Another domestic double which is pretty straight forward for us now.

We failed to do better then last season in the Champions League which is disappointing but we did manage to get a few draws at the start of the group stage but the big teams were just too dominating for us to handle.

Riccardo Tollardo

An absolute goal machine for us this season with a whopping 46 goals. We rejected a bid from Empoli for him.

I don't know how long we will be able to keep him but he did agree to sign a new contract so hopefully we have him for a bit longer. I also hope to have the option to try call him up to the San Marino national team sometime soon as he is soon to be eligable to call up the national team.

Chaker Tritar

Tritar stepped up this season with 16 goals and 19 assists.

Core supportors down massively dropping 34% but Fair Weather and Corporate fans up.

Our social media followers are up massively as well to 10.8k which is 4.2k up from last season.

We have 297 season ticket holders which I think is the same as last season so no progress on there.

We managed to break record and average attendance records for the club this season due to the expansion.

Without me asking the board have decided to build a stadium but no information yet on how many fans we can hold. I will update once I know.

We did convince the board to improve training facilities again which once built should give us state of the art training facilities.

The only thing I would need to improve then is the youth facilities.

Once you have clicked subscribe to the database edits, you will need to close FM (if you have it open) and re-open it.

Click on start new career mode and in the top right under "database" click on the box and there will be some tick boxes and you just tick the ones you want to use.

Screenshot below to help.

Hi mate,

This is what I had tried and the database part in the top right is greyed out and I am not able to select it. Do I need to pay extra to have this enabled? OR having something selected in preferences etc?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

It seems to now be working!

Subscribed to another custom DB and opened up FM23 and can now select different add-ons. Let the fun begin!

Have started with Victor San Marino in the Eccellenza. Decided to go down the route of only signing players that are eligible for the San Marino national team and using my youth academy graduates. Might be a short lived save as the board want to get promoted to Serie D straight away.

FC Domagnano Champions League Journey So Far

image.thumb.png.029a52085e34a6cefb3fd22572b58411.png

We managed to make the group stage again with wins over Floriana, Omonoia and Legia Warszawa.

Champions League group football guaranteed for another season.

image.thumb.png.931f99bad043359dcb706fe0c7de02c0.png

We play strong opposition in Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Roma and Marseille but we also have winnable games Vs Maribor, St Patricks Athletic and maybe Rangers so you never know.

I want to try do better then I did last season in the Champions League.

How are the others san marino teams doing in europe?

Also how is going with the National Team?

By the looks of it none of the other San Marino teams have done well in Europe but that is expected as I am the only profressional team in the country.

In the 9 seasons I have been in charge of the San Marino national team we haven't moved up the nations rankings by much.

We have gone from 210 to 209 in 9 seasons which isn't very good but we have gotten wins Vs Malta, Latvia and Liechenstein.

This is the national team at the moment.

There are 5 players in the National team from FC Domagnano in the current squad and 4 of them are in the first team.

It will be completed in 2 years time.

Always wanted to have a go at building San Marino so I've downloaded Italy to level 5 and just started up with Victor San Marino. Not sure if I'll be able to get the National Team job down the line or if I needed to do that when setting up my game - can anyone advise please?

Alternatively I see playing within the Sammarinese League is a popular approach, and I'd happily go down that route instead.

I'm only in preseason so happy to scrap and start over if I've got it wrong.

I would do it as a joint manager with the San Marino national team as the job might not come available for a long long time due to the very low expectations.

I have lost nearly every game in the 10 seasons I have done so far and not been anywhere near getting sacked.

Good luck with the challenge. I hope you enjoy it.

We had an easy run of it until we played Dinamo Zagreb but surprisingly we beat them 2-1 on aggregate. We got a vital 1-0 away win vs them and then grinded out a 1-1 draw in the home leg.

image.thumb.png.cdfbb38c2dd59b1b67dd5d6529d82ae0.png

As always in the group stage we got some winnable games and some impossible games lol.

Winnable games vs Baroe Stara Zagora, Sligo Rovers and FC Kobenhaven but then the rest we will most probably get thrashed especiall by Liverpool, Inter Milan, Napoli, Dortmund and Real Socidad.

Giving this challenge a go in the San Marino league.

Does anyone have any advice or good articles or youtube videos for managing the national pool? I've never done international management (well at least) and it's a little overwhelming.

Hire scouts and have them search the scouting pool for players. best to leave the stars searched at 2 stars maybe for current ability as you won't get a lot of great players at the beginning. You'll be building the team around Nanni, Berardi, Benedettini and Fabbri basically for the first few years.

Don't get too attached to players until you turn profressional.

You will probably have a different team every year.

Try look at players with good current ability over potential ability in your first few seasons.

I do worry this is a challenge I wont be able to conquer even if I play for the whole year :D

I'm almost 40 seasons in and won the Champions League only once, so no worries haha. Maybe I will pick the national team up again in few seasons. Squad is starting to look pretty decent now fot rh national team

SEASON 1 UPDATE

We won the San Marino League in the first season at 2 matches from the end, but mid-season we were +12 from the 2nd but due to the fact that we aren't professional, a lot of team took our best players, especially the italian teams

in the Coppa Titano we weren't really good as we got out in the quarter at the 96° minute of extra time

We also almost got the double of fan in the Social Media

Our top player was our goal machine that is Domenico Calvia. The Italian Stallion smashed in 65 goals in 48 games.

Amazing when his finishing is only 8.

It took a full season (plus) of national team management, but we finally found a team we could beat!

image.thumb.png.072b1656f1f9a702cd9e6ee7062aa82b.png

Sadly, it's only a friendly.  But, after two youth intakes from the various leagues, I'm hoping to find a gem or two to bring into the national squad and bolster our chances in the coming year.

Results from first year in charge of national team

Meanwhile, after winning Serie E with my Victor San Marino Squad, we're sitting in pretty good shape heading into the final month of our first season in Serie D.

With a single promotion from the league, it looks like it will take a fair while to move up again.... but, we'll keep at it until we do!

S.C. Faetano - Look like Brazil, play like Brazil?

Who doesn't love a good tree in a logo? As a Nottingham Forest supporter just had to go for the team who look like Brazil also - S.C. Faetano. They have a very modest 3 league titles to their name, the last in 1999. They also have 3 Coppa Titano titles to their name, the last in 1998. A team without a trophy since Y2K looks like a great choice to start with!

I will be managing the San Marino National Team from the start also and have the following set up, along with the AGE database (Rightly or wrongly). The man to take charge will be 19-year-old Samuel Mazza, that well know sunday league player with no coaching badges! As everyone knows on here, first few seasons the churn of players is real, so won't be following them too closely. But this is the squad I managed to scrape together to start the season and glad to see several Sammarinese players still in the starting 11.

14no3G2.png

Now, let's see how the first season goes and for now, will probably just update the National team once a season.
