Making the left winger move into channels…

As the picture indicates, the left winger moves narrow and the LB fills in the left wing. But in Fm, there’s no roles that can make the left winger to move into channels. Does selecting “Get further foward” makes the winger to do that?

Tired training the Player Trait onto him? Could always try him as an Inverted Winger on the left wing with a strong left foot

Almost every role operate around the channel in the final third, including Winger. Only difference will be that they attack the channels in a more diagonal manner rather than pulling wide like it's shown in the image. Still, Wingers do the movement you want when on the ball.

The actual challenge is the RW imo. There is no way you could replicate its positioning in FM. All wide roles come into half-spaces when you camp into opponent's half, don't matter whatever role,PPM,TI combination you use. Wingers on CM strata somehow do it, but even they come narrow than wanted eventually.

Best you can do is have an advanced playmaker or inverted winger on sit narrower.

Play with a narrow shape? He will do exactly what is requested here then. You could also try Raumdeuter, it seems to be what you are looking for, someone who roams into space and sits narrower.

So far, the inverted winger sitting narrow is doing the job.

If your LB's a Wing Back he should be staying wide, any role barring a Winger without a PI should be tucking inside
