EchODAcAt Posted October 1, 2022 Share Posted October 1, 2022 (edited) In the latest update from SI about FM 23 there was no update about the state of International football which left me bitterly disappointed. In my opinion it is made even worse by the fact it is a World Cup year. At the moment it is not great and many don't use the feature/dismiss the feature due to it's inability to be interesting or entertaining. It's hard not hearing about anything because so much of the community wants changes to make it interesting - people want to manage an international team and have the ability to train there players - even if it is for 2 weeks every 2-3 months. People want to be able to increase the familiarity of worse nations with different tactical styles of football. For example, I want to get Australia to play a more physical, technical style of football akin to a intense vertical tiki-taka. Whilst I appreciate this won't happen quickly and I can see the flaws in my next argument in that Australia was better then, but Guss Hidink had Australia playing a style of football they hadn't played before well because he made them buy into the idea. It would be good to be able to make my mark on a national team rather than being forced into a tactical style - where it makes sense of course (for better nations or nations with a footballing ID this would be less applicable OFC, but training to get players into this style after playing different styles would still be beneficial). I will follow this with a poll to show you just how popular this idea might be - it is something that needs to be fleshed out and there isn't much time left pre-release but I think this is something that seriously needs to change - and quick given it's a World Cup year. CGro81 Posted October 19, 2022 Share Posted October 19, 2022 I think International tournaments need there own unique look whilst going on. Much like deadline day got its overhaul last year. We need to be dragged into the tournaments most of the time they play out in the background and you don't even know its happening. The period when they are on should primarily be all about them even if you aren't managing internationally your club should still be intrigued by the scouting potential if nothing else. I am a football fan I want to be absorbed by International tournaments not have to spend 5 mins trying to find out if it happened in the background somewhere. 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
rbirdy17 Posted October 21, 2022 Share Posted October 21, 2022 I have been suggesting this feature for the last 3 additions. Going on deaf ears on SI part by the looks of it. It is beyond frustrating how they continue to ignore international management and set piece additions. Especially with the game releasing weeks before a world cup, it would have been a perfect time to do so, but they failed to capitalize on it. Instead we get a feature that we can do on our own excel spreadsheets as a massive addition..... What a waste of money for a full priced game. You can't go 5 mins without hearing about a WC or Euros when they're on IRL, but in FM they just ghost by with barely a mention. I love the idea of international management but SI's neglect to implement even the most basic features (training, interactions, dynamics) puts me off Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
