No, it only works for USNT player, USNT youth players or former MLS players.

The MLS basicly signs them to a contract and says "Here MLS teams, take this player".

Then you can particiapte in the Allocation and the Allocation Order is determined by the Supporter Shield result of last season.

 

So Miami was last place in the Supp. Shield, so I was gettin him no matter what.

But if i didnt wanted him, I just dont participate and press "reject".

Finally its time for the summer window.

Larsson wanted to leave, because he wants to play for Sweden again. He had a 4 mio clause, so he is off the Germany.

Matuidi would be only her until the end of the season, and tbh, he wasnt doin much.

Carranza would be a decent backup, but he was already on 685k/y and this was way to much. Sadly no MLS team wanted him.

We traded in couple of international slots, because we had a plan.

Well...here are the improvements!

 

Our attack was heavily lacking, so hopefully this will fix it.

Also with Larsson and Carranza out, this gave us so much room in the Salary Cap.

 

 

Midfield

Fein will take the DLP spot. He takes the DP contract from Larsson.

Brescianini will bring some competition to the B2B role.

 

Right Back

We really needed a 2nd RB and my DoF found Ferrani.

Cheap wages and an attacking wingback, this is what we needed.

 

Attack

Another Bayern boy in Joshua Zirkzee will hopefully be the solution in the attack.

Maja, I know from a previous save and Marin will be our new option at LW.

Matheus was found by our DoF again and for 325k and those cheap wages, why the hell not.

 

We did some great work on the Salary Cap.

Its a waste, but I bought down every contract with GAM to see, where we at.

We maybe even could squeeze in the 3rd DP.

Bad games against Atlanta and Minnesota.

The new boys arrived before the NE game and we played really good.

Heber finally could play in the left wing and he thanked us with a hattrick.

With the rebuild I am looking forward to a Treble this season with Inter Miami! (MLS, Supporters, and US Cup)

PS I just won MLS and Supporters in 2029 with NE Revs in my current save (75 points and only 3 losses)

Im really impressed with the Dallas AI too.

They still got the entire core of the players and their manager is just playing 4231.

I think next season we can push for it.

I'm sorry, but there's no reason for this type of obnoxious behavior in here. Cheez3y opened a thread on his MLS save in here. August 2023 - MLS - Eastern Conference

We had a two week break, so I got two moral booster in.

After that the new boys settled in and we are playing pretty damn good.

 

We even got the chance for the top spot in the East.

Big big game against NYRB coming.

If we win, we got top spot in our hands.

Also we finish the regular season with two back2back games against the other team from NY.

Smashed Austin, deserved loss vs NYFC at home, beat NYRB is a thriller and got revenge against NYFC at their ground.

 

This means....we finish top in the East!

NYRB lost on the last day against Philly.

Couldn't get through their defense..I mean look at the Clear Cut Chance created from our boys.

End Of Season Review 2023

 

 

Amazing first season at Inter Miami!

We crafted a good team in the winter, but we upgraded it in the summer to an amazing team.

This meant the team played better and better and in the end we even won the regular season one the last day in the East.

Also we finished runners-up in the Supporter Shield.

 

Sadly we lost in the semi final of the EC playoffs to Philly.

The addition of Fein, Zirkzee and Brescianini was key to our end season form.

The core will stay the same, we are just looking for real upgrades.

Philly won the EC final against Atlanta.

And in the West SJ beat Dallas in the final.

 

And Philly went all the way and won the MLS Cup against San Jose.

 

 

This means Philadelpia Union got their 1st MLS Cup.

Nice to see that the AI is also working on it.

Working on some trades over the past months.

 

I went through the squad and I saw maybe the problem.

In our big game against Philly we had 4 players on the pitch who hates big matches.

In total we had 7 players in the squad. One per position is fine, but both both our RW Necul and Matheus got it.

 

So we cashed out Brescianini and Matheus for some decent deals.

Dont need to apologies.

 

You always got 2 DP + 1 Young DP (under 21) spots.

Also you can buy another normal DP spot in the offseason if you want.

 

But I find it hard to bring real stars like Bale into the MLS.

Huge trade for Keaton Parks.

The 2024 Superdraft isnt that hot and got only one player I want, so Im happy with trading away two 1st rounder for 2024.

 

With Parks now Godoy is surplus, so we get one intern. slot back.

It is interesting to read how people make priorities. Cheezy plays in a way I had never thought of and there are surely many other ways to go as well. Fascinating.

As for your thought there, my experience is that getting the best Americans can be really difficult due to MLS' lower appeal relative to many other leagues combined with high wages for the best Americans available. If you want to win going for the classic South American wonderkids hoarding surely is a tempting way. They can come relatively cheap both in fee and wages.

You need to find the right sweat spot, because normally the international players are just better.

I think 10-11 international slots are perfect.

 

I figured out that if you want to get rid of a player, then often will give you international slots for 3-5 years. For e.g. Godoy.

Then you can use them as assets to go for some big trades like we did with Parks.

 

After all the trades we did over the past 3 months, we still only got 10 internat. spots.
