Error in advanced rules

When testing the advanced rules I encountered an error that says Watford have played more than the max number of games in stage 0 in the Sky Bet Championship. Is there a way to fix this?

Have you edited anything ? Is it a customised competition

If this is an edited competition I have seen the same message when I tried to make teams keep their results from an earlier stage.

First find out what caused the error. There's really nothing more I can say to help here without knowing what you've edited.

Yes, I was messing around with Messi's England database, I made it so that instead of teams playing home and away they would just play a single round robin season.

It could be something with the way the promotion playoffs are set up, but FM should know that teams play in promotion playoffs. The reason I say this is the premier league is working fine but the Championship is having issues.

Is the Play-Off played in a group or a cup ?

This way it is possible to define the number of matches per team.

Did you only change the number of rounds? You'd need to change the schedule too. The schedule is set to generate 46 match days, with 31 of them on fixed dates. You'd need to reduce that to account for only wanting 23 games.
