Growing the commercial aspects of a club

Commercial activity in football is now bigger than ever. I'd like to be able to have options to grow your own clubs revenue.

Not necessarily by you doing it but influencing it - so say getting in a new commercial director from the retail world with high reputation and so on. Would also be nice to be more involved in the commerical deals avaialble in game, like huge new kit sponsors and so on.

I know this is a game about managing a football team but football is now bigger than ever and managers/coaches may not be too involved in commercial aspects but i think for FM, this could be improved and make parts of the game more immersive.

Again, like the assistant manager and other staff, you could just ask new staff to take it all off you if you didnt want to be 'hands on' but i'm sure there's scope for being more involved in commerical growth of football clubs.

I would give Newcastle as a prime, real life example of them employing people directly to grow the club and increase revenue.

It would be great to be involved in say a new kit manufacturor - Newcastle possibly heading back to Adidas apparently.

Also, can FM reflect the new deals that could come in from the new owners. Saudia (Saudi Air) are long rumoured to be about to drop a huge sponsorship with Newcastle.

But say gaining promotion from the Championship or any division ought to open up lots of options for you - again, maybe just to employ someone to do this for you/the club but equally be directly involved if you wanted.

Thoughts?
