Do files transfer to new game?

Pretty much what the title says. Do the files/mods you have in editor file on FM23  carry over to FM24 or will they work on that game? Or do you have to wait for new files/updated files/

Depends what type of mods. Anything data-related should work, but new leagues, club and nations cups should be re-done in new fm to work 100%.

Yes!

You should fully test them and possibly make some changes (my international files needed quite a few tweaks to get working again after porting from FM22 to FM23), but they definitely can be transfered and used still.

They will probably need some rework, but seeing that people were able to use my FM20 files and get them to work in FM23, taking files from FM23 and get them to work in FM24 should be doable.

Definitely give it a once-over in the editor to review any new features, and test a few seasons to make sure it's pulling all the teams you think it should. That's if you don't get some errors with respect to number of teams straight away and have to go into the editor already
