The Club Holland play in the Eastern Counties League Division 1 South and are nicknamed Mighty Holland! Our team was pretty much on par or better than most others thanks to our 2 big players being strikers. Between them they scored 106 goals! League Table We comfortably win this in the end. Although offers starting to come in for our main 2! FA Cup No run here at all to generate income. We were poor away at Moneyfields! FA Vase Actually played well away at Stourport but their finishing on the day was superior! Eastern Counties League Cup 2 trophies this season. A very straightforward run to the final were we thumped Diss Town! Player Review - Enrico Destro Young Italian who played mainly just behind the strikers. 21 goals and 17 assists show how good he was! Player Of The Season - Anthony Spyrou Our main striker and he was deadly! 67 goals and 13 assists in 49 games! He is being chased now by others teams. Turned a few down thus far so hope it continues! Young Player Of The Season - Jordi Papple Not quite as deadly but 39 goals and 17 assists is nothing to be sniffed at. Expect offers for him also this summer! Team cohesion definitely helps in this FM version! Playoffs Well what a game this was. A total of 62 shots on goals. 6 goals shared and penalty heartbreak for ourselves. League Table We finished 3rd but got knocked out in the playoff semis by Newham who went on to win the playoffs. FA Cup We got through a couple of rounds but Aveley were too strong for us. FA Vase A really good run here as we made the 4th round! Essex Senior League Cup A completely rotated team dominated Southend Manor but they were clinical. Player Review - Anthony Whyte (YP22B) A very good season for Whyte who grabbed 4 goals and developed really well throughout the season. Player Of The Season - Steven Bloom (YP22F) Well this man developed more than anyone else this season jumping an incredible 14 CA points! That resolute personality coming in handy. He scored 6 goals and got 6 assists from the deep lying midfield position! Young Player Of The Season - Andy Cooper (YP22D) Averaging an impressive 7.05 for a keeper he has developed nicely! We went through some minor blips but once the new intake came in it really pushed us to the top of the table late on. We only overtook Cockfosters with 2 games left to play! League Table We finished 4pts clear of Cockfosters and Basildon. Cockfosters where top for most of the season but fell apart near the end which included a playoff final loss! FA Cup A decent run here was ended in the 1st qualifying stage in a classic! FA Vase Our reserves got us through to the 3rd round of this cup where another high scoring loss ensued! Essex Senior League Cup We made it to the semi finals where again we lost out in this competition in a penalty shootout! Player Review - Ross Stenner (YP23L) A handy player as he covers both sides. He played 33 (2) times this season grabbing 2 assists. Player Of The Season - Cameron Gibbs (YP23A) Our main man from last seasons intake. Scored 34 goals and got 5 assists in 43 games! Young Player Of The Season - Eric Fish (YP23B) Has made the AMC position his own this season taking over from Destro. He played 38 times scoring 13 goals and getting 15 assists! League Table We were not top at any stage of this season until the very last day! Bury lost and we won which meant we won the league! FA Cup Our best run here as we reached the first round and even though we got thumped it did help our finances slightly! FA Trophy Backups mainly used here. We got through a couple of rounds but Ramsgate ended our mini run! Isthmian League Cup Again backups were used here. Managed to get through the first round but they were unable to beat Hullbridge. Player Review - Dale Weeks (YP24D) One of those players who can be utilised in a number of positions. Mainly using him on the wing and he is progressing quite well. He got 7 goals and 8 assists this season which is a good return! Player Of The Season - Cameron Gibbs (YP23A) As expected he was our main man scoring 34 times in 45 games this season and grabbing 7 assists and finished 2nd in the league golden boot race! Young Player Of The Season - Samu Juvonen (YP24E) Now capped at u19 level for Finland he had a very good season for us scoring 13 goals and getting 9 assists from the wing! Transfers Out We released a number of players this summer as they were no longer good enough for the team and were taking up wage budget where we didnt have it. Sometimes these can be VERY good. YP22B is Guyanese. YP23A is Australian. (When I say small Nations I mean small footballing Nations). YP24E is Finnish. YP25B is Guyanese. YP25C is Nigerian. YP26G is Jamaican. Oh what an idiot I am. I've only just seen looking at the very last intake that you have CA/PA values available. It's interesting that I was on the money on every single occasion though, (without having seen the CA/PA values). I found this to be the case time and time and time again in my Irchester save and you can almost predict it. Don't get me wrong, if they have a negative personality then it's a waste of time, but seeing these primary Nationalities should set the alarm bells ringing that you have something decent (even when CA/PA isn't available). Enjoy the ride. Yeah I always liked tracking the CA/PA values and comparing the perceived potential vs actual potential. I love getting players from these smaller footballing nations. We were fantastic this season which included some big unbeaten runs of 10 games and 14 games! League Table We were comfortable winners here and nice to see the greatly named Corinthian-Casuals join us! FA Cup We made it to the first round again where we were beaten in a highly entertaining game by Barnet! FA Trophy I tried to give some of our rotational players game time here. They did well to get through 3 rounds but Aldershot were a step too far! Isthmian League Cup Again our backups were used and got through to the 4th round where they were knocked out by Canvey Island! Player Review - Barnabas Victor (YP25C) A really good additional from last years intake to support Gibbs up top. He scored 28 goals and got 10 assists in his first full season. Player Of The Season - Cameron Gibbs (YP23A) Our main man who is locked down for 2 more seasons which is great! Would be surprised if we didnt start getting offers soon! 35 goals and 13 assists in 45 games for him last season including the golden boot in the league! Young Player Of The Season - Javier Murray (YP25B) Our starting left winger had a fantastic breakout season becoming our Cesc Fabregas! 4 goals and a very impressive 23 assists for him! Finances The board provided an injection of 70k to bring us back into the black! This wont last for long however! Transfers We released 7 players who were on normal part time contracts and on top of this also released 2 youth player in McGlone-Hayes (YP24P) and Eaton-Collins (YP24I) who were never going to be first team ready! A fairly kind run until Barnsley who has 2 men sent off and a man injured when all their subs were used! We were battered by Leicester but it helped bring our balance up to 250k! League Table We finished 7th which got us into the playoffs! An amazing performance! Playoffs We had 3 centre backs injured or suspended here and had to play a full back in there and it showed. Blyth were the better team throughout and deserved their win. FA Cup An amazing run here which really helped our finances and enabled us to get more improvements! FA Trophy Out at the first stage as our reserves struggled! Player Review - Jim Hall (YP24A) Our first choice keeper had another solid year conceding just over a goal a game which considering our level is pretty good. Player Of The Season - Dylan Bull (YP26B) Utilised mainly in the deep lying role now he was outstanding for us with 17 assists and 4 goals in 44 appearances! Young Player Of The Season - Kevin Barton (YP24J) This man doesnt have the highest PA but he has shot up recently in terms of current ability (42 CA points in 3 seasons) which means he is our star centre back now. An impressive 7.12 rating and 2 goals to boot! Transfers Out We lost some players on free transfers as they were on non contracts. No real big losses but disappointing none the less! Released At the end of the season we lost another batch of youngsters who simply were not going to be good enough or were not improving! Especially at centre back where we have 2 players who can come into the team straight away! Also nice to see a potential striker some in as we are short there after Gibbs left.
