Being sacked WITHOUT an ultimatum first?

It's not that I get sacked often (just getting that in there) but I can't recall the last time it happened without having been given one of those ultimatums first, like 11 points from the next five games or whatever.

It seems that gone are the days where, for example, you'd be on a bad run, lose another game and when you click 'continue' it's with baited breath in case the next screen is the one greeting you with your P45. 

I don't entirely begrudge the ultimatums because it can obviously give you the kick up the rear you might need to make changes or whatever, but that element of surprise is no bad thing either, to keep you on your toes and to be more like real life.

Has anyone had many sackings in recent versions of the game that have either come out of the blue, or without having had to have a board ultimatum first?

No board ultimatums, but I did get a press ultimatum in one save -- i.e. they were telling me for several weeks that defeat in the next game would see me sacked. I was new in the job at the time, which might have been a factor -- obv. the previous manager had left a mess. Still, we pulled through...

Never been in that position. I'm up there with Klopp & Pep. I've even been referred to by the fans as Professor Proud C*ck ;-)

I have had a couple of warnings in my careers in the game but never been sacked without a warning appearing somewhere.
