Removing Cup Competitions

I would like to remove the Carabao cup, Super cup and Community Shield on the base game but whenever I remove them, they stay in the game? Is this a glitch, I'm sure in previous editions you could remove them.

You still can, I have removed plenty competition without issue. How do you remove them?

Making them extinct, removing nation, continent but they are still there.

In my experience, some competitions will only go away if you remove them completely.

Remove from the competition setup as well, and then delete them completely.

Tried deleting it and it's still there, I'm baffled.

So I managed to delete the Carabao Cup and Community Shield successfully but the European competitions became inactive?

Carabao Cup is a qualifier for the European Cups by any chance?

IMO this is the best way to remove competitions:

Just edit the rules for them and put an End Year prior to the game start date. No need to actually remove them from the database and potentially create any issues that way, just effectively make them a historic competition that's no longer played.

I've done it that way in the past with no issues.
