif

League Table

image.thumb.png.da5642f00531e2c3e00271fb35c30ed1.png

Promotion!! We had an insanely strong campaign, going unbeaten until the new year. A collapse in form at the end of the season put things in jeopardy, but a strong finish saw us clinch a deserved promotion. In the FA Cup, we narrowly lost on penalties to Peel, the strongest team in the nation, a pretty strong showing all things considered.

Transfers:

image.thumb.png.945c17c6013f90a4759a763d48e82a6d.png

No players transferred, but a tonne of deadwood released to thin out the squad and reserves.

Facilities/Coaching:

image.thumb.png.dbcd8bd5b7f969972e51fa73ffb1acca.png

We managed to get another junior coaching upgrade through, taking our level to Adequate. Still no budging on the youth recruitment from my board though.

Youth Intake:

image.thumb.png.42040169522b0cc896590be341219466.png

image.thumb.png.9aab851e840f0eacf45a66fd24cc33f2.png

Now this is an intake! Although nearly all of the players were rated 5 star CA when the intake came out, when I signed them to contracts most dropped to around 2-3 star. Still, this is a massive injection of quality into my squad, with multiple players going straight into the first time. We've got some amazing personalities too!

Intake Standouts:

#1 | Kevin Pickford (RM)

image.thumb.png.e680b28609042c9232c92b33e20f8d91.png

Easily coming in as the standout of my entire team, Pickford looks an exceptional winger in Manx standards. His pace is solid and his mentals and technicals are very well-rounded. He's definitely a Premier League winger at this stage already, if he has room to grow he could be a permanent team member for a while yet.

#2 | Mick Murray (RB)

image.thumb.png.c508d0d58f5ed7cd8c484fd3da3ab792.png

Another exceptionally well-rounded player, Murray helps us in one of the few positions I felt weak. There's really nothing to complain about him, he's similarly well-rounded and can hopefully only improve from here.

#3 | Bobby O'Donnell (LW)

image.thumb.png.efc667de727ce980853b8ca8b66ad691.png

Pacey wingers are hard to come by in the Isle of Man, so having someone come through with the stats of O'Donnell is a huge boon. Though he's slightly lacking in other areas, having a threat like him will definitely add goals and assists to the team.

Next Season's Thoughts:

The improvements to the squad from our intake were much needed as we claimed promotion, as there are some tough teams in the Premier League. Peel are extremely close to going fully professional, and are starting to filter players from England into the league, causing all teams to get stronger. I don't think we have the quality to dethrone these top teams, but I'm hoping we can sneak a high finish and maybe even a decent cup run.

Afrika Reykjavik (Iceland) - Season 18 (2041) - FM24

Domestic and Continental Performances

In the domestic league, the Besta deild karla, Afrika Reykjavik put up a strong performance, securing a commendable 2nd place finish with 54 points. This achievement propelled them to qualify for the Europa Conference League for the third consecutive season. The league, which ranks 39th among all football divisions in Europe, saw Afrika rise three places in club reputation, ending the season as the 5th highest ranked team in Iceland with a 2.5-star national reputation.

image.png.75f0e3b1332fb0f8182b59dd1a64c3d0.png

Their journey in the domestic cup, Mjólkurbikarinn, ended in a thrilling yet heart breaking defeat in the final against HK. Despite trailing 4-0 at halftime, Afrika displayed tremendous resilience, narrowing the gap to 3-4 by the final whistle (while also missing a penalty). Unfortunately, they fell short, allowing HK to clinch their first Iceland Cup victory.

image.png.f826cc800093198a07545d275b10f8ac.png

In terms of continental competitions, Afrika competed in the UEFA Europa Conference League, navigating through the league phase. Though they managed a victory and a draw in their four group stage matches, they couldn't progress further. Nevertheless, their European campaign contributed significantly to their financial health, boosting their balance by over £3 million.

Finances

Afrika Reykjavik's financial position saw a significant boost, with their balance reaching £1.6 million, marking an increase of over £3 million. This surge can be attributed to their successful European campaign, underlining the importance of continental competitions in enhancing the club's financial stability.

In the UEFA Champions League, Manchester United emerged victorious, defeating Chelsea 2-1 in the final. This marked their 5th triumph in the prestigious competition. Additionally, across Europe, the national titles were clinched by Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Bayern Munich, and PSG in the English Premier League, Spanish First Division, Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga, and French First Division, respectively.

After a short break, i am back at it. I started playing CM and fell in love with the game in the glory period of the Serie A in Italy. So a tribute to the league as i am starting here.

I searched the editor and found an absolute gem in Eccelenza Tuscany group B... a lot of top players played here in the glory period of the club.  I holidayed two seasons and there they were...

They have a small squad so i will be forced to be using youth players rather early in the save game.

Livorno 1915 Season 1 End of Season Report

A very solid first season which started off very badly but became better the longer the season continued despite a little stumble in form in the last few games of the season.

Serie C/B - League Table

We started off the season with 1 point in our first 7 games and things were looking very bad. However we steadied things and looked better over the next few months and I started to think that we might be able to scramble out of the playout stops. However a brilliant February and a good March saw us fly up the table to get as high as 10th, a play off spot. However we stumbled a bit in the last 5 games of the season only managing 3 draws and losing to the top two teams to fall to 13th. I am still very happy with the season overall, I really don't think we would have done anything in the playoffs even if we had scraped in in 10th position.

Serie C Cup

The managed my first win under my control as we beat Entella in the First Round but we lost in the 2nd round.

Youth Intake - Players 1 Players 2

The intake was decribed as excellent but I feel that is a bit too high a rating given there was only one elite talent. That player Miko Formichi looks like he will be a very good player, I have already given his his debut and I am sure he will get lots of game time next season. There are some other reasonable prospects among the intake but probably not ready to play for the first team yet.

Rein Meer AKA ReinBerg - Season 25 - Japan J1 League - End of Season Review & Youth Intake

League - 3rd

Our best finish yet. We didn't challenge for the top spot, as it was mostly a 2 horse race. However the top 4 here were so much better than the 'rest of the pack'. Hoping I can be part of this top 4 for the foreseeable future. What this does mean is CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!

image.thumb.png.c30db4934bb83e78ac2b160d206db75f.pngimage.thumb.png.ffb49b9b2273086ebf660b91efabe12a.png

The Squad

We kept a relatively similar first team to last year. Phil Cowley (YP18C) has been on loan at English clubs for the last 3-4 seasons, but was recalled due to the aforementioned sale of our best CB. Shun Tojo (YP21E) has bags of potential and claimed the starting LM spot and Daisuke Fukuoka (YP22C) has very quickly become our best striker and one of our best players, with 17 goals in 33 starts, chipping in with 7 assists and a 7.21 averaging rating. Not bad for his first year as a full time starter.

image.thumb.png.ba4a6e586dd433259b3cd6530e0d2d28.png

image.thumb.png.907515fff247f23826f203381248b755.png

Naoki Kato (YP06F) - Retires - Legend

Undoubtedly my favorite player of this save. Naoki Kato (YP06F) retires as our leading appearance maker, club captain and someone who played well in all three leagues!

image.thumb.png.990fbb13295bb1f58f44e926ce46c698.png

image.thumb.png.56dc633c07baf2734717b312908fd9eb.png

Youth Intake

We had been promised a good striker and not much else and that is actually what we got. Except it turns out we have two very good strikers. Everyone else looks pretty poor, but some of it is a sign that we have good players throughout the first team, reserves and U18s.

image.thumb.png.cc5a8e4a703807a262261ab3cffc1687.png

Top 3 - Youth Intake 25

Fumiya Uchida (YP25A)

A very good looking young striker. He can't jump to save his life, but that combination of Finishing, Technique, First Touch and Composure is great at 16 years old. Could be a special player if he reaches his potential.

image.thumb.png.f41497fedfedaa0b944d01b8d841c030.png

Takayuki Ohara (YP25B)

Another good looking striker. Has a longer way to go than Uchida, but has a much better personality and is quite a bit younger. His physicals need the most amount of work, but at 15 he has plenty of time to improve those.

image.thumb.png.7929330e73bf5c4f70aa0e5189294122.png

Kenzo Kumagai (YP25C)

Our CB Factory just keeps on producing. Another raw, but talented CB. We have so many now that my loan page is mostly just CBs with potential out on loan. His potential is currently not looking great, but I have had a few 2-3 star potentials (by coach report) that have gone on to start for me and I like the look of young Kenzo.

I don't think it is a bug so much as a rather annoying feature. I am on year 26 in my save and haven't been able to max out as it VERY rarely comes up for me.

I am only at adequate youth facilities and have 30 mil in the bank :(

Halfway season 2025/2026 with Campobasso, and life is good in southern Italy! We are 8 points clear, so hopefully we can continue our good form. We won our last 8 league matches! So yeah, I don't see any reason why we can't continue this. We also figured in the Coppa Italia for the first time, but we lost against Ascoli.
The Serie C Cup is not important for me, and for our board neither. So I always play with backup players and youngsters in these matches. So it's not strange that we lost against Foggia.

We also got a new youth intake preview from my HoYD Toni Savevski, and according to him it will be a Golden Intake. Let's hope so!

Rein Meer AKA Reinberg - Season 26 - Japan J1 League - Mid Season Review & Youth Intake Preview

League

We are once again battling near the top at the half way point of the season. We are the top scorers in the league and we have firmly established ourselves as one of the best teams across Japan.

image.thumb.png.3c59f6abd062498e06b9786e1593fcc9.png

Record Sale - Goodbye Yosuke Tanaka

We don't need the money (with 25 mil in the bank) so this one hurts a bit. I did at least manager to convince them that the transfer should go through at the end of the Dutch season (half way through our season). He had his head turned and when 'big' European clubs come in for players, they get unhappy fast. Luckily his under study is a good replacement, a step down for sure, but not a HUGE step down and he has potential to improve (5*s)

The rise of Daisuke Fukuoka (YP22C)

Also Daisuke Fukuoka (YP22C) who only entered the first team mid way through last year, is now one of the best strikers in the league. A star player and performing better than anyone in attacking statistics.

image.thumb.png.a9e24ab2db027b042d176b371d41972a.png

Youth Intake Preview

Another bad preview. Has Hirotada Asato used all of his luck, or have all of his connections gone dry? Not sure how much longer he can stay if he keeps giving us poor intakes.

Good evening Everyone, I know it is very late but...

I have been a long time lurker of the thread but never actually gave the challenge a go but today I change this I have decided to start in Romania as it seems no one has yet completed the challenge with this country, here is my team and my manager wish me luck.

Finally just wanted to point out that the board did make a signing but I will not be using the player and will try to sell him as soon as he steps foot in the Training Centre.

I severely underestimated this challenge I have been sacked after just 3 months due to dressing room atmosphere being in the garbage the player the board sign raised a fuss and even though he was a new signing he had most of the dressing room at his side which meant everyone was unhappy and I could never recover added to the fact half the squad wanted to leave.

However I may have failed but will definitely will be trying this again.

Lots of new people starting the challenge recently

Great to see

Good luck all :lock:

I have started one with FC United of Manchester. Decent enough first season without being spectacular, finished mid table after going 8 games without a win to start the campaign (lack of a goalie really costing me as would have been 4th based on xG table).

Made a better start to season 2 and in the play-off positions after 10 games. Will post a more detailed update when I get the chance.

This season felt like the best so far but then something hit us and I dont know how to handle this... We started with 20 matches unbeaten when desaster hits. It looked like my players forgot how to play the came... simple passes were constantly missplayed my defencedid nothing and the four strikers in my squad forgot how to score... my two first choice strikers went 11 and 10 hour goalless - its some sortof anoying right now... how do you handle phases like this? We play a simple 4-4-2 with wingbacks and one mezzala. I hoped for a rank one finish in winter but now we have to be happy if we make it to the play offs... Oh and im running out of Waterbottles...

End-of-Season Review

Season 2036/37

Le Puy

Season Summary- This season was by far the best so far, with us ending 1st in the XG table. But our reality wasn't as nice as the XG table, we ended up 6th. Missing the promotion playoffs by 2 points. By far our biggest problem was the fact that we conceded too many goals. In both goals conceded and clean sheets kept, we ended up 2nd last. This is despite the fact we should have only finished 7th in terms of goals conceded. I believe that the high amount of goals conceded might be due to a rather slow defense while having a high press, as well as the fact that our goalkeeper is below par and underperforming. The issue with the goalkeeper is that our backup keeper is worse in every aspect except shot-stopping, and our young keeper with potential is also a long way off.

Transfers- Wasn't planning on selling anyone until the board accepted an offer of 1.7 million for Zounon. He had become a starter after being out on loan last season.

Screenshot2024-04-02222835.png.cd105a1463e5afd3d14799292f97ff20.png

Youth Candidates- This wasn't as good as it looked in December. It also promised a lot better midfielders than the ones we got, our best midfielder was nearly not signed due to bad scouting (in my opinion). The best player in this intake is the LB Maxime Carrere. He is already the second-best LB in the squad and has the potential to become our starter.

Key Players

POTS-  Andreas Kruger was the surprising winner of our player of the season. After playing a smaller role this season, he only scored 10 and assisted 5 in the league.

Screenshot2024-04-04233901.thumb.png.3c534791e2a8237bd812c9bbf3e3a912.png

YPOTY-  Houssem Omrani was our top scorer and young player of the year. Scoring 15 goals and assisting 1 in the league. He started slowly, taking a while to score but ended up 4th overall in the  league

Best new youngster- For the first part of the season it didn't look like any of the youngsters from last season's intake were going to become part of the squad until Zounon was transferred and we decided to promote Mouhamadou Diaw. He played 10 games mostly playing as the RW.

Season 7 2030/31 - Macclesfield FC - VNL

Had a bit of a boost towards end of last season that Cieran Walsh 27A who was still upset about being relegated the year before and refused to open up contract talks approached me saying he felt he was being underpaid, so I signed him up quick and proper.

Season opened up with 4 losses and 2 wins which is how i expected life in the VNL would go but over Nov and Dec we won 10 out of 12 games to sit as high as fourth.  We remained in the play off spots for the remainder of the season and with 2 games to go, still had a mathematical chance of clinching the title from 3rd spot.  We dropped a home game against Boreham Wood 3 - 2 which cost us avoiding to play in the playoff first round which would eventually be our last game of the season as we lost to Dulwich Hamlet at home 2 - 1.

Screenshot2024-04-04162956.thumb.png.d06a74a31a54c1173519f32d14aac819.png

We had another international and this time it was from.... Angola! Pretty cool that we have two African internationals in my defence, but would love to replace them both in the starting XI.

Screenshot2024-04-04115506.thumb.png.0e3909a9b76593373980b0f7e76e6265.png

Managed to get two coaching courses approved which will get me to Cont A once complete.  We also had enough cash to upgrade our training facilities which will complete next season and move us from Good which i think goes to Great next.

Spoiler

A big shout out has to go to Peter O'Brien 27P who was an absolute beast this year winning the top goalscorer and POTS awards playing in right wing, scoring 33 goals in 42 starts and chipping in with 11 assists as well.  This is a player that was rated the worst of the intake

Youth Preview

Im in desperate need in defenders and didnt look like I'd score any this year with the preview not showing much depth.

Screenshot2024-04-04123653.thumb.png.89960544675ab7d9ac01694ed31d31e2.png

Youth Intake

The preview was right that it wasnt a deep talent pool, but the best talents are really good with great personalities!

Screenshot2024-04-04151351.thumb.png.a2596ed026e254b985cc2d8c1c864e0c.png

Colin Hay 31A looks a proper talent at only 15yo. Technically gifted but at this level but is matched with good determination and leadership qualities. Made his starting debut in the Mezzala role which didnt suit but once played behind the striker, scored in each of his last 4 game include the playoff becoming the youngest ever goalscorer for our club.

Screenshot2024-04-04151405.thumb.png.1aecd97b2c60df7b8724cd5dcd9af953.png

Cornelius Blackett 31B comes in and is pretty much our best option as our box to box midfielder. Strong, aggressive and tough tackling is whats needed in front of a toothless defence right now. Had 7 starts for a rating of 7.21 and chipped in with 3 assists.

Screenshot2024-04-04151422.thumb.png.f2b21d1a133d44d08d982a9939e1dddb.png

Leighton Truffas 31C is an absolute bonus from a preview that didnt have any top defensive prospects. He will probably need a bit of time but could be the pick of the lot once he gets going.

Screenshot2024-04-04151435.thumb.png.98a41802497d01cd349594ec56b103f8.png

We're about to lose our Striker after just two years as I had completely forgot to add in 3 club extensions onto contracts (ive now done that to my youth players). I fought back offers all year in the hope we could get promoted then miraculously turned his head to sign but it hasnt happened.

LIvorno 1915 Season 2 Mid Season Report

Serie C/B - League Table

We started the season brilliantly to be top of the league after 5 games but inconsistent form since then has meant we are now 6th. This is a massive improvement on last season but I want more.

Serie C Cup

Just like last season we won in the first round before losing in the second round. Disappointed we could not go on a good cup run.

Best Players

Mirko Formichi (YP1A) - The star of my first intake has taken his place among my best XI and with 9 goals and 2 assists in 18 games has been excellent for me.

Felipe Curcio - The attacking wing back has been brilliant with his 3 goals and 9 assists and the highest average rating in the team.

Luis Henrique - My best forming striker with 10 goals and 4 assists

Guilo Giordani - On paper my best player and he has not disappointed with 8 goals and 3 assists. However I am going to lose him at the end of the season as he will not sign a new contract.

Youth Intake Preview - Preview

Called an excellent intake again but it looks a bit disappointing to me. I don't have an urgent need for a striker, really need a quality young goalkeeper as I think I am losing my first choice at the end of the season.

Livorno 1915 Season 2 Youth Intake - Players 1 Players 2

Called an excellent intake but certainly not again. One elite talent, Luigi Landi, a striker which means I am now a bit overrun with strikers. No talented goalkeeper that I really need. The best of the top talents is also a striker, Giacomo Barsottini. I also like the look of central midfielder Lorenzo Lucatti.

Livorno 1915 Season 2 End of Season Report

A much better season than the first season with lots of goals both scored and conceded.

Serie C/B - League Table

After our brilliant start we were on top after 5 rounds but the rest of the season showed we were not that good. We ended up in 8th position which qualified us for the Serie C Playoff. We ended up having the best attack in the league but also the 3rd worst defence.

Serie C Playoff

In the first round we drew Arezzo from Serie C/B who finished behind us in 9th place. We had beaten them in the league only a few games ago so I was confident we would win. However the game ended 0-0 with us going through as the higher seed.

In the second round we drew Potenza who had finished 4th in Serie C/C. It was a tight game but we ended losing 4-3 when they scored in the 96th minute. So ended our season

Best players - 2nd half of the season

In addition to the 4 players from the mid season report

Cedric Konan - This young player was at the club when I arrived and has done very well when he has played. He played more in the second half of the season due to injuries and loss of form of Mirko Formichi. Konan has model citizen personality.

Alpha Carmara - Our right back got better as the season went on and ended up having a brilliant season. Unfortunately he wants to move to a bigger club so I think I am going to lose him this summer. I have plenty of depth a RB so it will not be a massive blow.

Losing players

In addition Camara mentioned above I am going to struggle to keep my starting goalkeeper, my best centre back and my best attacking midfielder as they are coming out of contract and do not want to sign on again. This is going to put a lot of pressure on the squad and hopefully the younger players can stand up and play well. The big blow is probably going to be losing my goalkeeper as my back up is pretty bad and the two young goalkeepers I have are no where near good enough.

My Profile - Profile

Unfortunately the club board has not let me do any coaching badges because they do not want to loose me to a bigger club, a bit frustrating. Also all my requests to upgrade anything to do with getting better youth intakes has been rejected.

Kavala Football Club / Αθλητικός Όμιλος Καβάλα

Season 23 - 2046/47

Schedule / Squad / Transfers / Finances / Manager

Season Summary: The season kicked off with two super cups. As the Europa League champions, we faced Atlético Madrid in the European Super Cup. Although we managed to defeat them three years ago during the UCL league phase at the Metropolitano, this time we fell short against the reigning European champions, suffering a significant 3-0 loss.

Our next challenge came against Sudamericana winners, San Lorenzo from Argentina. We mirrored the previous super cup result, but this time triumphing over the South Americans with a 3-0 victory.

In the Champions League, we were drawn into a challenging group. Despite losses to Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter, and Galatasaray, we secured victories against Lyon, Salzburg, and Espanyol to advance to the knockout playoffs. Unfortunately, we were then defeated by Liverpool 6-2 at Anfield, following a goalless draw in Greece.

We finished 3rd in the regular phase and 2nd in the championship group of the greek league, earning us another shot at the UCL next season, though this time trailing by 10 points behind Olympiacos.

After 23 seasons, we've only clinched the league title twice and have yet to secure the Greek Cup title. This time we were defeated by Kallithea in the quarter-finals.

Greece has also slipped in the European rankings, losing two of the four UCL spots. Domestically, we continue to face challenges. Despite consistent European qualifications and now holding the second-highest reputation in Greece, we still encounter internal struggles. Olympiacos maintains a significant lead over the competition, while PAOK and AEK always prove to be strong opponents.

Our facilities rank among the best in the country with no room for improvement. Although our academy consistently produces quality players, the rising talents often seek transfers after a few years in pursuit of playing alongside better teammates.

Dimitris Tsoktouridis, 42c, claimed the European Golden Boy title, while Valon Hasani, 44e, was named the world's top wonderkid by NXGN 2027. Marios Thraskias, 43d, secured second place, with Babis Tasiopoulos, 45e, coming in 18th.

Marios Thraskias, 43d, also scooped up the best young player and best Greek player awards in the league. Alongside Dimitris Chatzigiannis, 36e, he was named to the Best Superleague XI, while I was honored with the Manager of the Year award.

At the end of the season, we'll say goodbye to a few important players in Kavala's history, that are now past their prime: Andreas Niniadis 25e, Christos Omiridis 30e and Gersi Kuqi 28h.

Youth intake: our youth team continues to showcase excellence, boasting a few exceptional talents from the latest intake, as Olsi Istrefi 47a, Ilias Giannikoglou 47b, Vasilis Papadopoulos 47cThodoros Bedrelis 47d and Thanasis Papapetrou 47e. With our youth squad dominating world football, the future looks bright, as long as we can keep the wonderkids with us...

Hi there. I'm not using any pack. I take a screenshot of all the players when the intake comes and use AI to generate a face based on the "original" regen from FM. I'm using artguru.ai to generate the faces and I create my own packs:

Season opened up with 4 losses and 2 wins which is how i expected life in the VNL would go but over Nov and Dec we won 10 out of 12 games to sit as high as fourth.  We remained in the play off spots for the remainder of the season and with 2 games to go, still had a mathematical chance of clinching the title from 3rd spot.  We dropped a home game against Boreham Wood 3 - 2 which cost us avoiding to play in the playoff first round which would eventually be our last game of the season as we lost to Dulwich Hamlet at home 2 - 1.

We had another international and this time it was from.... Angola! Pretty cool that we have two African internationals in my defence, but would love to replace them both in the starting XI.

Managed to get two coaching courses approved which will get me to Cont A once complete.  We also had enough cash to upgrade our training facilities which will complete next season and move us from Good which i think goes to Great next.

Youth Intake

The preview was right that it wasnt a deep talent pool, but the best talents are really good with great personalities!

Cornelius Blackett 31B comes in and is pretty much our best option as our box to box midfielder. Strong, aggressive and tough tackling is whats needed in front of a toothless defence right now. Had 7 starts for a rating of 7.21 and chipped in with 3 assists.

Leighton Truffas 31C is an absolute bonus from a preview that didnt have any top defensive prospects. He will probably need a bit of time but could be the pick of the lot once he gets going.

We're about to lose our Striker after just two years as I had completely forgot to add in 3 club extensions onto contracts (ive now done that to my youth players). I fought back offers all year in the hope we could get promoted then miraculously turned his head to sign but it hasnt happened.

What personality does your HOYD have?
You have a lot of young people unambitios. Luckily Cole Hay has a great personality.

Welsh Premier League: 2003-04, 2008-09;
Welsh Cup: 1951-52, 1952-53, 2003-04, 2005-06;
Welsh League Cup: 2002-03, 2003-04;

The challenge is to at least equal this record...using the Youth

This didnt end well :seagull:
