loertsy Posted March 12, 2023 Share Posted March 12, 2023 I was just wondering since I am struggling to use the editor, is it easier to make multiple divisions to be child competitions or to use just one division and try to set up groups for it? I'm trying to make like regional groups or sub divisions to multiple different new divisions. The hardest part for me seems to be setting up the promotion and relegation. I use both, I have a parent competition for that level, then a child competition per region and most of these have several groups for parallel competitions on that level and in that region. I have set up only child competitions and now my team I intended playing with plays both in the parent competition (right) that I thought would be basically empty and wouldn't have any games played in there since there aren't any teams marked in the parent division. Not quite working_verified.fmf 26.56 kB · 0 downloads It is as I thought, you do not need to set any stages in the parent competition. It should just be empty, you'll have to delete that 'stage 0 - ????' there. Just click on 'stages' and then 'clear', that should do the trick. Teams that are in the child competitions are automatically recognised as playing 'in' the parent competition, so no need to set that up. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think that the promotion/relegation from the first division "ykkönen" and second division should be working fine. (?). Also the best finnish division is the premier leagues and is "division zero" and the second best division is called the first division "ykkönen". I don't know how common this is :D. So now the promotion/relegation is not working on the second division and third division. So the 3th and 4th levels of play. I am trying to set up an relegation phase in the second division that 2 bottom teams from each group play 1 round and the worst four get relegated. And from the third divisions four "groups" or child competitions the best team from each one get promoted.
