Player Sale.

A big sale as Eirik Løkken (YP14a) leaves us for Saudi-Arabia. I am quite happy with this, as he did not want to sign a new contract, and was leaving on a free at the end of the season. Not only that, he had fallen down the pecking order, and was only our sixth best striker. And we have quite a few decent players coming up behind him as well.

 

He leaves us after 228 games and 125 goals. He has been one our best players over the last nine seasons!

Champions League 2043/2044

After finishing 7th in the League Phase of the CL, we got a place in the Round of 16.

There we faced Hamburger SV a team we beat 3-2 in the Group Phase.

Even though both of the teams had a lot chances, HSV finished the game with almost double the xG in the first game. The second game we were the best team from the start, and should have scored more goals. In the end it was decided on penalties, and we won the shootout!

 

Next up Olympique Lyonnais, the team that scored the most goals in the League Phase.

We had an amazing comeback in the first game, with us being three goals down, and managing to turn it around!

In the second game however, we had two goals disallowed in the first half, plus the one we scored. In the second half Lyon was the best team, and in the end they won the game 2-1, knocking us out of the Champions League. Overall I am really happy with our first season in the CL! We did a lot better than I expected!

April 2044

Not a good month in the league, losing two out of the four games played. At least we're through in the Norwegian Cup.

After a perfect month and we take the top spot in the league! We conceded three goal against Lillestrøm after the 85th minute.

Marcus Roos (YP16a)

Still being used as a winger, and has not played that many games this season. If we compare him to the picture from last season, he has declined quite a bit as a player. That is not good.

 

Thomas Gudmundsen (YP17a)

Was out for one month this season, probably the reason he did not play more games. I hope someone buys him for the price he is valuated at

I have no idea why our strikers suddenly can't score goals in the league. At least we are still top of the league. The two games in the Cup was against teams from the league below us, so we had no problems with them.

Champions League 2044/2045

So close to Champions League Group Stage this year as well! But in the end we lost to Angers SCO. A bit annoying. But now we have a chance in the Europa League, and we could go far there!

 

We should be able to win a lot of these games to be honest.

Just caught up with this,  a really good read! I had a few seasons with Tromso on FM21 as part of a journeyman save so this brings me fond memories! Do you think you'll be able to bring Marcus Roos back if he continues to struggle or do you not have the financial power to do that yet?

I haven't even though about to be honest, we have so many good players at the moment, so I am not sure if I need him. I believe we can afford him, as the board just raised the transfer budget to 26m!

We got our revenge over the defeat to Rosenborg early in the season! Eight points down to the second place at the moment.

We started the month with a defeat to Strømsgodset, a team we should beat to be honest. After that we had three great games. We're now 10 points ahead with five games to go, I hope we won't mess this up!

 

Another thing I forgot to mention, is that we have expanded our stadium two times in two years! The first upgrade was finished late 2043 with a capacity of 6040. We only played one game at the end of the season before it was expanded once again, this time it was finished late July this year. Now we have a capacity of 9288! But, I really want a new stadium, as we're already filling this one!

Eliteserien champions! That makes it two times in three years for us! It was easier this season, and we ended up 11 points ahead of the second team. But we actually only got two more points than what we finished on in the 2043 season.

Stabæk is actually a newly promotead team, and them finishing second is a great achievement!

And for the first time we managed to do the double! That is three times in a row that we win the Norwegian Cup. We did not play great in the final though, and the main reason was that we had a minor injury crisis, with six players from the starting XI eleven out of the game.

Two late goals from Sandefjord saw us heading in to extra time, and in the end penalties!

Record Sale

He had two years left of his contract and refused to sign a new one, and I had also promised to sell him when someone offered 26m. They came in with a offer at "only" 26 million (even that amount of money is an absolute bonkers transfer), but I managed to almost double that and I just had to agree to the deal. We got 30m more than we got for Thomas Gudmundsen (YP17a)!

With his new contract he has a higher wage than my entire squad.

Youth Intake 2045

One thing I did not realise until now, is that it in the view I am taking a screenshot of, my Assistant Manager is the one giving the player their CA and PA. So in this screen we have no 5* PA players, but when I look at the youth intake in the Inbox, it is the HoYD that is giving them their ratings, and there we have three players with 5* PA! My HoYD has better JPA and JPP, so I am trusting him

With all that in mind, this is a brilliant youth intake! Having three player rated as 5* PA so far in to the save is amazing. I really like the look of the three first players I have posted below (That is an understatement by the way). Arve Andersen Aase (YP23c) will be retrained to play as a LW, as that is a area I need a new player after selling Daniel Bath.

They are absolutely brilliant! I almost want to buy the in game editor just to see what their PA are That will take away a bit of the magic though.

After signing their contracts, all of them got 5* PA (I mean, of course they got, look at them!), and 1.5* CA.

Europa League 2044/2045

After finishing 5th in the Group Stage we got a place in the round of 16, there we faced Feyenoord Rotterdam.

How we did not concede more goals in that first game is beyond me, as we were absolutely smashed in terms of shots. But we managed to draw that game 3-3.

The second game was actually really similar, only this time we were the team that charged at the opposition. We were up 6-1 at half time! And even though they scored two more goals, we got through to the next round.

 

There we faced Stade Rennais FC.

These games was a lot closer than the matches against Feyenoord, and after both of the games was finished, the xG was 3.95 total for us, and 3.89 for them.

We managed to draw the first one, but we lost the second one 1-2. And that was the end for us this season.

A very busy first month of the season, at least when we include the Europa League games (the 6th and the 13th). But what a month it has been, no one has taken a point from us, and we're through in the Cup as well. Could not be happier!

Marcus Roos (YP16a)

Only started a single competitive game for HSV this season, in the German Cup. I have scouted him, and he wants to join us, but his wage demands are absolutely stupid, and he want more than he has for HSV. He has to reduce that by 4/5 to be able to sign for us.

 

Thomas Gudmundsen (YP17a)

This guy is the opposite, and has had his best season for PSG. 33 games for Norway, and just 21 years old!

 

Eirik Løkken (YP14a)

Had a horrible start in Saudi-Arabia after we sold him, but this season he has turned it around. Not that he was setting the world on fire, but at least he performed to a 7.04 rating.

Not a good month in the league, with only four out of nine points. The two games against Brann was weird. In the first one I played a rotated XI and we beat them 3-0, and then our strongest XI in the second game three days later...

He is born on 15th of December 2029. So the only possibility is that we a player born after that date next season, and he will have to score in the first CL game of the season!

 

This is the youngest player in the game. So if we get a player born on this date, but in 2030 (or a later year of course), that is the youngest possible player that can play a game for us!

Unusual month for us, as we lose two games, and draw one. The Lillestrøm game in the cup was very annoying, as they scored a late goal in ordinary time, and then scored two more BS goals in the extra time. Against Tromsø we could have clinched the title, but everyone performed poorly. I am suffering from having a small squad. Ludvig Holm Nordvold (YP16d) broke his foot in July, and he was one of two wingers on the right side of the field. A lot of tired players at the moment. But we still have 13 points down to Sandefjord!
