Do any of you watch the show reels for players created by your scouts?

When your scouts compile a show reel for the player your scouting, do you watch it? Does it matter to you at all?

I havent ever watched one, I'm not sure how they work within the game, especially when we rely on attributes for 'how good' a player is.

 

I like the purist idea of no attributes and just performance stats and video clips, but I think that would require a massive change to how the game works

yes, but I think it needs to be after an assignment where they watch a match or two.

indeed the value of the feature seems rather opaque, hopefully someone can chime in with a tad more insight because it certainly feels realistic and immersive to see them.

Yeah I watch them, it shows various highlights of things the player did in a match. For example for a midfielder it could show their passes and tackles

It's in the scout report. It appears if your scouts watched the player in a match/matches

Confirmed. I'm pretty surprised by how many of my shortlisted players' reports don't include them. I mean if my youth players can teleport in and out of training camp, why can't my scouts teleport to a few more matches?

Well, I hadn't expected to be one of the few players aware of this. 

For anyone who hasn't found them, go to the scouted players section in the scouting tab and click around your scout's reports.  

If they've never watched the player before, you won't see anything, obviously, but if they have then they will have prepared a viewable highlight package from however many games watched.

If you ask a scout to watch a player's matches in a league you haven't loaded they still will, however, you cannot watch any highlights.

Wow, I've been playing FM since 1929, and have never heard of such feature, which does seem to exist. However, you need to set scouts to watch a "number of games", right? My scouts are set to investigate for "1 week".

it’s by assignment, no? you should be able to send your scouts to watch up to 4 matches. sorry, I am not the best with scouting so maybe someone else can chime in.
