I can hear my GPU fan stopping and starting while playing FM

Recommended Posts

It's more the case of when nothing is happening I think, ie ive put a step in using afterburner so the fan doesn't stop and you don't hear it, I would just not prefer to run another program at the same time as FM to not have this problem.

PC not laptop.

Right okay well if its a PC it may make things easier

I would download HWMonitor so you can see the CPU temps.  I'd be interested to know what the temps are idling and when FM is running.

If you want to keep the fans on at all times but with no other program running you can change that in the BIOS.  Here's an article that runs you through it https://cybersided.com/fan-curves/

Edit - I've just noticed you've said GPU not CPU!  as far as i'm aware Afterburner or similar software is the only way to control GPU fans.  HWMonitor will be handy though as you can see how toasty the GPU is getting.
