Gareth Bale still active as a free agent

I've mentioned on here previously that, despite retiring from football in January this year, Gareth Bale is still an active player and free agent when starting a new FM save. 

 

I expected this to be  updated as part of the post-January transfer window release. 

Are there any plans to retire Bale in FM23 Mobile or will be play on forever?

He'll most likely be retired/non-player for next years game, the reason he was retained was a research decision based on the fact there were/are rumours of him coming back to play for Wrexham etc.
